The Dutch have confirmed they'll send three referees if asked. Also no win for the SFA if they didn't approach the other FA's then message boards like this would have been slating them for not having a back-up plan.
-
Is our game not on Sunday? If it is Saturday I'm not gonna be happy as I don't have a babysitter for my son so won't be able to go!
-
Surely our game will be on? Since it is a LiveTV game I'm sure ESPN (and if their is any SkySports game) will defo want "their" games to be on?
-
See the Dutch have said they'll ask their referees if they'll be happy to referee the games. All Scandinavian FA referees have rejected the SFA pleas.

It's either 50/50 or 60/40. Sure it is 50/50 though. After match day costs are taken into account of course.

Although he does put Humphrey's name in capitals, that is actually one of the best run down of a player you'll ever read on this forum. Also, I don't think it is fair to puin-point him if he doesn't turn up every game, look at Gareth Bale, probably the best left winger in lets be honest, the world right now... made to look simple and easy to play against by Everton. Happens to the very best too (Messi v Inter; C.Ronaldo v everytime he has played against Puyol in a competative match).

Skin that forum in these colours and you'd think it was the Motherwell Forum circa 3 years ago!

Clyde had to do something. They're probably the worst side in our professional set-up. Two successive relegation, and currently sitting bottom of Division three!

What the fuck is international class? It's Scotland we're talking about, and not one of our players would get into the top nations like Spain, Brazil, Germany, Argentina (those kind of teams that do have international class players) - unless you mean he's not good enough to play international football - which would also be bollocks, as he plays against better teams week in week out than the likes of Andorra, Faroe Islands etc. etc. etc.
-
To be honest rather he was with the National Side than with our Under 21's when Northern Ireland absolutely hump us again! Good luck to the guy if he gets on.
-
I wouldn't mind really if the players that were picked ahead of them were so much better than them, or deserved it more - but sadly they don't. If this was a competitive game I could understand them missing out to our first team, but the fact we've picked players that we know have the ability to do it (Fletcher, Dorrans etc) is a joke. I would not be shocked if half the Premiership players pulled out - and I wouldn't blame them either.

Don't need to fill Fir Park. Just a stand. Best way to do that at Fir Park is to bin two of the stands, sadly the way Fir Park is built that would be the East and Main, which would leave the Stadium void of any rival atmosphere (we'd be in the South, the away fans in the Cooper...)
-
The thing is on Continental Europe when they use flares there is already an intimidating atmosphere! It also looks impressive. Sorry 15-20 kids at Fir Park with a flare... well looks like 15-20 kids with a flare!

It would be a good idea. This is how we have until recently fallen behind England in the Victory Shield. When I was younger (probably still the same now) every club from the top to the district league level whatever had an U16 side.

Craig Brown's Youth History is second to none in Scotland. Took our National Youths to their greatest ever standing. But I forgot, our team is currently filled with 30 somethings from back to front - except that there is only one player over the age of 30 currently on our books. Many of our team is still under 26 years old, which in football terms is still very young! People moaned we were going to sign every old journey man in the game when he was given the job, instead we gave half dozen youth players 3 year contracts, signed all but one player that was out of contract to at least a further year - three in most instances and signed a couple of players (loan or not) all under the age of 30! So in theory, we've signed players that still have in them a 5-10 years or more in the game - yet there is no long term plan? Which Motherwell manager are we comparing him to? As none have signed so many youth players on longer contracts.
-
Every goal he scored was a cracker. Just didn't happen enough. Also, what about his lovely dinked ball to Hamilton for that volley? If Brown can get him to screw the nut on then hell, why not.

5-1 to Motherwell. We'll be 5-0 up in the best first half we've seen this season, then not bother really showing up in the second, where Imrie will score against us. Blackman x3, Sutton and Page to score....
-
Club heroes and what they need to do is different everytime. You can't tell me if one of our players scores the winner in the CIS Cup Semi against Rangers and we go on to win that cup that they won't be a "club" hero. Same with the final goalscorer (or a penalty save from the keeper in a shoot-out) etc won't be club heroes.

Everytime McFadden has broken through, and at times even shown his quality the following week or so he's found himself in the physio room. It hasn't been ability letting him down, just the fact he has been injury prone.
-
Why am I not shocked about that
-
Harsh. Mallorca offered him a rather lucrative deal to stay but he was "home sick". Was only allowed to leave if he signed for Alloa though.
-
There are a hand full or more that can be claimed as "Scottish" in Spain. Most will be playing in the third/fourth tier. Other "big names" include Mark Kerr is in Greece with Tripoli and Michael Stewart is in Turkey.

Aye it does help, but I mean at all ages. I'm sure there are plenty of Serie B (even bigger Serie C) clubs that would take a shopt at lower end SPL/Division 1 players if the players themselves asked their agent to see if there was a possibility of a move. I think Scottish players take the fancy and see the English leagues as an easy way out of Scotland instead of looking further a field. Hell if Jamie Stevenson can sign a contract with Mallorca on the basis of a few tricks and skills on a beach then I'm sure other players could win some sort of deal. I guess, like Jamie Stevenson (where is he now?) though it's getting over home sickness I guess too.

Prefer him to go to Bari than down south to the Championship. More Scots should do it. Not sure why keepers and defenders don't look at somewhere like Italy to improve their game, as some of the best coaches are in Italy.

Not sure why we'd have the Klimpl thing since he was released in the summer
