+1 to Wellfan's post. Some of the support/posters need to take a step back and reassess what MFC actually means to a footballer trying to maximise their earnings and future career in a relatively short period of time (18-35) compared to most other jobs. The affinity and place that Well has in our lives as fans is not shared by 99.9% of professional footballers, so don't take their refusal to come and slip on the C&A shirt as a personal affront. Things aren't what they were 5 years ago and a country mile from what they were in the 90's.

OK, with a the recent exit and a plethora of potentials, I updated the first post. It's worth noting that there is a very low number of people who come on loan and are either offered something or we can adhere to their terms .... Liam Bridcutt, Adriano Pellegrino, Cody Arnoux, Anton Peterlin, Andy Dorman, Simeon Masaba, etc. and that's just in the past year.

I spoke to a family friend who has strong ties to the club and is furnished with lots of inside knowledge. He was advised on Saturday that there were 2 bounce games for this week (old news) and a variety of players were coming in to take part, from the continent (we've seen mention of some of the continental players) and Premiership. I was also told to expect a flurry of activity by Friday. I haven't heard anyone mention any starlets coming up from down south so maybe there is more to follow.

I know we've got a new manager, but the rot needs to stop at some point and for me that should be/has to be Saturday. The general feeling on here in the past month has been been pretty much doom and gloom. We need a few bits of good news to keep interest from waning. I would also suggest that any information that is relayed to the fans from the club is rigorously checked and verified so we aren't left hanging or get hit with a u-turn 24 hours later. For me the Dundee performance was flattering against what many of their fans would argue was their worst performance this season. It was also serendipitous in my opinion for McCall in the way everything clicked into place for him in terms of available players and no conflicts in selection within the starting line-up. Hamilton and Caley are teams we should be tucking away, certainly we would have 4 months ago. However I can accept 2 draws as we go through a transition, confidence and fire is reinvigorated in the players. The facts is Hibs are worse than woeful, however this mob have taken 6 points from 6 off of us so far this season. That makes me descend into a silent quivering rage. I want a display of guts and commitment, harassing the opposition off the ball and dragging them out of position when we have it. Then we have a good chance.

Diggle brought it to attention on the 13th of October, obviously after the article was written, problem for us it trying to work out when the photo fits in as the bounce game was in early August. I think you maybe right Haggis. It would appear La Buteur dug out a photo from then and used it with a current story.

Granted mate, but how many people allegedly courting interest and inviting people to bid would have also showed up at a press conference, pull on a branded sweater and get their photograph taken? I reckon (sorry hope) he must of signed something in the depths of the POD before getting to this stage. Post #2002

Surely if he's signed a pre-contract with us, we can involve some legal intervention if they go for him.
-
Best wishes Mark, thought he may have made a half-time pitch walk on, thought the club owed him that at least.

Maybe in 5 years time we'll still be functioning as a sustainable business while Killie and Hearts will be out of business. Granted, maybe not with Europa qualifiers in mid July, just East Fife pre-season friendlies. JB's fingers have been burnt once before, some would argue twice. He's a successful businessman because he learned from his mistakes and implemented changes accordingly. Not easy reading seeing the one-way traffic regarding transfers but most stuff tends to happen on the last day of the window within the last hour.

Christ's sake, here we go again. My solution to Humphrey is one I suggested about 4 weeks ago and I'm sure you read it as your regular trawls for anything construed as slightly critical, so I'm surprised at your comment. Just to remind you I suggested that he had been sussed out by the majority of our opposition now, its testament to how he performed in the first 15 games that he's was determined as probably our primary dangerman. I said going forward he now had to look at how to adapt to the added attention and his would be judged how he continued to have an impact going forward. Unfortunately at present he has hasn't stepped up to that plate and answered the questions that have resurfaced. His tactical awareness today was lacking more so than many of his team-mates in my opinion. I could dig the post out if you turn all Hugh Dallas on me and claim you never seen it, but I doubt it.

It means I was kinda supporting you to a degree, thought it was clear and self evident.

Game started off promising, we were first to every ball and some no prisoners challenges from people like Jenno and Hammell. However, the rot set in, helped in no part by the conditions. Last 30 minutes was end to end like a cup tie, however we had no killer instinct in front of goal. Front two didn't do their jobs, however Murphy showed sparks of his ability in the second half, they were below par for him. He's possibly only guilty of setting the bar very high to date. Jenno was on course for man of the match but his prominence in the game tailed off, along with the quality of his passing. I thought Forbes played OK when you consider his usage so far this season, his confidence level and the fact he runs like a goose. He may be a fine addition to a 5 man midfield, however we don't have the tools to accommodate that (well at least for two weeks). I thought Hutchison looked composed (apart) from the slip and a welcome inclusion to the team. His height and build will be invaluable against some of the bulkier attacks we will face. Still a bit of a higher pulse rate whenever Craigan is involved. However, the one major over-riding issue I have (and why I included the quote) was Humphrey. I'm not bothered about his 1 in 3 ratio of decent balls to poor ones, but his last cross when he had so much time to pick out his man and failed was woeful. I'm sorry but he needs to step up in training over the next few weeks and work on his off the ball movement and tactical awareness. He hasn't really contributed in any way since the St Johnstone game, to be fair to him, neither has most of the team, so there has been no reason for me to highlight his performances over theirs. However we played a poor Dundee in the Cup last week and pillaged them but to me he wasn't really involved. Today he was fouled and ref dished out a yellow to a Caley player, 10 seconds before he was rooted to the halfway line waiting for the ball to come to him - this was more annoying as it was the 3rd/4th time it happened. I couldn't understand this as running the line with a ball over the top is how he was getting calls for the dark blue jersey on here from some.

Amber Nectar - Look as far as I'm concerned, you're coming up with ideas, at least you're volunteering them and at least you are trying to address our chronic shortage of funds. Only thing I'd say, even when the majority on here have suggested it doesn't appeal you have to keep in mind they would be the target market. When that happens, no need to flog the idea to death. In his defence, some of the criticism of his suggestions has been over the top.

Lets not gloss over the 3,300 attendance at the Hearts game was probably factored as a 7,000/8,000 too.
-
The budget for this season was probably forecast around May last year. Pretty sure Commsworld got the sponsorship for a song this season so we're probably down in that aspect, I wouldn't be surprised if the extra we've made this year has offset where we've lost out elsewhere.

Just waiting to hear the groundsmen used weedkiller opposed to lawnfeed, the mine workings under FP have caused major subsidence and due to an accounting oversight we owe HM Revenue £1.5m.
-
Jenno, if you are reading this, if he is standing on the touchline, please please go two footed straight through him and try and hit that old dick too. You'll eclipse Colin O'Neil as a cult hero at FP.
-
It seems moral, work ethic and fight are in as much demand as new players at present.
-
Don't we already? Sure it's called a season ticket and the club uses that money for players among other things. Personally I'd rather the club and currently attending fans aim to generate additional income from any of the 4/5,000 who attended the Odense game but haven't been to FP since. You can only ask the core support to contribute so much before they reach a threshold. I'd also struggle to accept paying £10 by DDebit so some twenty-something can maintain his Audi TT payments.

Could I suggest .... I can't type his name .... lets just say Billy Davies' brother is added to your list?
