Although Sutton more than merits his votes as MOTM I have given a vote for Lee Hollis, Suttons goals obviously helped to win the game but Hollis made some important saves at crucial times.

Presumably from that comment you were not at the game and did not see the gradual build up of police personnel or that they could see exactly what they were getting in to. There was clearly no public order situation it was fans inside a football stadium doing exactly what they have been doing for some time, being animated and vocal singing and supporting their team. This was either a pre planned strategy or a gross over reaction and lack of judgement from the Match Commander.

It's an odd one there were a couple of smoke bombs but no confrontation or negative interaction with the stewards, someone bottled it today be it Security staff or Match Commander and hit the panic button.

None of this justifies the reaction of the St Mirren security staff or for that matter the Police who came charging in mob handed spoiling for a fight.
