I posted this in another thread and some of the guys suggested it merits its own thread. http://www.tributetophil.com/ Trek Cotopaxi is an ambitious project where 12 men will spend 10 days trekking Mount Cotopaxi in Ecuador in an attempt to raise £100,000 in memory of Phil O’Donnell for the British Heart Foundation. The trek is scheduled to take place during summer 2011 and training has already begun. The trek is being attempted by Phil's friends and previous teammates at Motherwell FC and Celtic FC. Those undertaking the challenge are Simon Donnelly, Jackie McNamara, Kenny Crichton, Alan Archibald, Willie Kinniburgh, Greg Anderson, Darren Jackson, Ross Anderson, Craig Hinchcliffe, David Rowson, Jim Patterson and Bill Leckie, with support and assistance from Martyn Corrigan, Phil Scott and Martyn Hamilton.

But then its reported that the last meeting lasted a massive 3 hours so that agenda would have to be cut back so I've taken off a couple of points which leaves and agenda looking something like this. What do the OF want ? Let's agree to that and have lunch.

Couldn't find this anywhere but even if it is then its worthwhile http://www.tributetophil.com/ Trek Cotopaxi is an ambitious project where 12 men will spend 10 days trekking Mount Cotopaxi in Ecuador in an attempt to raise £100,000 in memory of Phil O’Donnell for the British Heart Foundation. Is there a Hall of the cynical bastards for our posts to be moved to ?
-
More lazy journalism from the bbc, no doubt we'll see more and more stories like this substituting Blackmans name for any 'Well player out of contract or approaching the end of their contract.
-
Fair point Steve, the shiny new official site would be the place to make a statement, However what sort of statement could be released to disguise the fact that this is what the OF want and so most probably what we'll get.

Although not a popular choice its being sold as the only one to prevent total financial meltdown for SPL member clubs.(Claim is a bigger league will mean an average loss in revenue of around £1M) The reasoning being ,An expanded league means spreading the exisitng meagre wealth among more clubs. If this is the way things are going and it looks likely then there has to be an adequate provision for the lower level clubs and a framework for developing young players. On one of the phone ins someone suggested that to balance things out the League cup structure could be changed where only scottish players were eligible to play or the regional leagues style format be reintroduced. I think the clubs have to look at the bigger picture and what's best for everyone and not just Celtic and Rangers. However I don't think its an appropriate time or place for our Chief Exec to comment on the proposals.

Expectations For The Season Fans turning on players and abusing them when they don't think they're doing enough.

Although the craig site has plans they do include an industrial campus http://www.ravenscraig.co.uk/masterplan.asp given the current economic crisis is that really pheasible or would it not serve better for a community football club to have it ?
-
I'd love to see us matching up physically against the hackies, that would put their gas at a peep. None of this standing back pish get in about them from the off.

Or Mr O Reilly (alledgedly) Potato!

Could we not have even 1 thread running here which doesn't descend into sqaubbling amongst ourselves Anyway welcome on board Messrs McCall and Craig hope you do brilliantly, as a step for a hint if your wondering where to start then many succesful teams build from the back, in that respect the keeper is sound then the pitfalls commence.

Agreed cheers Youngy Motherwell through and through !
-
Which showed highlights of Uncle Phil on their colours AGAIN fucking typical.
-
Come on Flow get your fancy new web site updated with this breaking news, would seem Youngy has spilled the beans. "Interim boss Gordon Young said: "I look forward to working with Stuart McCall." "
-
Scott Burns is a trumpet of the highest magnitude, he's been trying to make himself look like he has a well placed source inside the club but is merely spouting rumour and conjecture. Typically lazy journalist. And as for Scott Leitch, you made your bed fella.

Its not without merit, anything which helps us survive is worhty of discussion.

No sure if I like the font

And we've been feeding managers to Aberdeen too
-
And if more people did that we'd be in an even bigger mess.

Everyone is moaning about the state of the stadium the lack of quality on the pitch etc. etc. all of which cannot be sorted without large injections of money. Until we can get some of the 9000 odds wh were at FP for the Odense game to come on a regular basis we have to mend and make do thats the sad reality of the game at present. I get it that's a catch 22 but it is whats needed, there are over 2300 registered members on this forum alone how many have season tickets or go to games regularly, I know it's not always practical or possible but again symptomatic of the apathy which erodes our game.
-
We got them out of the coop and rightly so however we probably cannot afford to lose the revenue from even that extra amount of OF scumbags that get put in the Phil, until we start filling our own stands ( The amount of empty seats in all 3 home areas was an embarrassment) then we have to put up with this shit. I'm sure the club would rather those seats were filled with 'Well fans and so did not need to pander to the ugly sisters.
-
At the moment buttons is still probably more than we have, unless of course we put out a call to arms for any leftover chocolate buttons from the selection boxes
-
We had a home game against Killy postponed for "Safety Reasons" the cconcil hadn't been near the roads and pavements around the ground, that will be voucher no.9 in the season books, half season book started with voucher 10

Don't see that it matters what the line up is as they'll stand off the Shellic players allow them to run through the defence and score at will. Why should this game be any different it's not like we'll suddenly grow a pair and start getting in about teams is it ?
