  1. Both Hibs and St Mirren brought in more players than we did in the summer too. It's has nothing to do with the amount of players you bring in but the quality!

    Semi Final

Bet you'll be at the Final if we get there though....
  3. Isn't the problem also that Hateley believes himself to be a midfielder?
  4. Who? Bradford? You're 'avin a laugh. You'd be rather shocked how on par our finances are with Bradford's. A club that, when McCall took over had a more depleted squad than we do now Of course then there is the fact managers cannot get better after their first job! Lets forget that Davies, McLiesh, Lambert, Butcher to name a few have made a decent career out of management despite being rather woeful in their first job! The fact he's seems to be able to see what is going on on the park and do something about it (seeing Zemamma having too much room and brining Page on to end that) makes me think McCall knows what he's doing and I'm happy as I have said (I think in Ins & Outs) to see what he does in the summer before commenting on his contacts and ability to improve the squad as we're never going to work on this transfer window. If I was John Boyle... I'd have walked away a long time ago though
  5. Do Finland have National Service for those that "gain" nationality?
  6. Would he fall victim to the 2 team rule? Signed for Derby on emergency loan this season so will still be eligible for English clubs but would we not fall foul again if he tried to move country?
  7. Aye but we were a lot closer (points wise) to winning the league in 93/94. Rangers ran away with it in 94/95 and we were best of the rest...
  8. Might not be a monumental feat but it is way more expensive. Materials, workforce (bet our engineers will be paid a lot more than those in Cyprus) and time will cost far too much money for a club like us, unless the (local) Government decide to get on the act (like they do in Cyprus, Spain, Norway, Sweden etc..). Why do people always look to other countries and never take into the fact a) We'll not likely have have government (even local) backing (like many European Clubs) and b) our prices would be double for half of these exact replicas...
  9. Not within our budget of a stadium. If we built that exact stadium with roofs we'd be looking at bankruptcy. £70m? maybe more! Looks a little like Son Moix, which Mallorca have been quoted £15m for a roof on the other side stand alone...
  10. And would not be able to be built over here. Don't we need covered seats or something?
  11. True but it's Rangers we're playing. Many people of other fans at work (mainly Hibs and Hearts since I work in Edinburgh) didn't even know there was a Semi Final on this weekend.
  12. Shhh you naw allowed to say that. Don't you know he's the worst thing to ever happen to Motherwell
  13. It more a war with the FA reading it than FIFA. The FA ignore FIFA's law regarding it when it comes to emergency loans (any loans of 93 days or less) so a player in theory could play for 5, 6, 7 or even more clubs in England. Silly that they can play for more club in their home FA than moving away from their home FA
  14. Think it's to do with... "More likely to win things at Aberdeen" So losing to Aberdeen in a cup final is the ultimate worry for Motherwell fans right now. Although if we were to meet Aberdeen in a final I think our players would be up for it more than normal, because of those few words...

    Semi Final

Agreed. OK they'll be strong favourites but in the end it comes down to 11 guys v 11 guys, they could pound us for 89 minutes and 50 seconds, but for that 10 seconds Craigan could punt the ball up the park and one of their defenders/keeper could get in a mess and the ball could end up in the back of the net. Football, through it's history is full of the favourites being given a bloody nose and losing out to the smaller side.
  16. Of course the Everton would send a guy after they spotted some guy from Spain gave this boy a -9 for potential. The thing is, we have people all over the globe on football forums supporting that club, with a few Aussies, a German and decorator in Cyprus. If one of them started bleeting about a player that would be excellent for Motherwell, and Motherwell could confirm they were indeed a player of some sort, and it was financially feesable (probably more likely at a club with a world scouting network) then hell why not? It is true about football manager scouts going on to work for Scout7 etc... shame I don't have one of the degrees for it though like Sport Science
  17. Everton paid a sweet sum for the first outsider look at the Football Manager database... so it wouldn't shock me. if a club is willing to pay money for average joes scouting work there then why not use forums. Many clubs though don't have scouts as we would know them though.
  18. Am I the only one that sees the giant flaw in the proposed 10/12 league going into a bigger league in the future? It would only work if there was no relegation from this new super-duper league as the teams below will be so far away from professional full time as they've ever been before. The likes of Stirling Albion cannot compete now when Division 1 is a rather backwater poor league, they sure are not going to be able to compete when Division 1 is receiving SPL money!
  19. Has it started running on a Sunday? Last time I checked it terminated at West Calder?
  20. I'm trying to figure out how to get to Shotts on Sunday so I can get my ticket and to the game Might want a seat...
  21. As long as they leave it to Domestic games. Don't want to come up against any casuals if we ever have to play in Prague, Belgrade or Athens. We don't have enough fans as it is!
  22. Mostly agree with everyone here. Another thing I noticed the amount of times he is willing to dig in and also put his head in there was impressive too for such a small guy. Felt sorry for him though as it couldn't have been fun in the first half looking down the line to the Cooper side left corner!
  23. Although I agree tbf May was played out of position for us... but yeah, we've had some shockers!

    Hibernian

Harsh on Saunders mate. He was caught between a rock and a hard place as it was the header/clash with Hateley that led to a hand-ball. Wouldn't put it down as a blunder tbh
  25. Excellent if true as that is what I'm putting in FM
