  1. Spot on. We're still in the driving seat - hence why I'm not too disheartened. FFS we're so close to getting European Football for the third season in a row - for the first time ever.
  2. Aye they were but they were not much better in the 2-1 defeat which Fraser was blamed for. The first was Ruddy fault for being so flat footed, the second came along his six yard box which some people last week were saying Ruddy would have collected because he is much more commanding. The ball the swung back in - with Ruddy just diving in midair or coming for the cross ball - not sure which - I don't even think he knows.
  3. First and Second goal on here have been blamed on the defence - if it was Fraser in goal - and they were the exact same I think the Fraser Get Tae Fuck thread would be making a come back... Plus Fraser only conceded two.... Woeful all in all. We couldn't pass the ball to the nearest man at times. I don't get to downhearted when we lose at Celtic Park (or Ibrox) but performances like that cannie half make you pissed off.
  4. Naw even including Ruddy. The one that his the post he left because he thought was going wide and by his reaction by a fair bit. Then lobbed from McGeady while McGeady was at the edge of his box, and Ruddy was planted. Caught rather flat footed saldy.
  5. Beat Hibs on Wednesday and there will be nothing to worry about as 4th would be confirmed.
  6. Lets not count our chickens yet guys! Saying that maybe Buzz remembered who his boyhood club was....
  7. If true, then yeah - too much for us, but by listening to him speak all he wants to do is play first team football - hence rejecting Rangers offer of a contract
  8. Probably could afford him, but I don't think at this time he is as good as Hammell. Hammell has been having a good season, and with him just penning a new contract I doubt another left back that rejected Rangers new contract because he wants first team football will on our radar I would not be shocked if he signs for another SPL side though.

To be honest I don't care how a player plays for another team. Look at Scott McDonald he wasn't good enough to win a contract with Wimbledon when they only had like 14 full time players - he didn't turn out too bad.
  10. Aye in the paper today. Rejected Hearts, Hibs, Aberdeen, St Johnstone and us supposedly.
  11. Last time it was Setanta Ireland (0-0 game - with some commentator creaming himself over the fact our team was so young, and with every sub getting younger )
  12. MyP2P.eu As for the result - 2-1 Motherwell. Reynolds and Sutton for us. Someone who's name isn't Keane for Celtic.
  13. Yep. That is the Juke's nickname at Everton - with players and fans supposedly.
  14. Hopefully next Wednesday when we clinch Europe in front of a bumper home crowd. I would love it if we get something against Celtic and Hibs lose to Hearts meaning it will be be all or end all for the both of us. Other than that, 8-1 against Flamurtari, mainly because just the way we went about our business - a little upset we didn't get the Scottish Record win in Europe but Europa League's single tie will do for now.
  15. Is it just me that have fond memories of him scoring some important goals for us? OK he didn't score many or that but they all seemed to be important, especially in McGhee's first season* *waits for someone to tell me he only scored the one - against Aberdeen (although that was very important).
  16. Haven't most people on here said we need to sign a full time right back? So why when we bring players on trial that are right backs would that mean we are losing someone? The 5 players that I can remember playing right back in the last couple of seasons that are still here (Lasley, Hateley, Humphrey, O'Brien and Saunders) all have a preferred position that is not right back. So good on In otherwords Broon and Knox for looking for a right back!
  17. Last time we went into a UEFA Cup/Europa League, winner takes all clash and slashed prices we won... Aberdeen under McGhee, Also I bet the record is better than that since we haven't lost to Rangers at home for a while
  18. Yep - imagine what this place would have been like when McFadden left at the very start of September and Pearson left in the January of the same season. People must have been writing the Club's Eulogy.
  19. O'Brien will be a loss as he's a first team player, just like any first team player as they will need to be replaced. Saying that we have lost better, and probably more important players over the course of our history and survived. And will do so again. If he leaves good luck to him. If he doesn't great!
  20. Sounds all good - except Hummel. Didn't Hearts refused to pay up Hummel's contract because the quality of their shirts were shit (well it was the excuse they used).
  21. So you agree with my first paragraph then? I also don't remember us surviving with only two games to go - which would have been a morale booster. Nor do I remember many fans or the pathetic empty season tickets being thrown onto the pitch at the end of last season like we got at the end of the Malpas season. Hence why Morale would have been higher at the start of the season (Europe and all to look forward to) - well at least until about end of October/beginning of November that is
  22. Agreed it was a peach. Sadly for us, he only shows that form almost every game when he is wearing the Scotland shirt. I tell ye, if he showed even half his form at Motherwell than he does for Scotland we have a real star (again) on our books.
  23. I would say McGhee's was stronger because the key players in all positions were basically Motherwell players. Yeah we still had loanees come in (Lappin for example) but the likes of McCormack, Porter, Clarkson, Quinn, Craigan, Paterson/Hammell, Smith etc were Motherwell players - owned totally by MFC - many of which were there for longer than a year. Saying that going by previous season, I would say McGhee also had the harder challenge due to morale being lower due to an awful season under Malpas (fans and players a like felt it no doubt). Although if the rumours are true - even half, morale must have been at a very low ebb when Brown came in.
  24. So basically it's up to MFC to sign a deal with NLC and then some Motherwell fan to win the Euro Millions to find a stadium that would be worth it. Although, I still think the atmosphere will be shit. The atmosphere at Livi/St Mirren/St Johnstone/Airdrie United etc. etc. has nothing to do with the Barr Construction and how it is built. Atmosphere is all down to the fans - and well Scottish football clubs fans just don't cut it.
  25. Never expected relegation tbh as I always thought Falkirk, St Mirren, Kilmarnock and Accies were worse than us. Never thought we would have such a good run under Gannon and Brown though. I thought it would be more choppy that it has been under both managers (results wise) rather than good run followed by bad, followed by very good followed by bad. Amazing to see though I think this is the first season ever in the SPL Dundee United have ended in the top 4.
