  3. Flow is spitting feathers check his twittter page @Alan_Burrows. Top bloke canny disagree with him over this incident
  4. I'm hoping it was to assess his fitness and how he would fit in with the team, given the difference he seems to make when he does come on we need to ensure a "proper" contract is shoved under his nose ASAP.
  5. Stewart M. Regan @StewartRegan21 Jan Reply Retweeted Favorite · Open @Malloyal we are looking at a new U20 league for next season incl overseas players. In reply to Alisdair Malloy One of the things discussed at a national strategy planning meeting , in regards to the B team issue Stewart M. Regan @StewartRegan21 Jan Reply Retweet Favorite · Open @IainMcGill @malloyal not everyone can afford B teams unfortunately. At least the SFA seem to recognise there is a need at this level.
  6. Yet again the harbingers of doom are trying to find something else to moan about, the hiiggy haters always have to find something even when the big man gets us out of jail. I personally don't see too much difference between higgys celebration and this If anything Craigans is more like a get it round you than Higdons. Here's a radical suggestion lets get off the players backs and actually support them and the club ! It's difficult enough to attract and keep players at a club like ours.
  7. I despair about certain elements of our support, some players will never be good enough for them. I'm beginning to think they have a list of players and are working through this hit list. Yet at the same time certain other players seem fireproof irrespective of what they do, and don't even get me started on how they are with the manager !
  8. Bring back hanging, oops sorry wrong thread
  9. I was reflecting on the news today that a couple of our young players are going out on loan clicky It struck me that if we had regular properly competitive football for guys who are too old for the U19s and not quite ready to make the step up to first team football it would ensure that when these guys are needed to play in first team games then they are ready. As an example (put's tin hat on ) Ross Forbes has shown some really good flashes of ability in his time here but doesn't appear to be able to break into the regular first team, bounce games and closed door games such as Fleetwood recently are all well and good but they are no substitute for competitive matches every week. I know it's down to money but what's the point of investing in "grass roots" football when these boys get to a certain level and there careers just stall. What do you think ?
  10. Is this perhaps a knock on effect from the disbanding of the SPL Reserve League, fringe players don't get regular competitive games and so when called upon for the 1st team don't seem up to standard ?
  11. Few players did much wrong today, Felt perhaps Las could've positioned himself better prior to Thade's goal, perhaps when Craggs was behind him doing exactly what he should've been doing Las could've moved to cover the humongous space to the right of him. Story of the game really for all our possession and passing we couldn't score (Deja-Vu anyone) They had 1 good chance and scored.
  12. Seriously ? Postie Jim have a word with yourself what was your projection for this point of the season ? Perhaps SMcC has become a victim of his own early success and the expectation level has gone way above our station. Had you said to me at the start of the season that by mid January we'd have dropped to Th and that would be our lowest league position so far and still have 2 games in hand I'd have sent for the men in white coats to take you away, perhaps we still should. I'd much rather be where we are than scrapping with Hibs and Dunfemline for SPL Survival.
  13. Lets try an get a bit of perspective about this result we won 4-0 with a team made up of some 1st team regulars and the rest fringe players and young players, Rangers away to Arbroath with a full 1st team have only just gone 4 up. As has been pointed out into the next round with a few players rested no new injury concerns and some good goals scored that's good enough for me.
  14. All about the location who did you bribe for such a top pitch ?
  15. There are people who post on here will never rate Ross Forbes irrespective of what he does, I thought he was better today than he has been in a lot of games. Today was always going to be about a proffesional competent performance and that's exactly what we got. There is an argument we should have won by a greater margin etc. but we put out the spine of the first team augmented by fringe players and comfortably qualified for the next round of the cup , what more do you want ?
  16. While I'd love to award it to Rickozza for his sterling programme selling work I felt he could have done more It has to be Murph caused problems every time he went forward and should've had his hat trick
  17. Hey guys do you have the "Jack Daniels" style T-Shirt XL in stock ? Thanks
  18. I think it's things like this that justify the subscription for me things we would otherwise not know about. Good to see young Nicky Devlins' rehab is ahead of schedule, clearly a good medical staff at MFC which when you consider how small the squad is can only be a good thing
  19. This and the fact that we seem to stand off teams and allow them to play. Definitely need to be more ruthless.
  20. I think we need to start with our strongest 11 and look to kill the game off by HT then look to fringe players. We need a confidence booster and nothing boosts a teams confidence than scoring goals and winning games.
  21. It's no longer acceptable, Our away form has been the only positive of late and that's back to back away defeats against a " poor " Hearts side and a "poor" Rangers side. Last decent performance was St Johnstone away, we've been papering over the cracks for some time now. The reality is that we do not have the abiltiy to bring in players to change this and if we're honest with ourselves top 6 and a decent cup run is a decent season for us. I'm not calling for anyone's head or any of that knee jerk pish,. however it's time for some straight talking from the club and the gaffer. We have to adjust our expectations level. The rest of this month will define our season Queens Park (cup) and then ICT home , Arabs away Dunfermline then St Johnstone Home. We need to be looking at minimum 10/12 points and progression in the cup.
