Yes, and it was Saudi Arabia Over 30's the lost too

Why does that matter. If the managers know the Scottish game they can be blinded by reputation, which would see McDonald and McManus seen as a class above anyone else in their squad. We need a manager who can spot our problems and fix them. Doesn't matter if that person is a former player, a guy who knows who the right back at Queen's Park is like or a guy who first found out a team called Motherwell existed when their agent said to them they had applied for the job.

Too young to see him play, but the auld man was discussing how good he was at the weekend. Best he ever saw, he said. RIP
-
Meanwhile the DFB don't even ask for an explanation before handing out fines. And that country is classed as a one of the most fan friendly

If McGhee came back, managed to teach McDonald how to pass a ball 5 yards, had our front 3 or 4 ripping shreds out of defenders, while our own defenders remembered how to do basics and we ended up either a) top 6 or b) going on a decent cup run then almost everyone (not all, but let's be honest there are some who still maintained to the very end Higdon was not good enough for us) would be waxing lyrical. Looking at our players I think there is a decent team there in respect to this league. Think McGhee could do us a turn. Is he the best man for the job? Fuck knows as I don't know the name of every applicant.

Why does who or at what level a person plays at matter to whether they'd be a good coach or manager?
-
As over top as what happened to Werder Bremen? A fine which the club told the fans to pay or get tae Fuck - they duly paid? Also a couple of thousand with well placed smoke bombs/flares = atmosphere; a couple of hundred with a smoke bomb/pellat = a couple of hundred people with a smoke bomb/pellat. Saying that the Bois do a good job, and you seen, and heard the difference at the weekend, with my 6 year old even asking why he can't go over there

Is "not getting in starting IX" that much of a sin you put it down as a failure? And "not the greatest keeper". Really? You also missed out McDonald, Clarkson and Pearson.

It's less dignified than that. After release from Oxford and being rejected by clubs like Hamilton he went to the GH Academy, was then loaned to some non league mob and then Northampton. Northampton wanted to keep him though but he chose to stay in Spain with Sevilla (playing for Sevilla Atletico), Celta (playing for Celta B) before getting his break with the Udinese Group when he signed for Grenada which seen him get loans to Cadiz and Watford (before a permanent move). I might be way out but I don't think he'd be where he is if Accies hadn't rejected him before his move to GH or if he signed on at Northampton.

I just don't understand it. I wish more players would go the Gauld/Anya route. Go abroad, actually learn new shit. Might not earn as much at Tenerife or Mallorca than at some middle order League 1 team but you'd be in with a shot of playing against some of the best players in the world while living a few miles or so from a beach.

Grimshaw's main problem was that it seems he was not told the defence was pushing out. Either one of the CBs or the keeper needs to give him a word. -

Grimshaw's main problem was positioning. But then again that's why teams have a marshal in the defence, we do not have that. -
Ainsworth for me. Kennedy was very good apart from his continued decision of knocking his free kicks into the East.

We were not very good. Thankfully Patrick were worse. Although if some of our players could pass the ball successfully over 5-10 yards think we would have won a lot more comfortably than we did -
Eh, we've never hired anyone with SP(F)L managerial experiance in our history, why do we need to start now?
-
Yeah possibly 3 trophies in 2 years in little success compared to all the previous multi trophy winning managers we've hired like eh....... .... Got nothing sorry
-
Well the club have won 3 honours in their history, two of which were under Valakari's leadership.
-
Really depends on what his job was. Was it to end in a certain position or remain the the SPFL Premiership. If it was the latter, then he did do a very good job, if it was the former then he didn't, as I cannot see 11th being the target.
-
Not true. It's cheaper to sack one useless c**t than 18 useless c**ts.
-
Yeah agree stats are huge in sports, especially American but then again in the US Big 3 the chances of a draw are almost 0. It's easier to do a win ratio when the result is 99% of the time a win or loss. None of these pesky draws. When grading a manager I think Points Won Points Won % Loss Percentage Are better overall indicators although goal differentual could be a little harsh in the end.
-
Pressley, Lennon, McPherson..... OK, Baraclough, all is forgiven please come back Mixu would be good, if we can find some more funds for January
-
Nice stats but why would you take out St Mirren, Kilmarnock and Hamilton? If you're doing that then you should take out defeats to Celtic, Aberdeen and ICT from last season. Do those wins not matter as much (in fact the opposite is true at our end of the table) FFS, there's taking stats to take your side of things then there is taking stats to take the absolute pish! You either give the whole win ratio - which by the way is a stupid stat to judge a manager by as a manager with 1 win 0 draws and 9 defeats has the same win ratio as a manager with 1 win 9 draws and 0 defeats - or you don use it at all

You better be in the away end then. People who hope we lose to get rid of one man are twats. Should he go, definitely but supporting a rival team over your own, fuck that. -

Eh, I'm in the Bara out camp chump. There has been no change in the ability of our "Pros" from last season to this. Be it the new guys or old. They were shite last season, their inability to do basics that, if you require to learn them on a training field when you're the other side of 30 is laughable. Basics like passing ball, control, heading, marking, tackling shouldn't need a manager to show you. All players who's contract is up in the summer either need to retire in the summer, drop down the leagues or improve 100% -

Amazing pish for McCall, pish for Baraclough. Both the managers fault. Wonder how long the next guy gets before the "pros" in our team put their hands up and state "not our fault gov"
