    Levante Cd

now you're talking. I was just goin' to the bottom of the page to type the same. hunners o' mod choons, sprinkling o' talc on the flair & I'll be happy!
  2. 5 of us sorted eventually. Edinburgh to Barcelona wednesday. overnight in apartment in Barca near the station & then 9am train to Valencia arriving about 3 hours later. Overnight in Valencia in some 4* apartment wi' jacuzzi & rooftop terrace bar (digs around £25 each in both cities). train to Barca next day & fly back to Edinburgh later that night. flights £215 return & train down & back for £55 approx. Any idea of ticket costs for the away game yet?
  3. great post. far too easy to look for a fall guy in our team. he wisnae a superstar but really who was?the team played pretty well over two legs against a side with massive resources compared to ours. lets get real here. absolutely no shame in losing to that mob. decent draw in the EL & this can be a good learning curve for us. will be tough for Motherwell on saturday after knocking their pan in tonight but lets just get behind them for getting us somewhere we never thought possible & giving it a right good go.
  4. thanks weeyin. Couldnae cope with another hour & a half wi' Chick Young & aw they other fuds on that open all mics gash. Demented trying to find it on that BBC website.

    Away Leg

remember him at Parkhead back in the day. we're travelling along in the Dalziel bus getting dogs abuse fae the locals, peering out the windae we spot this boy stoating along London Rd wi' an England cricket top & a huge Union Jack round his askit pooders wi' Leyton Orient emblazoned across it headin' towards the away end. how he made it in & out of there alive is a mystery. he must be cab-drivin' ninja..............

    Robert Jarvie

Gutted to hear about the big man this morning. Some of the best times of my life following the 'Well were shared with Jaffa & the rest of the troops on the Dalziel bus throughout the 90's as well as some amazing nights at the SLF gigs at the Barra's. The trip to Dortmund was something that will live forever in my memory too. Can only repeat what's already been said previously. RIP big man. You'll be sorely missed.
  10. he looked in fine mood posing for photo's & signing autographs in the Cooper bar efter the game. competition for places is a good thing & having "impact" players coming off the bench is something we've long been missing. To me the only thing missing from the wee man's game has been the breaks he had early in his Well career & if you can level a criticism at him it's that he's maybe trying too hard of late. For me that's no bad thing though cos you can tell how much he wants to do the right thing. With a bit of luck the goals today might just re-ignite his season.
  11. Champions League you're needin' a bath........... there's your response.

    St Johnstone

Bang on but don't let that take away from how good the rest of the team were. Nicky Law had his best game in ages as well as Murphy, Jenno, Lasley, Hammell having blinders. Plus all the subs contributed hugely. The back four knocked their pan in too & apart from the f*ck up at the penalty were immense. All in all a great day.

Delighted for Humphrey today. I've said it before but it's hard to have a perfect final ball when there's no-one to aim at. Today we had bodies in the box supporting him & it makes all the difference. F*ckin' amazin' shift today from him & the rest of the boys. To quote Andy Gray......."take a bow son"

