There is only one player currently good enough to play behind two strikers and in front of midfield - if we had a sitting midfielder to cover the extra gap. His name is not Murphy. As for central midfield. We're weak enough in there without putting us a man down in midfield by playing Murphy there....

If we start with Ojamaa or at least give him more than 10 minutes there is no way Dundee United are keeping a clean sheet in this match. They make our defenders look like the 90's Italian defence.

We'll be clear top three this season. Even the inability of our "best" defender to do the basics of defending, and for some reason our inability to hold onto the ball in midfield makes us look excellent compared to almost every other team in the SPL.

Hateley will likely be at Central Midfield again.... with Ramsden going to Centre Back to partner Hutchinson. Get Ojamaa on for Murphy. 4-1 us.... (Higdon x2, Hutchinson and Murphy late on). They'll score from a corner or a cross when our centre backs forget to mark again... Good to see the boo boys have picked their new victim. Step forward Cummins. Forget that most of our goals conceded haven't been due to him but hey ho!

TBF Ross County have conceded less goals than us (despite conceding five today)....... Doesn't say much for our abilities when we're one of those teams that haven't scored against them. As for our team - our central defenders need to get some positional awareness. Nae point going for a ball if you let it go over your head.

He was culpable.... For thinking Hammell could realise danger in and around the box.... For thinking Hutchinson had the basic ability of a defender in being able to mark a player.... For thinking between one of them, 7 players could maybe mark one player What was you choice team for during the week? What was you team for today? He picked the wrong team? No, he might have had a few players that were questionable, but the fact of the matter was it was the players (those every man and his dog on this site seems to wank over) that cost us the game on Wednesday, and the goals last Sunday....

Humphrey is the only guy who has raped him in his time here - granted it was a one of, in the 2-0 game at Fir Park. Play the ball in front of Humphrey and he might do something, give it to him with his back to goal he's gonna do fuck all. Who drops out of Centre Back - if any? 3 man in midfield - one of them a winger? Really? And you think the result would have been more presentable with that? Rangers would have run riot over us. Our biggest problem was we didn't have the central defender that had the power, positional sense or football brain to do basic covering job on McCulloch and Ramsden wouldn't have changed that fact (as he'd likely have covered Shiels). Hutchinson smashing Sandaza's head was the worst thing to happen to us that game. McCall gets blamed for fair few things, for example picking Omar Daley week in week out or a slight blame for not finding us a holding midfielder when supposedly given money to spend.

We can keep the score down tommorow if we drop Cummins,Kerr and there's no point in playing Humphrey against Issogeri or whatever his name. Least you don't want to drop Higdon.... Can I ask, why is there no point playing Humphrey against Izaguirre....

100%... The only questionable position he got wrong was where Hateley played and who played instead of Kerr. Neither of which actually cost us the game. The inability of our midfield to read a game and our defence to decide that marking McCulloch isn't needed at a corner or that chasing down balls in the danger areas cost us the game. You cannot honestly say any of those were McCall's tactic or in his "game-plan"
