  1. The only problem with that is - the SPL cannot relegate them to Division 3. The SPL can chuck them out of the SPL - but it would be up to the SFL if they are admitted or not.
  2. So what is different from now then? If a player with even a sniff of talent that is able to do it at very big League 1 side and above will leave quick style now. TV deal or no TV deal (which there would be one anyway).
  3. You need pace to play in the Championship? Since when? Especially at centre midfield!
  4. Agreed. Another point if any club has made their budget dependent on TV revenue despite what happenened to Setanta then they deserve to die a horrible death if for some reason our TV deal goes tits up!
  5. Nowhere does that article say there would be no Sky Deal. Just the one agreed won't be in place. And even then it is only STV "understands"
  6. tottenmfc has hit the nail on where the benefit is (not to mention sponsorship etc money for Rangers). If Rangers choose the 3rd Division, then the SPL they leave behind will be so different from the one they find. Voting rights, commerical agreements, financial split, maybe even league size will be far more in the hands of the other clubs and not the Old Firm. Also Rangers have no right to join the Third Division. Nor do the SPL have a right to force them there. Rangers share in the SPL cannot be automatically moved to the SFL.
  7. How do you stop running behind a player making no contact - other player falling down and you get booked for it without given them clear route to goal? Same with, how do you teach a player to commit a good foul by pulling a player back without getting booked when it is an automatic booking - unless the referee decides it isn't (which should be never) How do you teach players to challenge for a ball in the air when a minute ago carbon copy was done with no foul given but then the one a minute before that was - and so was the one you just did.
  8. I'd be shocked if he goes to Rangers. At this moment of time if he is in contact with other clubs fair play, but to wait and see if Rangers transfer embargo is lifted in time is a bit of a risk - especially if the Championship sides (if there are any) are top end sides.
  9. Some of those numbers look weird. Poor Page, committed 4 fouls and been given 3 Yellow cards (although ESPN only says 2).

See that is where I think Humphrey has began to adapt his game. Before it was all "get the ball to the touchline and cross (badly?) right away". Many time now he actually looks up, kills the ball and then crosses it - sadly - still it seems that he is trying to put it on Higdon's head and no one else (with about 7 defenders to miss at the same time). While lets be honest - the day Motherwell figure out having a player running at the back post at a corner might pay dividence is the season we win the league (as was shown again on Sunday when Stack fluffed an easy claim)
  11. Have you got somewhere I can see these stats? Also are offsides included in these free kicks given away?
  12. I think you've overrated United a bit. Think they'll lose to both sides of the Old Firm and draw with St Johnstone. Also think Rangers and Celtic will win all their matches - with Celtic winning the Old Firm game

Mostly in the box - but then at that time there were about 6 or 7 Hibs defenders. Any ball, which is connectable between the 6 yard line and the penalty spot is a good ball - more often than not a great ball. Because our team do not realise that the strikers need support in the box, especially around the back (even at corners) doesn't mean the crosser has put in a poor ball.
  14. You're right - while you are given out that wisdom maybe you could let Grant Holt of Norwich know your finding too. 2010/11 Most Fouls in the Football League Grant Holt - 107 (nearest person to him had 85) 2009/10 Most Fouls in the Football League Grant Holt - 87 2008/09 Most Fouls in the Football League Grant Holt - 123 I'll give you a guess where Holt is rated this season in the Premier League fouls committed table....

You're right. He didn't have one decent ball in. He had over half a dozen. It is not his fault our midfield cannot arrive into the box if their life depended on it.
  16. Poor starting position from Randolph did not help. I noticed they defended it the same as well - although Randolph was about 5 steps closer to "his" post. Forced O'Connor to go "over and down" with his free-kick the second time (leading to it going over the bar).
  17. Hateley's biggest problem is when he overlaps Humphrey is if we lose the ball you are lucky if he is back in our half when the other side are inside our box. Apart from that I think he's a very decent wing back.

Agreed. Difference between Hutch and Humphrey getting it was Hutch was on top all game, while it took Humph a while to get the better of his man.
  19. No it wasn't really. Aye it was struck well but Randolph should have that covered in his sleep. Dire from back to front. Still think we will win though
  20. Hibs 1-4 Motherwell! Higdon, Ojamaa Law and Lasley with our goals. Griffiths with theirs. Easy!
  21. Hearts are finished in the race for third. Would require Motherwell/United/St Johnstone drawing their games with each other and Hearts winning all theirs. Hearts attentions will turn to the Scottish Cup (talks that a weakened side will be picked this weekend).
  22. So you think it will be luck that sees Hearts not winning all their games and us not losing all our games.
  23. The key being is where these games take place. For example, if we play Celtic first game of next season we'll have no choice but to watch them parade their league trophy and let them raise the flag of champions.
