3-1 Motherwell. Easy
-
Yeah, shocking play from him on the lead up to the goal.... Oh wait, no. Sutton, if you give him something to work with will do well, like yesterday, although he can seem to fall out of games (there was a 10 min period last night I forgot he was on the park).
-
United had two shots on target in first half, both from 20 odd yards. Tell me where I am wrong? Very much this.
-
He had two saves both from 20+ yards. He did not "keep us in it". He like everyone else played well
-
The major difference from previous weeks was the chance they had when Twardzik was soft in the challnge and they flashed it across the box, there were like 8 Motherwell players between the six yard box and the goal line - a couple of weeks ago that number would have been 4 or less. Defended as a team, something that has been missing this season so far I feel
-
No he was offside. To sum it up, if any part of your body that can score is offside, then you're offside. This has always been the case as far as I can remember, and despite what the commentators say, there is no "give the advantage to the attacker" crap in the Laws of the Game. Just seen the highlights there, and after watching the game twice I still come to the same conclusion, we deserved that win. Not sure where people are getting the whole on another night United could have scored 4 or 5.
-
What game did you actually watch? If the answer is the Motherwell v Dundee Utd then it's official you know fuck all about football
-
Cause one is a left footer, the other a right. Same reason you do it at free kicks. So the defence don't know if it is an in swinger or out swinger. Decent idea. Good win, deserved
-
Tbh, some posters still can't spell Hammell correctly despite him being here an age
-
That's only cause we've not finished in one of the danger spots yet
-
Depends how you devine it. Average Attendance, Turnover, etc we're rather lower middle order, and can say the fact we are an established top flight club, when you see the teams around us have faired nowhere as well in the league. In recent times we are the top 3 side, with two second places finishes and two further no lower than third in the last 10 years. In the history of the SPL, only three clubs seen better overall points total than us, two of them are now in a lower league - granted, we have had luck in forms of teams unable to follow rules etc. but that is neither here nor there. The fact we have had a top 4 squad the last few years despite there being bigger clubs in the top league than us is testament to great choice of managers at the dead end of the SPL, beginning of the SPFL

Yeah, you only do it hiding behind a screen. Anyway, Ojamma, by far the best player on the park last night. Ainsworth and Vigurs also had good games
-
Being kind. Wouldn't even give school boy the bad name by comparing it to that either
-
Ojamma is working his socks off. Should have now about 3 or 4 assists. Less said about their goal the better, that tackle 40 odd yards from goal is the worst attempt at a break away foul I've seen in a while
-
Feeder clubs really? Maybe the Udinese Group or Red Bull (although the latter I doubt will not like the no sponsor name thing) are looking for a Scottish team.... ... Then again maybe not
-
The problem with the youth setup is that there is this mentality if you have not made it by a certain age you never will added to the fact our scouting network seems to be naw that great, or at least our sales pitch anyway. Motherwell are fighting with Hamilton, Celtic, Rangers, Patrick, Livingston, Falkirk, Hearts, Hibs and St Mirren mostly. Take out the Old Firm but the rest, we should be able to sell and gain a decent amount of players. We don't, as Livingston and Hamilton especially have managed to produce (find?) more quality, or at least coach them to a higher level than we managed, while we've managed to make more money in the foreign market because of our level. Not to mention the likes of United coming to our back yard and taking players before we make a move.
-
Cause it's worked all season that?
-
For the last few years it's what people said they would accept. Of course they're is a major caveat, we got to win the League Cup
-
Surely that is unless we're in the Scottish Cup Final or won the League Cup? Did people not say for the last three years they would take this kind of crap to be like St Mirren and Kilmarnock.....
-
Reid was looking then did the cardinal sin of not turning and facing. In the same game he challenged Anderson twice as our defenders shat it, despite being fouled. He made less mistakes than a lot of our keepers. And much less than the men in front of him
-
Agree with the sentiment, but the time for price rises is after Christmas, not the season where football clubs make a large portion of their set income (Prize Money and Season Ticket money). As for the argument about budgets, is this not the first season since McGhee that we have kept our budget the same/expanded it?
-
No we couldn't. Stirling Albion tried to under the SFL banner and the rule has not changed.
-
The top 12 clubs in the country, be they from the Cities or from the middle of nowhere. If Accies manage to turnaround there 2-0 deficit then they are one of the 12 ideal clubs. Fan base, financial pulling power etc. Should not have any bearing on the matter, if your football team is not better than another 12 clubs.
-
That would be true, but we go into the 2nd Round not 3rd mate.
-
So has super keeper Dan Twardzik....
