  1. I doubt this is possible. I would be shocked if BSkyB, ESPN, BBC, ITV, C5 or any other broadcaster have even told the SPL what they would offer for a league that has a choice of 240 games a year! Sadly, I'd be shocked if any of the Yesfor10 Clubs bothered even finding out!
  2. That team would have us at least 20 points away from relegation. Here we go again, lose a player here or there and the world is ending!
  3. Just seems the Clubs that are going with this, including Motherwell don't have the ability to improve the product or to market it! So instead of bother trying they'll just hope the punter who loses money week in, week out to watch sub-standard entertainment, in a sub-standard stadium will continue to do so. It's time these "money" men start earning their fancy dan titles, or at least have the baws to admit they don't have a fucking clue on what their customer base wants... Cuntos the lot of them!
  4. Probably go along the lines of.... I needed a striker, Blackburn had confirmed Nick Blackman was available to us so I offered him a six month loan contract. Everyone, Nick Blackman is not our player, and we knew about his contract with us running out since August - nothing to stop the Management Team or Board tying up his contract before it runs out. Not sure what Brown has done wrong, in fact if it was the other way around I'd be angry at Brown not doing it.
  5. This is another problem for Scottish football. A young player still learning his trade has a chance to go shine in another league, instead of looking to actually better themsevles, they're happy to go down to the Championship/League 1 and earn the cash instead of going abroad and looking at other countries like Italy, Spain, Germany or France. Scots, taking the easy option since day one!
  6. Still don't get it! Are the SPL bigwigs telling us we can only support a top division slightly bigger than Andorra's but smaller than Luxembourg and Wales.... As for wage caps etc, no none of that, if a club goes bust they go bust. It should be up to the clubs to run their business correctly, and if they cannot meet specific promises at the start of every season they are relegated/kicked out of the league, like they've done in Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Slovenia and/or are banned from buying and selling players (like in Macedonia, Albania, Greece, Slovenia, Turkey etc.)
  7. I can't remember a time when the fans of Scottish football were so united in their stance. Fans from Motherwell, Hibs, Hearts, Celtic, Rangers and ICT that I have seen on forums are against it. But we know fuck all, we're just the paying customer
  8. The reasons SPL ten/ten is the one they went for according to the party line is because it is the one that makes most financial sense. Apart from the fact now Dundee United, Hearts and I believe Kilmarnock (all three up shit creek financially) don't see it that way, and think it is a joke and none of the proposals will bring any new competitiveness to the Scottish Game. Heard ICT may not back it either.... If true, then we're saved until the Old Firm can bring some sort of new bribe to the table. Thank fuck for the Jambos, Arabs and Killie....
  9. Scary how then that two of those clubs have said they are unlikely to vote for this new super-duper 10 team league. Such a must financially, two clubs that need money badly are saying no
  10. Strategy groups. TBH I think the best thing for Scottish Football, as has been proven by this, is that when it comes to decisions on the professional game those involved (the clubs and their representatives) should have nothing whatsoever to do with the decisions making. They don't have a clue what the paying customer wants (which shouldn't be hard to find out) and until they can figure out what it is then they shouldn't be allowed to decide anything on our game. Maybe next time they'll get it right, but I won't hold my breath.
  11. More like Hearts and United were the only ones making noises about, and everyone else were told by the Old Firm they better not even whisper a mention of it so it wasn't even discussed.
  12. With no news I was beginning to think I imagined that we were in a League Cup Semi Final at the end of the month. I'll be there.
  13. Guilty than most in theory... I bet you one thing, if we had a bigger league and we played Hamilton at New Year, there would be by far more than 3000 punters at the game. Derby games would be even bigger, and more important than they are now. Even the Old Firm game would be a bigger draw than it is now if it only happened twice a season. It makes me want to cry that those who run our game think this is a good idea. Every single person in charge of an SPL football club should be locked up and never allowed to discuss this sport again. Cunts the lot of them.
