From the official site " Mark McGhee is also running the rule over trialists Byron Webster and New Zealand International Simon Elliot as he looks to add to the squad in the transfer window." Anyone know much about either of these 2 ? Am I the only one to be more than a little concerned that again we are looking at trialists similar to summer transfer window when little came of it ?

good point well made, too many people tar the well boys with this brush of being a bunch of silly wee laddies, but I know for a fact thats not the case, Good luck with this I look forward to seeing the outcome

Can Anybody Remember This Happening Before Volume Ii
East_Stand_Al replied to real dosser's topic in Club Chat
Richmond = Fud Brines = Fud thought Mike Tumilty had a decent game (Us v Killie Monday 15th December) -
Hmmm 7 goals this season, what could he do if he were trying ?
-
Is it maybe time our boys got that bit cuter in situations like that, but then the likes of richmond and brines would still give us hee haw

Quality Post wellgirl, we are a fickle lot aren't we. I dont give a rats bahookey who's in charge I'm backing the 'well Mon the well lets turn this around starting with this hielan mob today

Coach has had some bad press and I'm sure he'd be the first to admit he's no aangel, howver this says to me that Paul Quinn has grown uo and also has shown that the spirit of Phil O'Donnell ives on at Motherwell Football Club. I agree he should be given back the captaincy even if only until crags is back, personaly thought should never have been stripped of it in the first place. Thanks flow for providng an insight to the press conference , bah humbug to the cynics and sceptics To all at MFC players, management ,staff and fans Merry Christmas and best wishes for 2009.

I'll be in the East Stand hopefully pausing to reflect on Phil and a comprehensive well victory, I wasn't there that day but I'm told the football was fanatstic maybe it wil be again.

From the notts forest website Forest boss: Striker is priority Saturday, December 20, 2008, 07:30 18 readers have commented on this story. Click here to read their views. COLIN Calderwood has put a striker at the top of Nottingham Forest's January shopping list – with Motherwell's Chris Porter believed to be among the prime targets. Fair ye well Ports that explains why you came over to the fans after the accies game

I intend to have this poll closed, I think its run its course and demonstrated an overwhelming suppport wth almost 80% voting to " Allow Mark McGhee some slack, giving him what funds are available to strengthen in January but have the "If things do not improve then we have to part company " " Many thanks to everyone who voted/posted see you all on saturday ?

Just saw this on the offishal MFC site A huddle for Phil! Tuesday, 23 December 2008 Pre-match tribute. This Saturday’s match against Inverness Caledonian Thistle will mark the one year anniversary since legendary captain Phil O’Donnell tragically passed away.As well as a souvenir match programme remembering his life, the players will perform a pre-match huddle to pay their own respects. During that time, the management, players and staff would encourage all ‘Well fans to make as much noise as possible to pay proper tribute to a Motherwell great. Then keep the noise and support going for the full ninety minutes and hopefully cheer the boys onto what would be a vital win. Lets ave you all there dont care if your a fairweather big game fan or first timer come to the game , please

I think we can all agree Kilmarnock last Monday and then Accies on Saturday has been reviewed and analysed to death. Lets now look ahead to Saturday and Caley Thistle, I'm predicting the start of the long awaited MFC revival, hope to see a packed Fir Park and lots of positive support for OUR team. Dear Santa , I have been a good(ish) boy all year, please can I have 3 points on Saturday even if it is a 1-0 win with the ball going in off bobs arse. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY

Your Hired can you start Monday ?

I think I've finally found something that would in fact stop me going to Fir Park and supporting the 'well

Totally agree with the orignal post, and to an extent with well girls sentiments but don't you think we've kicked the guys in the nuts enough, you only need to have seen porters reaction at the end of the accies game he came over to applaud us at the end and his face said it all for me he was gutted. I don't believe for one second that the players or the manager don't give a toss, and if you seen the boy Saunders late in the second half against Killie he made his first error of the game but it was right in front of the East Stand and he got ripped to shreds for it. I guess what I'm tryng to say is that as tannoy man says (well I think he does I'm on the East Stand and you know how crap the tannoy sounds in there) LETS GET RIGHT BEHIND THE WELL, maybe just try shouiting some words of encouragement instead of dogs abuse. Before you criticize someone you should walk a mile in their shoes

Craggs fell for the Brafur question , Funny as FCUK

There is a suggestion here that people who for whatever reason could not be there would somehow be less affected by the tragedy of that day, I'm sure that no-one in Scottish football whichever club they follow will forget. However although Phil was a huge part of our footballing family and indeed a true gentleman, the priority here must be to his flesh and blood family. By all means mark his passing in whatever way you wish but we must at all times be mindful of The O'Donnell's and their wishes, That is at the heart of the family values that this club holds dear.

There are a lot of voices out there calling for the managers head on a plate following recent results its easy to see why, Is this justified or a knee jerk reaction ?
-
The most alarming thing about this promo is the way the team are performing just now, bring a friend to watch that mince that was served up on monday night they'll laugh thier way home and never come back.
-
The best tribute for phil is for as many people as possible to come to the ICT game get right behind the team and roar them on to victory. I'm pretty sure Phils family and friends would much prefer that and for them to be able to remember thier Husband/father/son/brother in thier own way. I'm sure many of you out there know the first anniversary is the most difficult especially at this time of year
-
I agree wholeheartedly, I could have sat home and watched the game on monday and been able to switch it off but I'd rather be there even if I couldn't even be arsed booing at the end
