You got stats to back that up? I bet on average a small club in the SPL has sold more players to the Championship and the Premiership over the last 5 years than Rangers have, and that was while in the SPL....

GazzyB sums it mostly, although I do not despise Rangers. I do find it funny though that they continue to require to sign "named" players to compete in Divison 2! I was a Rangers youngster I would be asking serious questions. Also, I wish people would stop with this a footballers career is a short one, as it can, possibly go from the age of 16 to well over the National Retirement Age (see Alex Ferguson). As mentioned earlier the SPL proposals will once and for all end the debate over a bigger league. The SPL proposals are there to end any chance of the Part-Time teams closing the gap on the Full Time teams. We were told before that we needed to re-distribute wealth before we could enlarge our league, well there is no way to enlarge a league (and have promotion and relegation) if you make the gap bigger at the level you would realistically make the next tier in the bigger league. I won't hold my breath but I would love to know why the SFL proposal was rejected. Also, why is the 26th club in the SFL being hit by almost a grand in the SPL proposal but able to make a wopping extra £24K in the SFL proposal!

I think the fact, as has been touched on that we're getting someone like Samson in could be really good for Motherwell. Unless you have a player who is so far ahead of anyone else in a position (ala Randolph) then comeptition can make a person playing a position perform above average to very good more often (what a Smason v Hollis and/or another will do). As for Law, if some of the the rumours are true, moving to Rangers could be a disaster financially. Also what happened to his move down south all signed and sealed that was being spouted on here a few months ago? In other news McCall moved to favourite at some bookies for Sheffield United position.

TBH I don't get the whole Agent hate. Players are the one's that make the decision to have an agent. It is the players that hire agents to take as much money they can get. If an Agent says you can earn x at y club, doesn't mean said player needs to go. He does have his own opinion. Player chooses to leave, not an agent.
