That does seem weird that ALBA are showing a game already being shown live... no?
-
Its a re-hash of other articles. Also did I miss Murphy declaring his love for Rangers?
-
So why did we sign Scott McDonald? A guy so pish that he couldn't get a contract with a club with 13 players... Jutkiewicz had only scored 5 goals in 40 odd performances, and had a major attitude problem and would shirk away before joining us You can't take what they have done for an argument like this without looking at the tactics of the clubs they were playing for, the guys around them, the teams they were playing and how they set-up and many, many more. Looking at wikipedia or soccerbase tells you fuck all about a player. Cause guess what Scouts certainly don't look at their stats and think good/bad.
-
Those stats say nothing of this current side. What Law has done at other clubs, or what Hammell or Lasley did in previous seasons means nothing. It is easy to see that Hammell has now been given permission to go forward (into the box) more often now for example, which will lead to more chances to score. Law has played one game for this current side, means nothing what he did or didn't do at Rotherham.

Not want to defend the referee, but Lasley should have been booked much earier for a professional foul when he pulled back a Caley player on the break. I am also shocked there has been no mention of Higdon's little tussle, which the referee seemed to miss despite being right in front of him.

Supposedly the SUN was the exact same... Someone mentioned to me that 95% on it was how good Murphy is, and that he would do wonders for either half of the Old Firm, the other 5% about the goals...
-
For the team with the most goals conceded in the history of the SPL, that is an phenomenal stat (although only 4 clubs have scored more)...
-
The only praise I could possible give is sitting at the back of the Phil O'Donnell Stand, I could actually make out the songs etc. you were singing, and even at times heard you over the Caley fans. That, I have to bow to
-
Like we were when we lost McFadden, when we lost Pearson, when we lost McDonald. If Murphy leaves, I fully expect between them McHugh and Smith to chip in enough to get us through the season at least.
-
It can be perfectly possible for us to score 50 goals. Saying that in the last 5 years we have only hit 50 plus twice. 2010/11 - 40 - 6th - Brown/McCall 2009/10 - 52 - 5th - Gannon/Brown 2008/09 - 46 - 7th - McGhee 2007/08 - 50 - 3rd - McGhee 2006/07 - 41 - 10th - Malpas
-
15-20 goals from the team outside the strikeforce as we'll be doing well. We're already at 2 after one league game. More than possible - especially with Hammell looking to get into the box more often with a goal, striking the post and a good stop by the keeper in the last two games from him.
-
But is that true? With this current ownership thing in the air and yet to be finalised, a decent amount of money (high six figures/low seven) with some nice added bonuses on top could easily see Weir and Dempster go "thank you very much, please come again"...

Motherwell Fixtures To Phone Calendar - Iphone / Android Now As Well

TBF it's not the SPL or SFL but that other company that actually does the fixtures that will complain isn't it? Sure there is an on-going court battle over it too. -

It's an iCal so I am guessing it won't work on Android or Windows. -
Spot on. Brown's style is first and foremost do not lose. McCall's seems to be to (try) entertain the crowd as well as anything else. Saying that, I hope he has learned there are times where you need to set out not to lose (ala Rangers - no more 5+ against please...)
-
Nope. Totally agree.
-
Said the exact thing to my Brother-in-Law after the Leeds game and still stand by it. And again, I agree with the sponsors decision, but I though everyone played their part. Impressed how comfortable the defence were on the ball - well Hutchy and Craigan, as Hammell and Hateley you expect it. Passing around the back, left, right and centre from both centrehalves today was excellent. Hope to see more of that football
-
Difference is we were not getting him on loan. Give me a signing not as good as a loan possible, that has potential to be good any day of the week. Much rather have Gunning than any player that the premiership can offer us on loan, as we'd be able to develop him. Saying that, wouldn't be in my first team, he is not as good as any of our current defenders. But would be solid to have in if needed.
-
Not wanting to get into a Gannon debate but you add the fact Craigan spraying passes about, left, right and centre on the deck with a pass completion of about 90% it was probably Gannon's top two nightmares in the game. Hammell is top player at this level, and finally has a player, in Law that knows Hammell needs support when he goes forward and when defending. I may be mistaken, but I am certain when Hammell scored his goal, Law was in the left back position. Been a long time since Hammell has that support at the club.
-
Excellent. All three goals were well worked, but makes you wonder why Lasley doesn't try his luck more often... Anyone else notice also that it took till the 89th minute for Craigan to put a hit and hope up the park? The backline all looked very comfortable on and off the ball.

Would give you mine for free but some fucker stole it at half time
-
Funny thing is, all the SPL partners (Sports Interactive, EA Sports, Panini Stickers etc.) have already seen the kit, or at least be shown a mock-up of it, yet we have yet to see it
-
Our away strip is already registered with the SPL

A brain fart that stopped one of "ours" from playing in the European Championships too. Wouldn't be shocked to see him doing BBC Ulster and/or SkySports for Northern Ireland games. Not sure how pundit contracts work at that level. With this retirement I could see him maybe seeing out another year, depending how he and McCall see the defensive position at the club, if not wouldn't rule out a return to Thistle as those lack of 5-6 games plus travelling a season can give you an "extra life". Some nice posts on the matter on "Our Wee Country" (need to register to see them). Discussing how Craigan was Mr Norn Iron, and how they respect him and wish he could carry on, and how they will never lose the legendary status. Also that he was only one of not many Senior Players that could be arsed travelling to Chile.
