  1. Hi Rob I think I still have used tickets for all 3 of the games payed at Airdrie, I'll have a look over the weekend and let you know (I'm assumin thats what your after) and happily swap all 3 for the programme from steau
  2. I see where the confusion lies I didn't mean nosebeed in a literal sense , Mark Reynolds that far up the park (49 mins - Robinson Zapata parries a Ross Forbes free-kick into the path of Mark Reynolds, who flashes a shot narrowly wide of the far post. ) not something that happens very regularly
  3. COuldn't choose between Sutton Coke and Forbes but gave my vote to Mark Reynolds just for his nosebleed shot on goal
  4. check some of the links from last week , I had excellent coverage using sopcast which is suggested in the topic http://www.steelmenonline.co.uk/forums/ind...?showtopic=3834
  5. The whole area around th stadium is pretty snarled up and I cant see it getting much better pre match, worth getting over a bit early
  6. Just been to get my tickets and had a look at the merchandise, some cracking stuff there.
  7. There are may pubs in the town centre which is not far from the stadium (5 minutes by car ,10-15 minutes from the stadium). There is a Wetherspoons named The Robert Hamilton or there's the Cellar Bar near to the Town Hall which has a good selection of Whisky. Depending where you have a hotel for the night it would be worth going to the Pub in Motherwell named Jack Daniels whre many 'Well fans will gather prior to going over to Airdrie you will be made most welcome and may even get to travel on the supporters bus to the game.
  8. Unibond First Division North finished 7th last season No idea who played for us though.
  9. An image we could've done without but I reckon if we got through to the next round the Excelsior would be a very sticky mess
  10. For far too long the team has picked itself, how many times have we seen posts complaining that MMG had no tactical nouse and no imagination when it came to players ? It strikes me that Gannon sees this very much as a squad game and adopts a horses for courses approach to games, way too soon to be judging or analyse this approach the SPL season will obviously be the acid test. In any job the boss has ultimate say on who does what, and if you don't like it tough, deal with it or look for another job.
  11. A couple of suggestions to avoid worst of the traffic either come in through Calderbank, when you come to the roundabout after the village take a right and park in the industrial estate atthe top of that road ( brownsburn road) or via Coatbridge and when you come to the roundabout at Morrisons in Airdrie (where the old broomfield was) take a right and follow that road all the way up (gartlea road) and park at the bottom.

Maybe we could get a wee teaser say a close up of a shoulder or something .......here thats a good idea bet nobody ever thought of doing that for a fitba strip launch before Don't launch it at the St, Johnstone game have to work that day (unless of course I have a terrible illness like swinecastle flu)
  13. I can see where your coming from with regard to the atmosphere but I hope everyone who comes to the game on thursday is smart enough to know that this is probably now about preparing for the new season and gets behind the team giving them thier full vocal support, we have nothing to lose and all to gain. After all this may well be the last ever european game played at the shitesberry excelsior
  14. Hope John Ruddy takes a look at this (nudge nudge 'Flow), says a lot for the guy when after losing 3 goals in his first game for us still gets top votes for MOTM
  15. I never for a minute honestly reckoned we'd make the next round and that viewpoint hasn't changed obviously, however as has been said earlier what we need to see next week is a significant improvement week on week , How the team lines up ad what JG changes in terms of personnel and tactically.
  16. We're not dead and buried yet, a wee goal for us and we're right back in it who here wouldnae take a 2-1 to bring back to airdrie next week ?
  17. The mere fact we are playing a team of that calibre and people are thinking we might be able to cause an upset is brilliant. At risk of being overl optimistic, I cant think of a better way to go into a game like this than on the back of last Thursdays game.
  18. Have to agree there , I think Gannon clearly picks his team to do a specific job gameby game at the moment and will probably be a bit less flair and attack minded. I'd be happy with a 1-1 away from home , although 'd be delighted with a sneaky 0-1 away win with a goal of Bob Malcomesque in of someones knob style.
  19. What he said ! that was incredible !
  20. Sutton to score 1st, 3-1 'well , (25-1 Ladbrokes)
  21. Well put Steve it really is as simple as that. I'll raid my piggy bank and root about down the ack of the couch and in the car for coins, games on the day before pay day, unless the good people in the ticket office (Ours or Airdries will take an IOU) but one way or another I'll find the cash and hopefully many many more wil too and get right behind the team.
  22. Thats actually a really good shout, I reckon we'll see Jennings on as a sub at some point on thursday. It might not seem much but the rest of the team have had some pre-season training and now 3 competitive matches, that has to help their fitness. Hopefully that wll realy tell come the start of the new season.
  23. I'm fairly certain if we get through the next match with a win he will be eligible for the next round though
  24. Have watched loads of the pro youth games and traveled about a fair bit when my mates laddie played for the under 15s
  25. Better players than him have left the club and we've been OK , that having said I don't begrudge him his move ,The guy has a family to support and needs to do what seems best. Good luck Buzz.
