  1. Guys please PM a Mod or Admin for the password from now on. Less likely to miss a request. Cheers
  2. I tried for about 5 minutes to do it but it won't let me send. I can reply but not send Fixed it. Forgot to add a title everytime...
  3. Don't worry. In the league we have a habit of losing to teams that have not done x, y or z! So it's always a bad omen when someone says the oppenent hasn't done something yet!
  4. Aw for fuck sake! That's not what any Motherwell fan wants to hear
  5. No. All they would have needed to score was 2. 1-0 Motherwell 1st Leg 2-1 AaFK after 2nd leg Would have been 2-2, but AaFK go through due to scoring two away goals
  6. 55mins - OMG! Steven Saunders' attempted chest back to Randolph almost led to diaster. Olsen nipped in but fired over! Jeezo that was close
  7. Sutton and Forbes off McHugh and Humphrey on Guess Sutton is due to the knock he took earlier. Forbes, tactical?
  8. You able to stream it on Justin.TV or something similar?
  9. Time to move it to the discussion thread lads?
  10. Just mentioned that article in the TV thread. Why is there no coverage if BBC Scotland are in Norway though. For them to write an article? Could they not have nicked it off the website instead, wouldn't be the first time!.
  11. The preview doesn't mention any coverage either. It gets worse, according to the site BBC Scotland ARE in Norway... AALESUNDS v MOTHERWELL - Europa League third qualifying round, first leg Venue: Color Line Stadion Date: Thursday, 29 July Kick-off: 1800 BST By Alasdair Lamont BBC Scotland in Norway
  12. If it doesn;t then it'll be live text as none of the usual sites I go on are advertising it
  13. I think the game will rest on how quickly (if we do) we get use to the pitch and it's pace/bounce.
  14. So did Linfield. I don't think it matters who or what each team have done before. It all matters on the night. We'll need to be at our best though, of that I have no doubt.
  15. Got my tickets! PoD Stand Centenary Box Press box and Press Room Eh... are the press totally ignoring this game?
  16. Earmarked for away fans maybe?
  17. Spot on. Sadly a very few fans think this way. Because a player was shite at one club doesn't mean he will be shite for us. Same with if a player done well for another club, doesn't mean he will for us. Motherwell transfers have been full of both. As for Casagolda, if he does sign then I've got to feel sorry for him as the way hammerfist has gone on about him he's the next Raul/Villa and if he doesn't score at least a goal in every game some section of our support are going to have the knifes out right away!
  18. You might find it will be easier to deal with the clubs now from the Premiership than it was last season due to the squad restrictions. It's the same reason why clubs in Spain can have top quality players out on loan to rival clubs and have a full team worth of players out on loan. Granted wages could still be a problem I know Benfica of Portugal (another nation with squad restrictions) had over 15 players out on loan last season (a fair few in the top league)
  19. I thought you would have been able to tell the difference between a commerical sponsor and a joint venture sponsor? If you going like that Barcelona have had a main sponsor since 1987 or something like that when they signed a joint venture with the Catalan Bank.
  20. Sorry, read my edit. The Local Government were/are their sponsor. If they had a more commercial sponsor it would have given the Council more chance to given them a "loan". The local government loan plus a commerical sponsor would have seen them able to pay their players (of course this is all theory, a month later they could have went still went bankrupt).
  21. Real Oviedo went bankrupt in 2003 but were saved basically at the last minute from ceasing to exist. And their current sponsor is eh... their local government - have been since late 2002, early 2003.
  22. There debt to income was a lot higher in the late 90's/early 00's. During their bad times when they won fuck all even their own bank was refusing to give them a loan. The National Catalan Bank are back on their side. Hance why all money made from transfers will be added to the 50m Euro transfer kitty. There are clubs in Spain up more of a shit creek than Barcelona that still refuse to sign sponsorship deals. Clubs have went bankrupt (Real Oviedo) when a shirt sponsor along with City approval (which most clubs have - Real Murcia have been offered a £25m loan from the Murcian local government) would have saved them. Granted none as large as FC Barcelona.
  23. I'd be shocked if the Members will allow Barcelona to have a commerical sponsor on the shirt. Some of the diehard Members didn't want Unicef on the shirt in the first place.
  24. I wish people would stop mentioning where our oppenents ended last season, as that season ended 8-9 months ago FFS!
