St Mirren stated if they leave Scotland SPL says there must be 4x Old Firm games a season.... but also said we'll get a 16 team league 2 years after saying it was 10 teams or bust! The clause is acceptable if it is leave Scotland - it is never acceptable if it is outside the SPL

It is the proposal in front of the SFL This Season SPL 12 teams - 1 relegation + 3 promotions Next Season SPL 14 teams - 1 relegation + 3 promotions Followin Season SPL 16 teams... It will not work with a 4 x Old Firm games Clause - a bigger gap will appear between the clubs points wise...

If this clause exists... in 2 years time we're going to be playing either 60 games a season or 42 games a season (2x then split then 2x again) when we move to a 16 team league......

£30 although steep (£10 more than normal) I am happy to pay - but I cannot justify to my wife either days before or after my other son's first birthday spending £15 on 90 minutes of football + travelling costs for me and my son. Nor is there any chance of me getting mates (who do not support Motherwell) to come along to watch, what could be a rubber stamp game for £30 a pop....

That's even more of a reason to SPL Meeting - 4 July 2012 5 (Working?) Days - 9 July/11 July 2012 Leaves Dundee, Airdrie United etc. 2-3 weeks to prepare for a higher league. Absolute joke, when if they just read the Statues then their would be no need for a vote, especially on the premise that the SPL and SDFL have been told by the "powers that be!"
