Don't agree. Carolos Puyol, Fabio Cannavaro, Ricardo Carvalho (all smaller than 6ft) are three of the best defenders to grace the game in the last 10 years. Winning trophies left, right and centre, including World Cups, European Championships, Champions League, Premiership, Serie A, and La Liga. If you've got a good defensive brain then it doesn't matter if you're tall and built like a brick shit house or you're small/average height. Would rather have a defender with a brain rather than a Gary Kenneth!

There is no UEFA rule per say. Many clubs have used it in European Competition with the Luzhniki Stadium (CSKA Moscow) even been given a 5 star rating. I don't understand why they don't allow them in the SPL, would probably, I guess save clubs a decent amount with maintenance, and the need to no longer have undersoil heating.

I'd say our ability to score was more dodgy than our ability to keep them out. OK we conceded 60 league goals - more than anyone bar Hibs, but we only scored 40 goals - less than anyone above us and ICT. The fact we conceded an astronomical amount against Rangers in the league, against the others we didn't do too badly. Including under Randolph in the league drawing 2-2 over three games with Celtic. It did not help that we had a habit at times of not having due to injury/suspension/resting players the same back 4 every week - hell even the same two centre backs. Randolph will not be easily replaced by the same quality unless another up and comer in England wants to come north for the money we would pay them.

Randy is probably on the top end of what we could ever wish to have play for us in the keepers stakes unless we find the next top keeper in our youth system.. We shouldn't be able to play Celtic away, as Rangers have to be at home the first week to "raise the flag". I am more interested to see what the do for week 2 as Celtic have a friendly scheduled and Dunfermline are in the League Cup first round. Not to mention week three as Rangers and Hibs have a friendly scheduled that weekend. Anyway think we will get Hibs at home, no reason why or why not though.

Tbh not many teams our size have 2 "first" team left backs. Which if we took Smith we would have. Decent player but not what we need at this moment of time. Don't think Smith would be interested if he wasn't a cert to start as main left back, which with us he certainly wouldn't be

Yep, according to a football agent he is on basic £2,750 a week. I am checking he has not got the 2 and 7 the wrong way around but he says nope.
