You ruined your own for being a total banger! Glad I leathered you that night

Thought Jennings was murder last night. Only slightly better than Forbes. O'Brien was top notch last night. MOM

Noticed a few comments in the East Stand thread (which is a hole and knocking it down would be the best option) about catering. Did anyone else notice that the young girls in the old Ladbrokes office in the East Stand were transferring the hot water for tea/bovril in a plastic tub? One you would use for storage? Would be surprised if anyone got a floater free hot drink from that kiosk. Never mind the shit produce (with the exception of the Chicken Balti Pie when you manage to get one) the service is murder. There is one horror in particular who stuck her finger into the middle of a pie to see if it was warm!

14:05 from Mothwerwell Jay so see you in Edinburgh!

He is certainly good enough and reckon a job like ours in what he needs after the Scotland "era" but I am still quite bitter towards him. He along with Gary Caldwell ruined my trip to Oslo (I also blame the silly beer prices too!!).
-
Not embroidered at all? Good luck finding out!
-
Don't think we could match his ambition Jay. He would be looking for a large salary and also a fair budget to achieve more than the odd top 6 finish.
-
I am in no way doubting the validity of this but I would be surprised if the O'Donnell family dont have his worn shirt from his only Scotland appearance.
-
You still bitter about The Cooper or something? He has always done what is best for the club. That includes putting us into administration and remember righting off a fair amount of his personal money.

I always thought it was Switzerland but I could well be wrong!

John Boyle is possibly the best owner that we could wish for. He has once again acted on the best interests of the club by sacking Jim Gannon. Some people really don't appreciate what he has done for the club. With the exception of putting full trust in Pat Nevin almost every other decision has been spot on. - Knocked back the sale to Coakley for the club a few years back. Tommy Coakley would never have had the best interests of the club. Asset stripping was his aim! - Cooper to the Old Firm fans was not popular with our support but he was maximising the income for our club. He was doing this to improve our playing budget and put a better product on the park. It didn't work and he has reverted back. All avenues need to be explored to improve budget. - Removal of Maurice Malpas was a great move by John Boyle. He got rid of Hegarty knowing that Malpas would stay loyal to his assistant and walk too. Once again a great move by John Boyle. - Appointment of Mark McGhee. He never took the usual load of journeymen managers and brought in someone who knows the game and it benefited us. - Compensation agreement for McGhee moving on. £200k is not to be sniffed at. - The rumoured moves for Stephen Hughes and Chris Porter were being personally paid for by John Boyle. - Rumour posted and heard elsewhere that John Boyle has sanctioned a £400k move for John Ruddy in return for a percentage of the future transfer fee. We would need to punt him for £2m for Boyle to recoup his money. Well Done John Boyle and I hope you continue to run our club as you currently are doing....

Gannon Sacked! Motherwell Part Company with Manager
Mitch replied to steelman1991's topic in Club Chat
Had a bit of time to think about this now. I actually have no ill feeling towards Gannon leaving as some of his decisions were crazy at times. Reckon he had been working his ticket out for some weeks. The team have not performed for months and I am not unhappy to see him move on. Especially now with rumours about his attitude and things going on behind the scenes. The nonsense with Hugh Dallas pissed me off quite a bit and I am sure I am quoted on here saying so. Jim Gannon comes across very arrogant and wont accept anyone questioning his integrity. I do believe we still have quite a bit of dead wood in our squad and the new manager has got a huge job on his hands in the coming weeks and months. Lets not kid ourselves we are in real danger of getting dragged into the dogfight at the wrong end of the table. Will be surprised if we are not in and around that area come May. We have got possibly the best man we could get at the time in Craig Brown. Wouldn't be upset if he sees us through till the end of the season and we start the rebuilding job (again!) during the summer. -
Jimmy Calderwood is my 1st choice. George Burley I would accept but the Scotland issues left me more than a little bitter towards him. Maybe we can tempt Bobby Williamson back from Uganda

Gannon Sacked! Motherwell Part Company with Manager

Good luck Gannon. Dont let the door hit you on the arse on the way out!! -
Cant agree I am afraid. Quinn didnt offer the same pace but the rest of his game (his crossing only a bit better) is superior to this numpty. Infact I would rather have Tom H at right back.
-
Naebody asked you so button it
-
So you agree that he is shit?

Was in this morning and got the 12 tickets I was after. Was told by the (very helpful) lady that it was up to Christmas Eve. Get yourself down but wouldnt leave it too late in the day incase the shut early as alot of businesses do on Christmas Eve.

Still stand by my previous posts, the guy is murder. He has got nothing to his game except his pace. His positional sense is non-existent and his crossing is awful. He isnt even the best tackler either. Therefore I fail to see what he has to offer us at right back. I honestly would take Paul Quinn over him every day of the week and twice on a Sunday! Edit - Still using the Paul Quinn point as I know how so many people fail to rate him.

Highlights for me during the time were: 1. Semi Final at Easter Road. Don't think any well fan will forget that night. Would say it was the best day of my adult life supporting Motherwell FC. 2. The 'Well invasion of Nancy is something we will all talk about for years to come. Bucharest wasnt too bad either to be fair but the numbers in Nancy made it special. 3. The 3 great results against Celtic, Rangers and Hearts the season we finished bottom. Lowlights 1. The passing of our captain Phil O'Donnell. 2. The day of administration and uncertainty for all us 'Well fans. 3. Maurice Malpas "era". Never seen so many 'Well fans fight with each other at matches. We have seen some very good goals over the last 10 years also. The Jim Hamilton volley against Celtic springs to mind as the best of the bunch. Scored and played some cracking stuff when McGhee 1st took over just a pity that he has left such a bitter taste when he left. We have avoided relegation over the last 10 years which is excellent. Need to continue to build and not accept 11th place every season.

This is pretty tough to be honest. No doubt I will have forgotten about a few players. Going to stick with the basic 4-4-2. Ruddy Corrigan Craigan Reynolds Paterson McCormack Leitch Pearson McFadden McDonald Porter To be honest I struggled quite a bit for a centre half to go along with Craigan. Went for Reynolds as to be honest it was a toss up between him and Partridge as we aint really been too blessed with good defenders. Opted out for Teale as I dont think he played for us in the 00's but could be wrong.
