Not on mainland Europe it isn't. The ticket prices may be a little less than here but they get Millions for each shirt sponsor, multi millions for TV and multi millions in other commercial revenue. Compare that to Scotland where you are lucky to get hundreds of thousands for sponsorship etc. Mainland Europe really isn't a very good model to follow as we're never going to get the Commercial Money they get. I would add maybe an extra 100 or two onto that for a game at New St Mirren Park (Motherwell's first visit) and it's a cup game to be honest.

Unfortunately for that to happen you will have to a. Get ALL clubs to agree or there will be a huge gap between those clubs who charge £10-£15 and those who charge £22 as there would not be THAT much of an increase week in week out. If you're playing shite no one is going to come and watch you for £15 anymore than they will for £22 to cover the difference in the long run. and b. Football players will need to look at their wage demands or c. TV companies will need to offer us a lot more money (look at clubs across Europe with low crowds, high wages, and still plenty of money) d. Fans will need to expect a lot less of a product on the field compared to those with especially c. no doubt (even worse than it is now)

I'm just putting something out there and it may be well off the mark but could the reason the prices are back at Catagory A prices is because a. Motherwell F.C. understood Celtic and Rangers would waiver the 5% charge which they haven't b. Motherwell F.C. understood Celtic and Rangers would return the favour and charge the same prices. Which they didn't c. The Motherwell fans were angy with the price drop so they went fuck it, here it goes back to normal... Granted, no matter what it would not have been good enough to the Motherwell faithful.

Totally agree. I would be shocked if we have no undersoil heating that works. I would be shocked if we fixed the part we broke, but I would be shocked if the lot of it was out of order. Especially when we have been fined only £20K Sometimes I wonder whether Journos do make sure everything is 100% correct (see all the rumours etc that lead to nothing) but it also means if Motherwell don't react by suing him then it doesn't necessary mean the journo is correct. Totally agree with that but there were a few "How dare he do that to me and I pay x, y z to support this club" before he came out and denied it. Happened with Buzz last season as well (against Gretna I think). A game where he took so much abuse yet if it wasn't for him we would have been 2-0 down before we even kicked a baw in anger.

I know what you mean but McCarthy thinks he is Scottish and was brought up Scottish, but went in a huff because he wasn't chosen at 15 years old by Scotland. If he was brought up Irish by his parents then fair enough but the fact of the matter he wasn't. And despite what people say neither was McGeady. Where you are born does not make you nationality alone. But drinking one pint of Guiness which seems to be the only need for being Irish is a little much.

One of the worst finishes I have seen by Clarkson that have ended as a goal. Why the hell did he hit the ball like that! Could have smashed it with his left (he's already got a few with his left in the last couple of seasons) or even controlled it. Woeful defending though Stonewall penalty. How it was not given god knows especially as the referee had a great view. Must have had 1-0 on his coupon.