  14. Which how can they say playoffs cannot decide League Champions as one team can be about 20 points clear but they can decide top league place - are teams in the SPL2 not going to be more than 20 points by any chance? What a fucking disaster. Last one out turn off the lights and lock the door behind them...
  15. No one has voted for anything yet. That's not till the 17th. The Strategy group though I believe was Celtic, Rangers, Motherwell, Hibernian and St Mirren.
  16. Any sort of protest at Hampden would fall on death ears for a few reasons. The main reason for that is the headquarters of the mongs that have come up with this idea are based at Ibrox, Celtic Park, Fir Park, Easter Road and St Mirren Park - the SPL Board actually were pushing for a larger league for much of the discussions. SPL Big Wigs (Neil Doncaster etc.) are not to blame for this. Mon the Hearts and Dundee United going against the grain and showing the likes of Motherwell and Hibs what it is like to actually listen to fans!
  17. There was also, again 1500 more fans at Dens Park and 600 more at Falkirk Stadium too...
  18. So the "We Love Jim Gannon" Fan Club can stop blaiming Craigan/Lasley/Hammell/Sutton et co. from getting Gannon sacked then? Another myth from the Gannon fan club blown out of the water.
  19. Hard facts like.... To get back in against Celtic you put on a teenage winger instead of John Sutton? You play two teenage central defenders at Ibrox? You pass the ball between your central defenders for a 30 odd passes and call it good football? Of course which it isn't. All it does it puts pressure on your team which is likely to lead to goals being conceded. Barcelona wouldn't dare do it - only a fucking idiot would get Motherwell do it when our game is so much more about pressure on the ball. Those are some of the facts You'd think it was a new thing players running to the chairmen, when it happens in football all over the world, all of the time.
  20. Blackman - Loss of form, and morale more than anything. If Blackburn are happy for him to stay up here for the rest of the season then we'd be daft to not say aye Gow - Flatters to deceive, and can't doubt he has some nice touches but just doesn't seem to be interested. Release, have a few forward players Fitzpatrick - If he's happy to be back-up and this time of his career and is not asking for a kings ransom then it be stupid to bin him. As he's a player that can slot in and do a job Reynolds - won't have a choice. Although at this very moment no where near good enough for where I believe he'll want to be (Championship). Craigan - Would be daft to get rid, especially if we're losing Reynolds too. We don't have one central defender ready to come in, never mind two. Sutton - Would defo sign him up for another 3 years or so - maybe even do what Celtic done to his brother and see what he's like in defence. Remember last season against Rangers he covered every blade of grass to defend...
  21. Sums it up to be honest. Still not a defender within his class in the team. Reynolds can't lead the defence - not to mention has cost us more goals in the last few seasons than Craggs has, and well Hutchinson, although becoming the new pin-up for the man lovers on this site (poor Lasley, must be too old now) has not proven himself at all.
  22. You say all that but think Gannon was a good manager? Gannon's December made Young's look like masterclass in management.... You've just explained in perfect words why it was correct to sack Gannon when we did (Poor Team Selection, No Motivation, No Fight, Worse than Baffling substitutions, inability to change things - although this was slightly not true as he was sure to change it for the worse). Anyway we can put it all to bed. Young is back taking care of what he knows best, and we now have McCall in charge.
  23. Fact of the matter is people would have moaned on here if we did a Benfica (gave Mourinho his first manergerial job) or a Barcelona (give Pepe the job after one year in the 4th tier with the Second Side). For some reason people here can't get through their thick skulls that what goes before means jack shit... look how many managers have been shite at us and went on to make themselves a quality career (McLiesh, Davies etc.) in management - while those that have done well with us have been mostly shite else where (Butcher)
  24. Must have missed last season then. Last December was a lot worse. In fact our best performance that month was under Gordon Young
  25. QFT! Why do we think when we get a freekick around the half way line the best thing to do is place it at head height into the box. It's not like we have a single giant in our team - while Celtic have a fair few mutants.
