Forbes v St Johnstone for me, but very special mention to Forbes v Steaua due to the occasion.
-
Surely Boyle would have "re-budgeted" knowing we were top six rather than budget top six? Anyway, as for lying down to Celtic... no. Although if Celtic beat United then we could be seeing a rather changed Celtic team as they have the Old Firm game, which Lennon will see as a must win if he wants to take the Celtic job, just a couple of days later.

Goal! 2-0! Own goal or Sutton?
-
Get in! 1-0 Saunders?
-
You slag of Knox's link due to his trips but accept the only reason Gannon knew about anyone was because of his links down south. How is that different?
-
Updated to include him and Dairylea...
-
tbf it is being discussed somewhere else, although not easy to find. The best thing would have been to post links to said threads. No? Or carry on with this thread. No? For reference sake... Here is the main one mate.

Not my starting XI as I don't think it will be as cut and dry as that, but this is my pool of players from what we have/need GK Fraser A.N. Other Defence Craigan Hammell Page Saunders Hutchinson A.N. Other Midfield Lasley Jennings Coke Hateley Forbes Humphrey Fitzpatrick D.L. Smith A.N. Other/O'Brien Strikeforce Murphy McHugh Sutton Archdeacon Smith A.N. Other That tbh is not a bad squad for next season, even if we don't get in all the A.N. Others in.
-
Very true, but like Wigan and Hull City before them have a great chance of making better inroads into the English leagues. League 1 has some very large clubs currently playing there so being midtable is not too shabby tbh. You think, Norwich, Leeds, Charlton, and Southampton have the right to call themselves big club
-
Nah, but if you wanted to know what I looked like you could just ask tbh
-
Milton Keynes is just the English Livingston. If true, no chance we'll be able to match the wages. I doubt we could match MK Dons' reserve/youth wages either.
-
Not to put words in MFC's mouth but I guess the him or Hateley bit covers that
-
And MFC wasn't saying Forbes and Hateley in the middle together. It is Jennings plus one, so MFC (I think) meant if Crags is out the Hateley plays right back and Forbes is in the middle. If Crags is in then it is either or Forbes/Hateley with Jennings.
-
Hateley? If Crags is out, the midfield will be Jennings + Forbes. With Crags in then it is Jennings + Forbes/Hateley

Anyone think SPL should bring the ability for A-Z Trialists to play in the SPL? Allow it in the Scottish Football Leagues and gives clubs a proper look at players. Even if we could only hire a certain amount during the season or they could only play a max set of games. I wouldn't think bounce games show enough

Hermistan Park & Ride - just on the A71 before you hit the Bypass. Get the bus from there. Wouldn't even bother trying to park in the city.

Your brother was coached? So was I and am currently training to be a goalkeeper coach myself... so how does it, please tell give you good knowledge? Of course Ruddy is a better keeper. But I bet if he hadn't saved that penalty against Steaua, after the St Johnstone game (first game of the season) we would have this exact thread, but with Ruddy's name here instead
-
Where have I said he should be number one? I didn't think we should have signed Fraser when we did. I don't think he should be number 1. But he's isn't how some have put here shite! If he was he wouldn't be playing professional football in Scotland. You know what you're talking about? So are you 1. Stevie Woods, 2. Steve Banks 3. Jim Stewart 4. A.N Other respected goalkeeper coach in Scotland?
-
Ruddy has made one mistake? Poor punch out leads to St Johnstone goal - first game of season Ruddy comes charging out of the box, misses ball, man and swipes fresh air - first game of the season Hibernian Free-kick which he punches into his own net at Fir Park Flaps at cross against Rangers - not punished He made 4 mistakes alone in the last Accies game at New Douglas Park. The first two in the first 5 minutes, coming for crosses that he had no chance of getting, missing ball and man. etc. etc. etc. etc. Ruddy has made countless mistakes, but one thing he has in his pocket is his ability to make up for mistakes - the speed that he can react to a situation (like one of his mistakes at New Douglas Park). If we are to sign a keeper that won't make mistakes then I guess we'll not be signing any keeper. I don't know how much football you have seen this season, but I'm sure with Arsenal, Real Madrid, Manchester United, Inter Milan and many, many more all looking for the keeper that makes no mistakes we'll be able to find one no bother
-
Not true. But hey ho, I forgot how easy it is to be a keeper - nothing to do with Josh Thompson winning a header in a packed box without getting off the ground. Maybe Fraser should start man marking players too. And if Fraser was in goal when Ruddy decided to be Messi against Dundee United a couple of weeks ago we would have won that game too - prove me wrong
-
It wasn't rubbish - very good in fact, although the only reason Ruddy had to make a triple save was due to poor goalkeeping by knocking it back out into the middle of the goals. Please god, don't tell me Boruc's against Hibs is in. The only reason that save was as good as it was, was because once again, not for the first time or last (this season - never mind the last few) Boruc's positioning was absolutely shocking.
-
If anyone blames Fraser for losing to Celtic then I'll worry about them. Our strikeforce's inability to score was our problem against Celtic that coupled with our centre backs inability to jump more than an inch off the ground. Nothing to do with Fraser. Fraser stopped us getting a hammering against Celtic, and made the Falkirk game look "respectable". But hey, ho - lets not let facts get away from the witch hunt.
-
2 games? What two games?
-
Aye, but I thought we wouldn't lose 3-0 with Ruddy in goal, against ten men... but then again - I didn't expect Ruddy to get an assist in that match
-
Anyone that thinks those goals were all down to Fraser and his ability or lack of are either never a goalkeeper or in case of the second a footballer, as any man and his dog should know the pass back was awful and the control that followed the return from Fraser was beyond terrible and totally the wrong decision by Reynolds. Granted the overall perfomance from Fraser was awful, but the goals were only partially his fault and could have happened to anyone.
