  1. The thing is Rangers have proved over the last three weeks that there isn't a good side out side top one and I expect them to prove this point next week too in the Old Firm game. Rangers could, if they carry on this form run away with the league. The pretenders were put in their place in their own backyard without much of a problem, and we all seen what happened at Ibrox when we went there. Yeah Celtic and Hibs are better than us, but I really don't see where the love fest for United has come from. We have played them twice and they really haven't shown this great side that they are against us. As for the rest, they are certainly no better than us, and I don't believe Falkirk, Kilmarnock, St Mirren and Hamilton have the ability to all end above us
  2. According to Craig Brown there is no set amount of games. Boyle is in Australia at the moment. So it could be longer, it could be shorter. I guess it depends how the next few games go.
  3. Became a living legend for his homeland!
  4. As it's official now, no it's not a dream team, but this could be what Walter Smith/Ally McCoist was to Rangers. A pair that could steady the ship and get us going forward again. Although if he does well I hope he'll be given maybe a 2-3 year contract.
  5. As of about 15 minutes ago Craig Brown has been named interim manager (Breaking news on SkySports News).
  6. Tbf Jay, I think most of the fans, after reading and looking into it are thinking the same way as you. Even those who backed Gannon in what he was trying to do on the pitch. Anyone who thinks that Boyle was wrong to sack him when Gannon was obviously failing to be a manager at Motherwell I worry for. It seems that he would refuse to talk to players - despite saying the opposite in the press, he seems to have failed to speak to Boyle, he has seemed to have refused to speak to agents - which is even more worrying that the two before and to top it of, has been applying for other jobs before speaking to Boyle or asking his permission. Onwards we go.
  7. Aye it's because he's a travel "tycoon"
  8. Surely he'll have it in his contract as an option if it works well?
  9. Are you even old enough to remember the last time Brown had a managerial job, never mind when he was Scotland manager? Guess it depends which bird he's shagging! Good appointment, and fast and decisive from Boyle and the board.
  10. Aye, I can see it now. Funchal, Maderia - 22 degrees High, and 17 degree low Motherwell, Scotland - 1 degree high, and -7 degrees low
  11. Erm aye, as we would likely be safe before the split = good season. Also good of you to quote the whole statement
  12. You asked if he knew what he was doing. If he doesn't then thank god 6 other managers don't! We're currently 6th when most people expected us to be relegated at the start of the season. That either shows our fans are more hypocritical than most or worse - just idiotic. I don't care what our temporary form is, I care what our seasonal form is and well currently it's the 6th best in the league, and that is only because we've conceded more goal than Hearts. By the end of the season I will bet now we'll be at least 15 - 20 points clear of whoever is relegated. And if that happens it's a fantastic season, even if we come 11th.
  13. You're right. But your stats suck. As according to the league table we're the 6th best team in the league...
  14. You have 4 players from this seasons team in your squad! Same team but with Partridge instead of Reynolds in starting XI.
  15. No that was Ruddy's fault. Ruddy should have had that ball in his hands before Miller got anywhere near it.
  16. Actually you could find that Motherwell could easily pay £250K for a player. Just up to Boyle if he wants too. Doubt he does though.
  17. Ye Old bastards are probably right but don't tar us all with the spoiled brush. Many of us who have only seen Motherwell in the top league would still travel home and away (when they could) to watch Motherwell play, be it against an SPL club or an SFL Club - in fact I would probably get to more games due to finances Saying that, going by the Malpas season our gates would be around 2000 - at the most - with the amount of "OMFG, this is shit, I'm never going back, never buying a season ticket again!!!11111oneoneoneone" posts that appeared on here
  18. tbh that's good. For so long now the talk on this site has been "no better time to play Rangers now" just for us have our arses handed to us on a plate. Maybe because they are so confident it's a good thing for us.... Saying that 2-1 Rangers - the Duke for us and both goals by Boyd for them
  19. Basically this. Gannon is now doing what these players should have learned when they were kids. You know what kids in most other countries learn when they're 10-13 years old As for his comments after the Celtic game. He was spot on, why the hell did the media want Gannon to talk about the referees after a relatively decent game of football.
  20. Could work the other way. Due to Gannon's words he could take a second guess at anything, and something he would normally give right away he may not - i.e. a penalty against us
  21. Wouldn't sell him for £20K. We'll be due a small fee in the summer due to his age (not 23 till September). Although Celtic, Dunfermline and Dundee United will be due some of that too. Although they would be due some of the £20K as well I believe.
  22. So it is acceptable for a world class wide defender (according to you) to not be able to cross for the life of himself, but it is shocking that a Motherwell wide defender can't... MFC, is spot on by the way.
  23. Anyone that see's Gannon's reaction when we went 2-1 up and has the audacity to claim he didn't want to beat his "childhood heroes" (anyone got proof of that, or the fact he's Irish makes him a Celtic fan?) is either an idiot or on a major fishing trip
