He has been superb over the last 5-6 weeks. He is out of contract at United in June. I would expect United wouldn't be hard to deal with for the extension. He may even consider a permanent move come the summer...

Just noticed the superb away record that St Johnstone have this season. A point might not be a bad result here. I am expecting a really tight match but St Johnstone at 6/4 looks a decent bet. Edit to add that the forecast is looking like heavy rain up until around 4/5pm. Should then be looking at a dry evening. Those few hours before kick off might just get this game on.

Pretty much nailed my thoughts. The competition has been on its arse for years. They are atleasting trying something to give it a bit more value. Also bringing in a further 7 figure sum through TV exposure. Agreed with the additional point for a penalty victory. A little bit cringy and waiting for my mates south of the border to see it and give me a bit of stick...

Not really as Kmcalpin is missing 1%...

Expect Cove to progress in the tie. This is an ideal draw and a team we will easily overcome at Fir Park.

Ripley has been an average keeper since he came in. He is no-where near the Ruddy/Randolph quality but also nowhere near the Hollis, Nielson and Twardzik level either. I agree he was a little slow off his line for the 1st on Saturday but he was left completely exposed by the back line in front of him. The second was a superb strike and I wouldnt blame him at all for it. I would be happy enough with him to remain after January.

Possibly my favourite part of the Scottish Cup.

Lots of non league clubs and plenty of ties still to be settled after yesterday. Would love an away day to a non league club. Only issues is with the time of year you can end up with a repeat of Inverurie I would settle for a non SPL club and avoid Rangers/Hibs/Falkirk from the Championship.

Think everyone suggesting Ripley saved the 2nd are a bit harsh. Thought it was a screamer at the match and since seeing it again on the TV highlights, my opinion hasn't changed. Yesterday was probably the first match this season that I have enjoyed. Thought Grimshaw was excellent and without a doubt his best game in a 'Well shirt. Moult ran his socks off and looks to be building a decent partnership with McDonald (who also had his best game of the season). A point was a fair reflection on the match if not a bit frustrating after leading twice. Tough match at Firhill next week. They look to be flying right now.

Grimshaw for me. Looks to be finding his feet in the 1st team.

The world has turned soft.

Is there a team in the SPL that you don't think are physical? It is a contact sport.

Looking forward to this, however more for the day out! I see us as being harder to beat, however by doing so we really struggle to create much of note up top. Reckon we will see a 2-1 defeat here. A point would be a good result! Their home form is pretty decent.

Thought Marvin Johnson just edged it over Law. He is turning into a steady full back at this level. I also thought Pearson had another solid game in the middle of the park and his bursting runs into the box deserve a better delivery to him. Chalmers would be the only weak link at the moment. Not quite sure he will do at full back and the quicker Hammell is back the better.

Was out with a bunch of Killie fans last night after the match and they all commented about the atmosphere lacking from the 'Well support yesterday due to no drum.

Most (sensible) people said the season starts here for McGhee. As the week has progressed, I'm looking for 3 points from this match. There is very little between the sides in this league and we are more than capable of winning against a rival away from home. Skippy back in the side and a double for him today!
-
Still room for improvement if we want to win this league!

I'm sure I read he was at Troon but that was a few years ago.

Was there not a manager who said he would be pissed off if any of his players weren't active if they are on the pitch?
-
Looking forward to this one after what appears to have been a significantly improved performance yesterday. Would like to see McDonald back in the side. Killie had a good result yesterday. Will be a tough match and I reckon it will be a 1-1 draw!

Was an enjoyable evening. Well done for organising it with a good panel. The event deserved a better turnout but it never too away from what was a good night.

He has applied for the Swindon job and is currently 2nd favourite at 4/1. Like all other manager markets, this one has seen alot of movement over the last week! Unsure how this guy thinks he has a chance. He is an imposter!

Sounding like a good night. Going to pop along!

Go to the football, have a few beers and sing some songs then it is unlikely you will get much grief from stewards/police. Do the above and look to antagonise stewards then you will very likely end up getting more attention than you would like. Seen a recent example where a steward asked a lad to stop standing on a seat, lad told the steward where to go and then got all flustered when the steward asked for police back up. Seen a few instances where a small number want to push the boundaries and then complain when things escalate. I've been lifted and charged at the football. I was acting like a dick (not the first or last time). No one blame but yourself (in most cases). Long and short, have a good day out without acting like a bellend.

Some fans look for an excuse not to go back. They will find the next excuse soon enough! Pantie wetters
