Which is after next season.... The 2013 entry list sees us with only one CL spot.

Going by the 2010/11 season (all in Euros) - cannot find this seasons! If we enter the 3rd Quals and go out - we'll get 130K If Celtic go out in the 3rd Qual they would get 130K plus 200K Euro - so 430K If we enter the 3rd Quals and qualify for the playoffs we'll get £2.1m If Celtic qualify for the Playoffs they wull also get £2.1m (all clubs in the playoffs get this amount) We would then receive 90K for entering the Europa League Playoff - Then another £90K (I think if reading this right) if knocked out. If we make it to the (Europa) Group Stages then 640K for being there + 60K for every completed match (so £360K) = 1m 140K per win and 90K per draw in the group stages.

I think it is great that at the start of the season we were moaning that we did not have enough players to cover injuries or suspensions. Now we're discussing where our first team players will all fit in. The fact we now have a bench with 3 SPL first team players (not to mention I believe Hollis and Saunders too - so in theory are 5 SPL First Team Players). Granted we're going to lose quality if certain players are missing but many much bigger clubs than us are the same. Anyway, on the Aberdeen front - see SkySports have Aberdeen beating us at Pitodrie earlier on in the season

I wouldn't drop Murphy for him either. I'm not sure despite his pish performance at the weekend, that I would have him in front of Daley either. I just think Humphrey is better to have from off the bench. Not many teams in the SPL - and certainly none at our level can call upon a player of Humphrey's ability from hte bench. Am I the only one that thinks this?

Doesn't really answer my question does it? Although a bit worried goals alone is classed as doing well (especially at Murphy is a winger and McArthur is an (attack-minded) midfielder. What about assists, passes completed, runs made, balls collected, headers won... do they not also count. Saying that, I think Murphy has only turned up once in against the Old Firm and that was when he came on as a sub and got us a 3-3 draw at Ibrox. He was fantastic that game. Facts are doing well against the Old Firm doesn't really matter unless that is one of the days the Scouts were looking in on you.

No facts you need to play well against the Old Firm to get a move to England - were the media making up the fact that Blackpool wanted him? What did Sammon do? Boyd? Fletcher? McArthur? None of them were ever stand outs against the Old Firm

Since when has a winger been judged on the amount of goals he scores alone? And there have been many SPL goalscorers that have failed to hit 25+ goals a season that have gone on to do well in England. No one would argue that Steven Fletcher is probably the best former SPL striker at this moment in time. Yet he had no where near (according to you) a good enough strike rate (3.6279 games per goal scored) and ohis highest ever season total being 13 leagues goals in the SPL - although could see him breaking that this season I think in later life, Murphy will thank McCall for not playing him as a striker. As he isn't one/ As for the thread - If we end third, get Champions League Quals (certain 4 games in Europe_ and at least Semi Finals of the Scottish Cup I will be disappointed if we sell for less than £400K.

I may be mistaken, but haven't United picked up a habit of dropping points the game after Houston is away on international duty? With also CMS away with the Under 21's it could be a tough game, getting anything from Inverness - as Butcher will get them fired up so they won't enter the late relegation battle. As we know, a team for nothing to play for can be easily dragged into it after the split (like us under Malpas where we missed out just on a top six... and ended up just surving)

Anyone who says we have no chance of winning this game doesn't have a clue about football. Going to be tough but I think it will be a right good game where I think we could sneak it - if we don't wait until the second half to turn up - oh and stick to our usual game plan, like it was Dunfermline or Aberdeen we are playing.
