  1. It's as likely to be an easy victory as it is a downright awful 1-0. If we're going to be near 3rd we need to win these sort of games and we will win this one, 3-1.
  2. International weeks can work the same as euro weeks with players not quite at it when they come back but even so i can't see us getting anything. They need the win and they'll get it. 3-1
  3. The police have their wee cameras so they can spot people and deal with them later.Just because they don't arrest anyone during the game doesn't mean they won't after it.
  4. We'll see. In fact i'm that confident that i'd be willing to bet Higdon won't score more spl goals than Sutton.
  5. Well i agree with the OP. When he first signed i said he'd be pish for us and was met by a chorus of 'yer talking shite' replies and i haven't seen anything to suggest otherwise.Imo his first touch is shit, he's a lazy fucker who keeps fouling or getting caught offside and his hold up play is nowhere near as good as Sutton was.Of course he'll win a few headers and score a few goals since he's our main forward but come the end of the season Sutton will have a far better record and Higdon won't be seen as a success.
  6. Nope but there was nothing to show, it hit his chest.
  7. 'Cause most of our recent managers and players support Rangers maybe.
  8. Our main problem today was our wide backs were playing far too high and giving them easy chances to get balls in behind. Not McCall's best decision and ever more pissed off that he didn't do anything about it in the 2nd half.We passed the ball well but with Higdon up front we were never going to score.Hoped i'd be pleasantly surprised by Higdon but as i thought when we signed him he's shite and Humphrey wasn't far behind. He's 1 of the quickest players around but he's just so ineffective against anyone.Hately and Law were the only positives today.
  9. We need to get in about Naismith and Davis to have any chance. They have been the key players the last few times we've played them.Goian and Bocanegra are quite slow and Murphy should cause them probs if we get the ball to him.
  10. Obviously not good losing a player long term at any point but if we have to then now is the time to do it when we can bring somebody in.Don't think it's a 'disaster' for the club as a few have said, we have a small squad but let's be honest there are a few players who would've been a much bigger loss.We can cope with his loss more than Murphy, Randolph etc.
  11. I like the way we're trying to play and have no complaints about it so far but one thing i would say about 'passing' teams is that they can become very predictable and easy to defend against. It's fine passing it about in your own half but there should be a point to the passing, if there's a chance to go forward with a longer ball then take it.We played this way very well under McGhee but there's a few teams who it just hasn't worked for(Hamilton, Falkirk).
  12. The atts at these early round lc games are usually very low, we'll do well to take 300/400 imo.
  13. If there ever was a chance to change it then fans opinions who sit in that stand would need to be considered and unless almost everyone agreed then it wouldn't happen and it would cost the club more than just ripping out seats etc, how much did they pay to upgrade to an all seater?! Also it would be better having the cooper for standing, the idea of the east with has only 1 entrance/exit being packed with people standing would have the police/stewards shitting it so that won't happen unless the stand was changed quite a bit.
  14. Humphrey looked as though he didn't have much confidence when running at somebody and left the ball behind quite a few times. He's the quickest player in the spl, he should be off making a run whenever we get the ball on that side but he comes short or goes backwards far too often.Law looked decent again but he looks to try and do too much, a few times today and last week he tried to take on far too much and gave it away. That can be dealt with though and he looks very promising.Agree that Murphy was quiet and Hately was pish.
  15. Everybody likes games having a good atmosphere but the problems is that away from the singing section there's no real concentrated section of guys to get it going and if anybody does try to join in they just look like a tit.For me i go to the pod 'cause i prefer the view and i live at that side so it's more convenient.
  16. The main problem with ripping seats out is that most teams will lose a fair bit of £ that they paid to upgrade to an all seater.Agree though that it would create a better atmosphere and the standing area would be cheaper which i'm sure would get plenty of people in it.Can't see it happening any time soon.
  17. Not for a lot of people it isn't, in fact i'd say the vast majority can be arsed with that.I like games with a good atmosphere and when i went to the east i'd join in but i'm not gonnae stand up and start singing myself in the middle of the pod and i'm sure that's how most away from the 'singing' section feel.
  18. My bb wasn't zooming so not the best view.
  19. Tbh i think these 'ultra' sections really only work if you're allowed to stand. Also think 1 of the probs with that section is that nothing really takes off, better having a singing section in the middle of a stand or behind 1 of the goals where folk are closer and more likely to join in. Hopefully you can get a few things going this season and get a decent atmosphere. Will take a few pics from the pod.
  20. Who's he going to replace? Naismith, Lafferty? He'd be a squad player at Rangers imo and he's too light weight for the championship. If he leaves his best move would be abroad.
  21. Thought we played pretty well today, tbh i was surprised at how sharp Leeds were considering they're 2 weeks behind us.Murphy was our best player by a mile and if there were scouts watching him unfortunately they would've been impressed.Law was good early on but fell away a bit and Humphrey was his usual, came into the game more late on and caused some problems but very inconsistent. If we play like that next week we'll win easy.
  22. Can't argue with that, could be doing with another forward or 2 but that looks decent enough.Tbh i'm quite surprised we've managed to keep Murphy, Randolph etc.Thought there would be a bit of rebuilding this summer.
  23. I think he had a pretty good record from the spot with them, imo it makes more sense to let forwards take pens anyway so i'd go with Higdon.
  24. 1./ £10m 2./£1m 3./ Nothing, i'd have better things to do than get seriously involved in the running of thing's. 4./ £25m, new stadium.
