Fair enough he has a connection to Partick but it would surely have made more sense to get a game against a higher profile team where there would actually be some interest in it.Aberdeen have Villareal for Mackie's test and we have Partick. Also seems like a very last minute thing when it's being announced less than 3 weeks before the game.

A lot of spl players will have their heads turned when they hear Rangers are in for them and as soon as they say they're interested it puts the buying team in a much stronger position.Expect that's what they're thinking with Wallace and Goodwillie, they'll not expect the first bid to be a success right away.

My argument is that we'd be in trouble if we didn't sign anyone else the same as a number of other teams would but as you said i'm sure we will sign a few more.

Our squad isn't strong enough.We're in a better position than some teams (Killie) at the moment but if we went in with the squad we have just now then 2/3 injuries and we're fucked.The rest of the teams will likely add a few players and if we don't and go in with the squad we have just now then i think we'll be bottom 3.

I would have him above Bannan at this stage and Fletcher would play if he was fit and if he's good enough for an epl team then surely he's good enough for us. Always find it amusing when folk on messageboards think they know better than pro' managers.4 different managers have rated him highly enough to play regularly for better teams than us while Lasley has never been a success at any higher level.

If he's that pish then why have 2 celtic and 2 Scotland managers played him regularly and why has he attracted interest from decent epl teams? Seriously take the c&a specs off for a second.

I was basing my predictions on where i think teams will be when the season starts.If we went in with the team we have just now then relegation would be a serious possibility.

You 2 are having a laugh surely?! Fair enough Brown is a tit and he is imo over rated but he's a £5m player who's played and scored in big games.As much as i prefer Lasley as a person there's no way i wouldn't swap him for Brown and i don't doubt Mccall would say the same.

They probably took more fans to away games than we took to home games. That's a decent price, probably be going now.

Always thought it was a good idea tbh.it works in russia so why not here?! Only problem is that it does take sliding tackles out of the game and can slow the pace of games a bit but it's certainly worth a try in the spl.

Who would you support if it was well-liverpool in europe? Don't see anything wrong with looking out for certain teams results or liking to see them doing well but imo you can only really support 1 team.i watch most live games in the spl, epl and quite a few euro games and almost every game i will be edging towards 1 team either for betting reasons, they have ex well or scottish players or for whatever reason i don't like the other team or manager but i wouldn't say i have a second team or any other team that i follow with any real interest.for me you can really only support 1 team.

I doubt it even if prices are reduced.When we played Everton a few years ago there was under 6000 and about half of them were away fans, would expect something similar for this game.

Agreed,especially Sunderland.Killie and Rangers looked quite fit but the rest looked well short. Without Coyle i thought we'd be making up the numbers but they did quite well, Rangers always looked like winning it.

Mind Hiddink applied for the Well job and was told they were looking for a manager with experience in British leagues.

+1 He missed 4 or 5 sitters in important games and is over rated pish imo.

Falkirk and Accies played better football than Hibs or Aberdeen have recently and hearts tend to be a dirty hard tackling team at times as well so i completely disagree with that point. As for Higdon signing i'm not confident that he can do it for us.He's had a couple of decent years at St mirren but his overall record for a forward isn't great and any time i've seen him his 1st touch tends to be awful.Imo they've got a better player in Thompson and we had a better player in Sutton.He'll score goals but i'd be very surprised if he scores as many as this season.I'll hold my hands up and admit i was talking pish if he does well but he's not a player i'd have went for.

McGhee then Butcher by a distance.

He's more highly thought of than he should be because of the goal against Hibs.He's a decent player but sutton is a better target man and was more consistent imo.

jutkiewicz-no, clarkson-no, porter-yes.mccormack was better imo so 2 in the last 5 years who i'd have had ahead of him.
