  1. I am consistent with my support. Benefit of the doubt until I can see they are pish!
  2. To be honest that was just a bit of a fishing trip by myself. Opinions are not something that you can win or lose on. However still far too many Happy Clappers that can see no wrong with the club!
  3. The guy is murder. 2/3 of the folk think so the other 1/3 are happy clappy! Close the thread and get on with it!

I am off work that day anyway so can see it being a riot! Superb!
  6. Our full team got the c**t ripped out them in Bucharest. Only one that got a good bit of credit was Ruddy!
  7. Only 36 hours late with that one....

I reckon Jutkiewicz will struggle to go much higher but Ruddy has the potential to be an excellent top flight keeper in England!
  9. So he is on 5 goals? Up to what fixture are you talking?
  10. Well in the last few seasons we have had: 08/09 - Clarkson 13 League Goals 07/08 - Porter 15 League Goals (Clarkson also had 12 and McCormack also on a decent number) 06/07 - McDonald 15 League Goals 05/06 - No One Worth Talking About 04/05 - McDonald 15 League Goals 03/04 - Clarkson 11 League Goals Lukas Jutkiewicz is currrently on 5 League Goals. I am CERTAIN that he will not beat the amount of goals scored by McDonald & Porter (ie 15 League Goals) this season. Happy to enter a wager with you with the terms that he has to stay the full season.

Not commented much on the match yet. Always like to leave it a couple of days to let things calm down to stop me being too positive or negative. Only really commented on our right back (aint that right SteveDiggle ) so will miss him out of anything in here as a full thread is on the go at the moment. Thought overall the draw was the correct result. We were the better in the side in the first half and were rightfully ahead despite the bit of luck with Langfield being poor for our goal. Thought Murphy was excellent on Saturday but should have done better with his one of one with Langfield which was eventually cleared off the line from his header. He was at the heart of almost everything positive about or attacking play and he looks confident after his Scotland displays. Was disappointed that O'Brien didn't start on Saturday as he is such an attacking threat for us. Forbes just doesnt have the engine to play that side of midfield (I think Melvin Bragg is spot on with the Fitzpatrick/Forbes comment he made somewhere else on this board) and I think replacing him with O'Brien at half time was the correct change to make but possibly at the wrong time. Would have maybe given it another 10-15mins. I have not been impressed with Jutkiewicz since he came to us on loan but he is starting to impress me in his last couple of outings. I reckon he could do alot worse than take a move to Scotland for a year (depends on his contract situation at Everton) and get more games under his belt before moving back down south similar to Chris Porter. John Ruddy is top notch. I dont think I have seen a better goalkeeper at Fir Park since Sieb Dykstra. I think Melvin Bragg was made to eat his words when he said he would rather have Langfield than Ruddy before the match started. Hang your head in shame big man! It will be impossible to keep a hold of Ruddy beyond the end of the season (hopefully we can keep him in January) as this lad is certain to go onto bigger and better things. Great shot stopper and commands his box superbly. Couple of wee negatives to comment on: Why don't we have anyone on the back post at corners? That is two goals in the last two matches that could have been prevented if we had a man on the post? Poor finishing from Sutton. Should have played in O'Brien but chose to shoot directly at Langfield and he also took a poor touch from the square ball that Jutkiewicz played to him. Must do better or I can see Sutton having the same issues as Craigan. Overall it was the correct result and look forward to next week.
  12. So because we could have been in an Airdrie predicament we should accept that we have weaknesses in our side and not discuss or comment on them? I mean next I will be hearing the line "atleast we have a team to support. Didnt look that good in the early 00's". A decent season for me would be a comfortable SPL finish and a decent run in a cup competition. I am delighted that we have achieved more in recent seasons but we should always strive to improve. Not just be thankful that we are not in the same bother as our North Lanarkshire neighbours. We have a decent SPL chairman (despite not being popular!) and a very good manager. Why should we not be looking to improve all the time by replacing players who are not contributing enough? There are a couple of players in the side at the moment who also need to be doing a little bit more. (I will comment on them once a thread gets fired up )
  13. I know Humphrey was not an option for Saturday but going forward it is something that should be looked at. Same as having Reynolds on the left too as I thought he was excellent against Accies. I cant remember any crosses in the game on Saturday being anything above poor. How often does he put the ball directly out for goal kick by either a poor cross or over running it? When he gets the ball and runs at pace it does give you that bit of excitement but the end product is not good enough. He did have a good tackle in the 2nd half on Saturday about 20 yards inside our own half. I will give you that one. His positional skills leave us badly exposed when teams break. He was excellent against Rangers and I really liked the look of him but reckon it was a one off.
  14. Jay's is big enough (and ugly enough ) to watch his own back so I "waded in" to make my own point. However Chris Porter and James McFadden were liked by almost all 'Well fans were Paul Quinn certainly was not (both for his on and off the field antics!). Thats why I chose to mentioned him when discussing Moutouatkil.
  15. Which part of his game contributes to the overall success of the team? His pace? That's about all I can think of at the moment. He is continually badly out of position which then leads to Saunders having to cover leaving us exposed through the middle of our back 4 as teams break. When he gets to the byline you get a little excited only for him to fluff his cross. Can only think of a couple of decent crosses in his many attempts. You are correct that he will be our right back until the transfer window as we have no other options but I will be disappointed if Gannon extends his loan period beyond January. There must be better options out there available on loan until the summer where Gannon has more time to find a long term replacement. Even if he was available and within budget I wouldn't want him as a long term option. Even Humphrey playing a wing back role against Accies was better than this lad!
  16. It was more the statement above that I was replying too. Just because we are doing well just now (points wise but not performances) doesn't mean we can ignore the negatives and I am afraid our right back is a position I feel we can improve on. Would have Paul Quinn back in a heartbeat!
  17. Don't think I have ever used that phrase on here but don't let that get in the way. The positives do outway the negatives but you cant just ignore them. We need to keep improving to stay in the hunt with United and Hibs. You can put your head in the sand and ignore them but they wont go away. Continual improvement is required.
  18. A lad is murder! If he didnt have the pace that he has then he wouldnt be anywhere near a football team. He came up against a half decent full back today in Ricky Foster and struggled badly. His crossing is also shocking! We might have half a dozen positives right now but you still cant ignore the negatives. Happy Clappy!!
  19. David Clarkson came on for Evandor Sno yesterday for about 10mins. Don't think he is going to cut it down south and will see him back in Scotland in the next year or two at an Aberdeen/Hibs/Dundee United/Hearts. Paul Quinn came on for Kevin McNaughton after about 20mins and was booked within a few mins for "Unsporting Behaviour". McCormack started and lasted about 70mins. Hughes came on and scored for Norwich yesterday. He replaced Simon Lappin! Bobby Donnelly played for Airdrie yesterday and is seemingly doing quite well over there is a poor poor side. Grehan was sent off yesterday for a double yellow. His name seems to pop up on the scoresheet quite often. Maybe his 6 months at Motherwell have done him good! I still laugh when I look back and remember that people were calling for him to get more of a chance with us! Derek Townsley played for Annan at Albion Rovers yesterday. Jamie Ewings was also on the bench for Rovers. David Gromley also played for Rovers. Our good pal Eddie Forest was also playing with East Stirling yesterday!
  20. I abused one of our own players yesterday for being shite so you can add me to the list too!
  21. Would that be the picture of him with his shirt open and writing on it? Got it also this morning when I woke up! Get it posted!!
  22. Have to say I am rough this morning! Was a great night and I am lead to believe over £500 was raised!
  23. Gannon should have some knowledge of the Irish game and a few contacts after his time with Dundalk.
