  1. What are the pundits saying about Collum on the radio?
  2. I can only think its a feed off Hearts TV. I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't work, however maybe some Arab country has bought the SPL rights (God alone knows).
  3. You tried to get Scottish winter ingrained Rugby Park mud and grass out of white togs on a Monday morning before? I think its safe to say his position changed.
  4. As far as I know, home strip staying the same but changing main sponsor. Away kit is changing from White as the kitman hates it.
  5. 3-2 Well, lets not ignore a number of fringe players will be making a strong case to get in the Cup Final squad (only 4 outfield subs mind) and consequently the starting lineup. Games like this are one of 5 chances a number of them will get. Due to recent visits to John Porteous I see, Lasley, Humphrey, Saunders and Jeffers all rested. Space for Forbes, McHugh and Ross all to get starts (with Hateley pushing into midfield) I can see Page, Meechan and Gunning possibly Saunders (if fit) being involved from the bench. Casagolda selling melons and sunglasses in the stand.
  6. Did he come out with a bag or jerky and some root bear, jump in his mustang and take off up route 66?
  7. His jacket is pretty dapper, amber with a hint of blue, surprised underboyleheating hasn't used it in a design for a 125th anniversary strip ...... it would probably retail for £600 tho ..... not ideal. However, Katie Hill .... bikini .... 37 .... ideal.
  8. What cartoon was that from? It was set as an alien western from memory. I also remember it was about the time I should have been transitioning from watching cartoons to impure thoughts over the female Blue Peter presenters. Ahhh .... Katie Hill
  9. I have a contact/former colleague who works in the events/exhibitions industry, he has floorplans of all major venues in the UK, including stadia. If the plan he has is detailed enough to show each individual seat then it is possible you could spell out something inspiring or incorporate something else. Granted it would be a little more complex on the day to set out but it gives you options.
  10. Have you thought about contacting Andy Devlin at the Scottish Sun? They quite often put leaflets or promotional items in the paper such as an A2 size Scotland Road Map (or was that the Record). They own their own printing press and they were involved in the Nancy display. Issue is they will have to do something similar for the unwashed so they don't discriminate them or be accused of bias.
  11. Apologies if I'm getting this wrong, but from what I can ascertain Dee is currently looking for either (in order of what I imagine would result in the greatest cost saving): 1./ An owner of a printing or stationary company who is a Motherwell fan/some connection to the club. 2./ A Well fan who puts a huge amount of business via their day job with a printer and can act as initial intermediary and help Dee's group with the introduction. 3./ An employee of a printing or stationary company as above. Ideally a member of the sales team who can put through something at cost. 4./ Another alternative I've not covered.
  12. I just read Hughie Ferguson's page, 288 games for us over 9 years and 284 goals, phenomenal record that will never be replicated (partly due to offside rule being introduced in 1925). However the sad bit is being overlooked for Scotland and his subsequent demise and suicide.
  13. Great, well thought out and reasoned response there Mr McL.
  14. +1 I would suggest that the majority of Well fans who turn up to a game on a dreech Tuesday night in February would rather spend £600 on a few trips to Scandinavia to watch the Well in Europe than a woopsie bin classic from Cruise. Fair weather "fans" who show up only on the big occasions to uphold the honour of the club (as they see it) and do it in a packed pub full of kids, pensioners and people generally having a laugh can crawl back under the stone they emerged from. If not, take your pigeon chesting antics onto a blaise pitch or bit of waste-ground away from those who have the intelligence to distinguish between living in Scotland in the 21st century and marking out your territory in a jungle 15,000 years ago shortly before picking the ticks out of each others pubes and eating them.
  15. Maybe worth adding Fatcalf's info to the tag line Dee?
  16. Don't be surprised if the starting line up is similar to the Hearts game 10 days ago, maybe with a little more fringe players dotted here and there. Obviously things will depend on how the other results go in the lead up. It's safe to say if a win at Parkhead clinches 5th spot over Killie (and the extra £80k that goes with it) the team will be that little bit stronger. A wee bit unfair on Ross Forbes there Syd as he's the only recognised footballer. The lad has had his moments in the past few years.
  17. From looking at the steelmenonline sponsorship, there are instances where Paypal don't charge you a handling fee for sending money. I'm sure its down to your status and registration. Don't know if its worth looking into?
  18. From what I can gather it seems that if Motherwell is referenced in their own profile, then it cross-references back to this list. A number of the players listed who aren't on it won't have their own specific Wikipedia pages.
  19. I know one guy but he is a jungle. The club used to use what is now Reid Printers in Blantyre when it was called Something Litho but that was way in the past.
  20. You got any designs in mind yet? Double or single sided printing, gloss or matt, sizes, etc.? Or still in the early stages of planning?
  21. Just did a search there trying to find some notable former players, the kind people at Google directed me to the kind people at Wikipedia where I found this: Wikipedia MFC Player List Some fond memories there and some shockers I'd blanked out of my subconscious too. Thought it would be prudent to put it on the board because no doubt someone may find a use for it in the future.
  22. Courtesy of Wikipedia "Scotland (SCO): Motherwell play Celtic in the Scottish Cup final. If Motherwell win the Scottish Cup, they will enter at the 3rd Qualifying round, however if they lose, they get the lowest available place in the Europa League, which is in the 2nd Qualifying round currently reserved for the 3rd place team in the Scottish Premier League. Celtic are guaranteed finishing either 1st or 2nd in the League, therefore if Celtic win the cup, the CW spot will not be needed and will be given to the 3rd placed team in the League instead." So we win, same entry stage as Aalesund last year, if we lose and Celtic win the league, we enter at Breidablik stage. As for the dates, I guess they will probably be much the same as last summer give or take (we played our first game against Breidablik on Thursday, 15 July). However there is talk the SPL will start 2-3 weeks earlier than this season, however I don't know if that has been rubber stamped yet or planned for 2012-13.
  23. League maybe sewn up by then anyway so it could end up being a non-event of a game. Rangers are currently 1 point ahead with 32 games played, Celtic 31. If Celtic win their game in hand and win next Sunday, 5 points clear, then we put the boot in at the Ark the week after, Celtic potentially 8 points clear, 9 to play for.
  24. The quandary the club and management will face has been covered elsewhere and will no doubt come to a head leading up to the game. Incompetent SPL for arranging that fixture when we can benefit from a Celtic victory however I have never seen anyone in authority in Football admitting a mistake and doing a u-turn. If Rangers or another club wish to appeal over anything we have a legitimate claim to rest players for the following week. We can cite what happened on the last game of the season last year when Hibs went to Tannadice, an Arab win would have secured 4th for us and automatic European football, form book said it was a shoe in as Hibs were self destructing and guess what, Dundee Utd field a bunch of kids and lose, we finish 5th and rely on them to beat Ross County a week later. Did Dundee Utd. get hauled over the coals or called into a standards and ethics committee meeting? I think safe to suggest Thompson would have told them where to go if they were.