    Fir Park Dj Must Go

what god-forsaken pish do you think we'll need to tolerate on Sunday then? always been a few good piss-takes over the years wi choons like "gypsies, tramps & thieves" "who knew" & "when the kids come out" getting belted out at HT. Any suggestions for winding up the soap-dodgers this time? paranoid dignity wash your face in my sink any more you can think of, stick them doon. knowing that baw-bag though it's mair likely to be the Pogues & Daniel O'Donnell wi' a 12" acid f*ckin' remix mash-up.
  16. the perils of typing when you're pished. forget CF's, meant centre halves. Fud.
  17. really frustrating 80 mins until the goal which came from nowhere to be fair. I had just mentioned that if we scored now (with 15 mins to go) that we'd go on to win the game but once we scored I felt Hibs got a 2nd wind & if anything they looked slightly more likely to score than us all in all we didn't play well but still bossed possession for the majority of the game without creating enough. Higdon, much as I've defended him most Saturday's was again pretty poor as were many others. Ojamaa tries hard but nothing is coming off for him unlike the first few weeks here. Personally thought that the two CF's were our best players with Humphrey putting in a hard-working shift against a team with two pacey players doubling up on him until Sproule went off. Folk can moan all they want about his final ball but if there's only a pretty static Michael Higdon to aim for most times he's in the position to cross with about four green jersey's round him the odds are it's not going to cause much panic in their ranks. All in all though got to be happy with a point after having so much of the ball & never looking dangerous.
  18. watching fitba sober is gash. need a wee charge before a game, it's all part of the full matchday experience had a right mental trips away with clouded memories of what went on but one that sticks in my mind is a trip to Aberdeen on the Dalziel Arms bus in the 90's. 57 seater with around 45 or so members of the ever well behaved Saturday Service & a sprinkling of less casually dressed but all good lads. stopped at a boozer in Bridge of Don & left about 50 in there all day while the bus ran around 7 of us to game. came back to pick them all up after the game & everyone was blazing as you could imagine. rounded up everyone & headed back to Stonehaven where we stopped in the square to pick up a cargo from Haddows. they had nae Tonic so I bought a bottle of Thunderbird (!) whilst the shop is being systematically looted by the rest of our bus. the haul was phenomenal with vodka, champers & even a huge basket full of red wine being dragged out the shop in full view of the bemused staff & a polis motor outside with two cops slack-jawed as this massive free cairry oot was lifted onto the bus. a couple of miles down the road with the party in full swing a convoy of polis motors & vans performs a perfect circle round the bus pulling it on to the hard shoulder. everyone sets about hiding their booze as the cops come on. unbelievably the polisman at the front gies it "right lads, we know you've stolen alcohol from the shop up the road, now if you just give us back the champagne & spirits you can get on your way". so eventually the stolen booze is passed down the bus & they disappear back to their cars & vans with it. i'm that pissed i start arguing that i've got a receipt for the Thunderbird & they let me keep it! they made us put any beer or cider that anyone had in the hold under the bus & we got an escort first from Grampian police, then Tayside & so on until we got back to Lanarkshire. half expected to all get huckled back at the Dalziel but didnae happen. I bet they had some f*ckin' party at the station that night!
  19. We lived in the new(ish) flats at Windmill court behind Glencairn tower from '95 until 02 & had umpteen Well legends(!) living in the same block round that time including Ged Brannan (who had Lee McCulloch as a constant visitor), Eliphas Shivute, Martin Wood & Dougie Ramsey, plus Mario Dorner & Franz sum coont or other that Austrian boy. Monday nights were the worst as the boys must have been off training on the tuesday & spent every Monday in the Palace on the pull so you would end up wi' steamin fitba players & their mates all pushing your buzzer at 3am after the dancin' wi' a never ending squad of wee slunkers that they'd picked up. Ged Brannan's scouse mates came up & were absolutely oot o' their tits constantly trying to get in the wrong door driving us aw nuts. Came back in from work one day to find mucky footprints all over our front door where some scumbag had tried to break in. turned out he'd been some junkie ersehole who had been coming back from getting his methadone at the chemist & decided to burgle our flat. luckily he didnae get in but he did manage to kick in the flat below's door which turned out to be Martin Woods & Dougie Ramsay's. they came back from training to find the guy filling a bin bag with their clothes. he seemingly turned round & asked them "what the f*ck do yooz want?" at which the two laddies about turned & done a Usain Bolt impression up to the polis station. by the time they got back the guy was away leaving his methadone prescription with his name & address lying on the floor so obviously didnae need Columbo to solve that yin. the best by far though was Sasa Curcic. he was proper nuts & would have full blown raves in the flat, himsel, while whooping & hollering at the top of his voice, between mad hand claps & whistling like a manic sheep herder listening to mad Eurotechno at full pelt. christ knows what he was oan but I could have done wi' a wee line masel!
  20. 100% dive. Mulgrew may have caught him prior to him going down but it was well before he hit the deck. More interested to see the OJ incident when Wilson hit the deck & the ref gave a free-kick with him in the clear. kept the ball well at times but really didn't have a clear opportunity all day. As others mentioned the commentators on that first row link were unreal, constantly moaning about Motherwell kicking them off the park & going on about how few fouls we commit when playing Rangers. It really is a toss of the coin to decide what lot you hate the most..........
  21. hospitality for me & the missus the morra courtesy of a guy we deal with through work. sitting in the club deck hoping against hope that it's no' another 4, 5 or 6 nil doing as it has been on a few of the last occassions i've been to Ibrox. my only prediction is that i'm gonnae get absolutely blitzed on their free booze & try to plunge Rangers into further financial crisis. oh aye......& ahm on the park if we win! Mon the Well.
  22. Up at ma cousin's in Arrochar for the weekend & listened to the game on the radio. right on the bevvy to celebrate after the game. absolutely delighted with the result & the performance after watching the highlights on the net. just one thing tho, whit aboot that shy fae Hateley in the lead up to the goal? we used to get fined 20p for a foul shy like that when playing with Carluke Thistle in the 80's!! who give's a f*ck tho? Happy days.

between Lasley & Law for me but thought both full-backs played well enough & Higdon offered much more than of late. also liked the look of Daley when he came on as well.
