  1. Only by mutual agreement.
  2. They matter so much that over the same period these teams are showing that they have what it takes to beat Celtic (or Rangers) - they've been playing catch-up to us and at times, especially ICT being royally humped by us. But other people use the "big game" crap to bash McCall yet only for some stupid reason talk about Celtic, Rangers and Cup games. Every match is a big game for Motherwell, and we by far win more than we lose. No? Anyway - as for the game, 2-1 us. Fuck it - we'll go 2-0 up and then they'll peg us back in the 85th minute then for the next 10 minutes (5 minute injury time) it will be the greatest defensive performance we have seen in a long time.
  3. The thing is we've claimed to be a selling club for years, but since the 90's we've only managed to break the £1m mark twice. That's shocking for any club that basis a model on bringing through players and then selling them on.
  4. You are. It is the age at the end of his contract. If we offered him the same amount as he was on now (or more) and he rejected it then we'd be due a Development Fee for him.
  5. Yes, same rule with Murphy offer him a contract of the same amount or greater than what he has now = compensation.
  6. If we need to change it to get goals, then so does most of the SPL, since we're third in the goal scoring charts.
  7. You can agree to sell/sign a player at any time with the permission of his current club.
  8. TBH our record as a selling club is a joke. For a selling club, with what some class as an OK youth policy to only sell two players for over £1m since 1990 has to raise a few eyebrows. As for the actual deal, if it goes through - good luck to the boy.
  9. You are correct. And I am sure (don't quote me on it) but because he turns 24 after the Summer International Transfer Window opens we will still be entitled to the Bosman Compensation Fee - if we offer him the exact same contract he is on now.
  10. 4-1 us. Fucking easy. Higdon x2, Murphy and Law. Our defence will have a complete brain fart between the second and fourth goal.
  11. Topic now re-opened. Sorry about that, stupid phone!
  12. We're the top club in SPL when it comes to getting something from a losing position so far this season.
  13. Hibs have a rather solid home form, but we have a very solid away form. They'll be smarting after being done by ICT, we'll be hurting after being knocked out of the cup. Think it is going to be a cracker of a game, like the games against them usually are (why it not on TV, when no game is this week). 3-1 us. Higdon and Murphy give us a 2-0 HT lead. Griffiths scores very early in second, before we sit in deeper and deeper but manage to catch them on the break with a Omar Daley goal.
  14. OK we're out of the cups and shite at home because we have several crap players. Do we find new players for the away games?
  15. I didn't know you won anything extra for beating the Old Firm clubs....
  16. Is that the same type of manager that has seen his team be spanked 4-1 and 5-1 in two games against a team that is shit and has a shit manager.... according to some on here
  17. I love stats... 17 league games and we've scored more goals than any team except the two teams above us. 17 league game and only the two clubs above us have less defeats Our squad is on it's arse, I feel sorry for the other clubs...
  18. Cup games are fair enough, but games against the Old Firm? Mean fuck all if you lose other games before or after it. I don't think when we went to Inverness a scudded them without much problem (the scoreline actually flattered them) we got less points than Inverness did the following game when they beat Celtic. I'd take getting humped off the Old Firm match after match, if I don't have to witness teams on our level coming to our patch and scoring for fun any season - it's how we got third last season.
  19. So we play with no keeper for the rest of the season?
  20. Of course there are problems with his style of coaching/management. Like the players if he was the top of the range he wouldn't be managing Motherwell.
  21. Left Go Ahead Eagles in May (joined them in March) after losing the Promotion Playoff.
  22. So.... All the good work done = because of the players.... All the bad work done = Because of the manager.... And your answer is Jimmy "fucking" Calderwood
  23. Some of the best teams in the world only have a "plan a". Our second half performance against Hibernian in the re-arranged game was night and day from our first half. If the manager takes the blame for the crap performances then he has to be entitled to take the plaudits for the change in performances. Backwards? We're the only team bar Celtic that are doing what we've been doing since McCall was in charge. We're above Hibs and Aberdeen, both having excellent seasons, and we're behind a team that we're leading 9-2 on aggregate in two games.
