  1. Big forwards =/= good in the air/set pieces. Did you not see Zigic at the world cup? Same, you don't need monsters built like a brick shit house/tall defenders to be able to defend against taller players either. milo, aye they created a fair few chances, but if teams went through on chances alone then we would have had the Blik game done and dusted by half-time in the First Leg.
  2. Which they aren't anyway. They're playing on Saturday according to one of their fans on here
  3. Of course they're not. Norwegian football as whole aren't world beaters (Rosenborg struggled past Linfield last night - and last season they were knocked out before us and entered through Fairplay as well) but they'll be better and fitter than Breidablik (and they'll be fitter than us too).
  4. You know their season when they came near the bottom ended practically 9 months ago! In other words practically a whole season ago in our terms. They're currently sitting 5th, over half way through their season!
  5. Been pumped for most of this game, should be 3-0 down but right now we're winning 1-0. Ye fucking dancer!!!
  6. What? It was obvious from the very first kick of the game, Sutton was in the team to win every high ball that got near him, and apart from about 3 - one of which was right at kick-off he did that. It is not his fault, he was told to play Left wing, so any knock down only had one place to go - into the middle of the park. If he was playing as the middle man, with Murphy/Humphries on the wings - it would have been devistating for Breidablik as Randolph's was able to pin point Sutton almost every time I don't care if Humphrey doesn't go past a single man - he doesn't need to if he sorts his cross out. One of the best, if not the best in the business (David Beckham) couldn't beat the average left back when he was in his prime, so I don't care if Humphrey does.
  7. I am a little weary of the Transfer Market site as it says we made over £1m in compensation over O'Brien... I know we would have been due some sort of compensation due to age and the fact we offered him a contract (we did offer a contract) but in no way would we be due over £1m.... surely?
  8. No TV coverage = No feed. Unless BBC or Icelandic TV have had a change of heart there will be no live feed. If this changes no doubt there will be a post on here about it.
  9. Unlike other draws, the Play-off Round takes place the day after the 3rd Qualification SECOND leg. This is where a handful of Champions League rejects jump in. In total there will be 35 winners of the Europa League Third Qualification Round 15 losers of the Third Qualification Round (10 League Champions and 5 Non Champions) Plus the 24 clubs that automatically qualify for this round If all seeded teams go through to the Champions League and Europa League 3rd Qualification the seeded teams for the Europa League Qualification Round will be.... 10. We paid £2K a week for Yassin. This was confirmed in game as a guess between me and the Charlton Researcher then confirmed at the last Charlton AGM. Despite my attempts, wages are not perfect for Motherwell as our club are not the most forthcoming with this info. They are as close to as, without getting confirmation from the club as they can be. There are certain clubs that are correct, of which the top of my head are Dundee United (their club are forward coming), Inter Milan, AC Milan and Everton (the latter three because of their deals with Sports Interactive. Everton also have a deal that they get to see the player database and attributes before any other club. They paid a 6 figure some for that privliage. ** Anyway that is off topic, Ya Bezzer summed up Reynolds in his first line at post, although I wouldn't say he's not good enough to push for an international cap, but getting in front of McManus, Caldwell, Berra and Webster (probably) is another question altogether.
  11. Prize Money (sorry in Euros) * 1st qualifying round: 90.000 € * 2nd qualifying round: 90.000 € * 3rd qualifying round: 90.000 € * Playoffs: 90.000 € * Group stage: 1.000.000 € * Group match victory: 140.000 € * Group match draw: 70.000 € * 1st knock out round: 200.000 € * 2nd knock out round: 300.000 € * Quarter-finals: 400.000 € * Semi-finals: 700.000 € * Final: 2.000.000 € * Winning the final: 1.000.000 € Then you add on the TV market per round, and since the BBC or anyone gave jack shit about the Second Round that is next to nothing (whatever Beeb gave us for radio coverage).
  12. Ross Forbes is the closest we're ever going to get to a Xavi type of player*. How often do you see Xavi sprinting? How often do you see him pouputting in a crunching tackle? What Forbes brings is a player if given the ball can create something from nothing. The question week in, week out is going to be can the players around him see those passes. I know some people on here want our midfielders to be cloggers, who put in the strong "kick up in the air tackles" but I'm quite glad we have a midfielder like Forbes. Someone with a little bit of technical skill - and if we can keep him signing contracts (or at least one more, we will make money out of him). Oh and no point comparing him to Hateley, as I doubt Hateley would be as effective in a more forward role. *In no way am I saying Forbes is as good as Xavi etc.
  13. It tells you on the SPL website how much money you get. Also the SPL tell Football Manager what to do with regards to Financial details as they are a Partner of the game. Still doesn't stop Everton getting first rights to the database though
  14. Rumour has it Darren Lee Smith is about to sign for Ross County. Can't see anything about it though.
  15. The only reason Reynolds should ever sign a new contract is i. If he wants to give us a chance of getting a better transfer fee or ii. He doesn't want to risk leaving on a free which kind of the same as the first.
  16. Myp2p are not advertising it so I doubt it. It would not shock me it not being on TV unless some Icelandic channel picks it up so I doubt they'll be a stream.
  17. 2 bottles of Irn Bru, a Mars Bar, and a couple of Chapman Pies
  18. I think you're going blind mate. Just checked and it says Unless MFC 'Fishal announces it we'll take it as someone taking the pish
  19. TBF to them I think Iceland and the Icelandic people were hit as hard, if not harder than anyone else in the world when the World Banks went tits up. Didn't like half of their financial institutions go into total melt down. Add to the fact their Supporters Charter transport collapsed due to not many people taking it up, getting flights to Glasgow/Prestwick from Iceland would be very expensive in this climate. On another note, anyone know the reason why the Wigan Athletic Youth Team took in the game? Are our Under 19's due to play them?
  20. So it was the perfect in-swinging cross then. A defence/keepers nightmare. Everytime Craigan or Reynolds stepped out of defence with the ball, no matter how far up the park they went we always had two centre backs - that was because of the covering by Jennings. He was told to keep the defence solid when need be, and he did that very well. He held the midfield together, and he also calmed things down when needed.
  21. Drawing Kalmar or Dacia and Dacia winning at home (and us not fucking up in Iceland) would be a dream come true if we want to reach the playoffs. I would bet all of those teams but Dacia are more technically gifted than us. Saying that, on our day we could beat any of them. Could we do it over two legs though?
  22. The only problem about him cutting inside is he doesn't have a left foot. A Right foot winger, cutting inside from the right side is useless unless he plays left wing (works well for Spain when they play Villa there
  23. Correct. Watch live HERE (click the button that says watch live )
