  1. good that we get to use it this season. good draw imo, could be a decent game with a reasonable chance.imo depends how the 1st league game goes cause rarely in these double headers does 1 team win both.
  2. thought he'd signed for swindon?
  3. I am an attention seeking whore.
  4. if it comes down to a relegation scrap then win at all costs but if we're a mid table side which we are then i'd rather see good football even if the results don't always follow. as for the rest i'd put it down to being tired after midweek (hopefully).players now are fitter and stronger as they don't eat as much shite/smoke etc but that doesnae always make for a better quality game.
  5. it's not about being wrong, it's about playing the % and if refs don't do anything about it then we'd be missing out if we didn't do it.
  6. maybe it's time we used the rules to our advantage, if other teams get away with it then why don't we use similar tactics?
  7. that has to be 1 of our worst attacking performances in recent years, 2 half chances in 90 mins against any team is pretty dire.both teams looked tired but the level of passing was poor and humphrey didnae get a look in against the honduran guy.imo it's just as well they had been playing midweek because if they'd been sharper and more at it we could've been hammered.we'll need to do better if we're gonnae be in the top half and the break has come at a good time.
  8. i agree with that and i'd say having OF fans in the pod actually reduces the home crowd, i expect stats will show this.tbh it seems a bit pointless when they can't fill the away stand, last few games certainly against celtic have had a good 1000 or so empty seats in the away end.
  9. it works well in germany with most teams having a standing area usually behing the goals at 1 end.
  10. they might be shite but they're still along way ahead of us and have better attacking options, expect an entertaining game with a 3-1 defeat. would play a 4.5.1 with murphy just behind blackman and drop him back to the left if we're under pressure. oh and that avatar and sig are rather depressing now.
  11. that's how i got over tae the pod, used to sit in the east but moved round to leven street so easier just going to this side. oh and there's no way folk in the pod are any more negative than the rest, any time somebody has a slack pass you get 'that's fucking shyte' or something similar being shouted from anywhere and imo if we are playing poorly then the fans have every right to let the players know about it.folk pay to get in and the least we can expect is the team to perform at a reasonable standard.nothing to do with last night as i thought we tried our best and played ok but just at games in general.
  12. completely agree, tbh i've always thought that must be against some sort of competition rule because it's clearly giving teams an unfair advantage.the seeding shyte just makes the euro comps more predictable and the later stages become increasingly boring with the same teams every year.if they want just the top teams then stick them in a seperate league and give the smaller teams a chance.
  13. on another note what is Ricky Sbragia(sp) doing now?thought he might be checking somebody out as a scout or something?
  14. bawz, i was about 3 rows back and never heard anything like that, you're too used tae sitting wae the nutters in the corner.
  15. that was fucking really irritating, some guy in the back row kept telling folk to sit down every time there was a chance and eventually got told where to go by the guy next to me.
  16. the thing with humphrey is nobody can keep up with him, how many times has he went on a 30 yard run and put in a decent cross but nobody is in the area yet?
  17. i usually agree with your posts but that is absolute pish.how does it make me less of a supporter if i'd rather sit fairly quietly and pay attention to the match rather than jump about and sing myself hoarse?people support the team how they see fit and it's not as if it makes a difference, from the last few seasons the better the atmosphere for these big games the poorer we perform.if i pay £20-£22 to get in then it's up to me how i want to show support for the team and it's utter shite saying folk like that are less of a fan because they don't shout and sing throughout the game.
  18. we seem to miss rather too many important pens (rangers, hibs, today)
  19. it doesnae make him shite that he missed a chance, it makes him shite that he reapeatedly missed.tbf he got into good areas and looked a threat although not the best end product.
  20. nothing wrong with hoping for that but it won't happen.we are a small club in an area dominated by OF fans and that will always be the case.a lot of people at tonights game will have no interest in going to your average league game and just turned up for the occasion.
  21. nope, i'm not complaining about it, just wish some folk would come back for the diddy games.
  22. agree with that, mind something similar from a group in the pod against nancy.plenty of OF fans just turn up to watch a game and support a scottish side in europe and there's always going to be a fair few who really don't have much interest in footie but just turn up for the occasion.
  23. was he the guy wae the viking hat? tbh the atmosphere seemed ok to me but it's always harder to get it going in the pod with the amount of officials, guests, comp etc.
