Love it! Plus interview with some ex-player all too willing to stick the knife in "I've never known things so bad" style .... Andy Walker is available and has pedigree in this field. As for tomorrow, reckon there will be a bounce from the unwashed however their defence is horrible, makes Craigan and the boys look like Baresi-esque playing catenaccio in the early 90's. The speed Humphrey and Jamie offer combined with the areal threat of Sutton and Blackman offers them many problems. I'll be watching closely to see if Humph's crosses give the strikers a chance or if they are idling and not offering support to his hard work on the wing. Jenno back in midfield running the show, its all good. I wouldn't complain with Sieb's line up or his thought process. Also gives Sutton a chance to impact the game later on and gives Forbes a chance to stake a claim to a start.

Well if you consider the three home Europa qualifiers this year over your normal pre-season friendly fare then the club has made an extra £300k in gate receipts this season. For a club of our stature and position that's not too shabby and maybe next year we'll get that little bit further. Just got to hump the unwashed from the East End of Glasgow on Sunday for the second time in a week.

Craigie is a Legend - Touchline antics report from last night The story here is why I have a lot of respect for him.

Controversial but I was a little dismayed that Murphy went AWOL for the majority of the 2nd half (same as the last 3 games I've seen at FP). In the first half he was excellent ripping that left back apart and if that lob was just a few feet to the left ..... however its the continued going off the boil that means I can't vote for him. Humphrey got some abuse so far on this thread, look 6 months ago he couldn't even dribble a ball, now look at him. I reckon by November he'll get his crossing sorted if the leaps and bounds he is coming on with so far is anything to go by. It's been claimed that his crosses were good enough, just there was no support. There is now someone who looks equally fast and tall enough to leap for a header in Blackman, as a result I hope that excuse can't be relied upon and the quality of his final ball is worked on going forward. I'm voting for Hammell, never gets the plaudits for solid service both in defence and going forward, rarely did anything wrong and his passing/crossing and support play was without question in its commitment. Difference is tonight, they had one chance and took it, we had 4 and didn't take them.

Harry Bloody Potter ruined ever wearing the colours away from the ground on matchday.

That's £150k near enough already and a few days left, there's always a rush on the last day and we get another £20k for every extra 1,000 fans showing up. With overheads taken off we're looking at £175k profit from Thursday plus Danish TV cash ... tidy little sum. Not to forget the £80k odd UEFA gives you for a win (fingers crossed) and the £850k for qualification.

+1 I must admit I cringe when I hear him opening his own canned laughter, I squirm in my seat. Other than that, typical tabloid journo, always trying to be sensationalist and get a rise out the audience. He's like a less knowledgeable Scotty McClue. He's got to make sure he's always got one or two callers sitting on hold and the majority of his views ensure there are always a few hot headed who see the red mist descending and reach for the phone to offload a rant, makes better radio after all.

the Celtic job?

Makes three of us. I would have really liked to have known if Kerkak (diminutive RB form the bounce game) was offered a deal or priced himself out of contention. For me that would solve the last few remaining problems, would offer 3 natural central defenders in Saunders, Page and Hutchinson who can compete for Reynolds place if/when he moves on and can also be groomed for Craigan's over time. Hateley would get to play in his preferred midfield position but would offer RB cover along with Saunders. Lasley seems a little off speed so far this season either down to his advancing years or loss of form, hence the numerous substitutions. For me central midfield is our concern, Jennings only committing to a 1 year deal and Lasley's age. If we could only get Forbes to run a bit more. As for the attack, I'm happy with the pace and ability that Humphrey, Blackman and Murphy offer, and the aerial threat and workrate of Sutton.

1. Rough Figures - Did this in another thread, think we're looking at £1.5m in prize money and gate receipts give or take and the TV money was debated, it could be dependant on how many Scottish teams remain or it was argued that we'd be able to secure our own TV deals. Guestimating, but we may reach a much as £3m if we agree to time changes for foreign broadcasters, that is if the footballing gods smile upon us on Thursday. 2. I don't know however I'd think it should reset after 90 minutes. No aggregate in extra time just we have the benefit as we came out the hat second, them is the breaks.

Over 60 years in management selecting players between them and 90 in football in total is quite a pedigree, I'm inclined to agree.

Affirm If we can't fill all available seats in the POD, Cooper, East and South Lower with Well fans in our biggest game (and easily the biggest payday ever) since the 2005 Cup Final, leaving Odense to a corner of the POD or top of South, then I don't know ...... The tie is balanced, we are a slight underdog but only just. Home advantage and Hateley's away goal ensures that the atmosphere will be electric on Thursday.

They really do remove your humour genes at Tulliallan, I thought it was a myth. Bit of banter, no need to get your knickers in a twist or sport a pouted lip there Dibble.
-
He's a winger, he's fast and I reckon he'll punt your boyfriend Humphrey onto the subs bench ..... cue the CAPS LOCK injected rant. He's actually a Striker but in the past few years has moved more into a Creative Midfielder role - Good with Falkirk, Rangers saw promise, Dodgy with Hibs, on the physio's bench more than his own bed.

A multi-year deal for Fraser hasn't really worked out well. For a youth/young player who has potential I see the sense, in a injury prone guy with something to prove I think its prudent in this case, that is if its true.

If things go well on Thursday evening then I envisage Jack and Victor will have a number of post-it notes left on their desks from interested players/agents who would jump at the chance to get regular TV exposure from European football. I also reckon many of these players may have been considered by many Well fans as out our league both in terms of ability, profile and cost. I'd hold off at present just to see how the land lies on Friday morning. As for Gow, all three teams will be there or there about in terms of what he can be offered weekly, however I would have thought we offered more in terms of win bonuses

From memory an Icelandic former colleague of mine said that their biggest rivalry was with Denmark due to it being a former colony/administrative region. Is that true? If so, we'll welcome the extra support for Thursday.

Aye very good Diggle, never let a "in the Man Utd. vs Newcastle game" get int the way of a google image search. Odense_BK, did you see the rating in the paper that were mentioned earlier in this thread? Based on what you wrote I'm guessing you don't agree with the points awarded to either teams players?

+1 but I'd go for a right back rather than a left midfielder as I'd be more inclined to play Sutton there going forward as his bulk and aerial presence is useful. I'd be interested to know if there is any option on Blackman written into his loan or he is merely being farmed out to get 1st team football while certainly being in Blackburn's future plans. If Reynolds is leaving before the deadline and talk of Hutchison going out on loan then the right back is a necessity as Saunders will probably move to centre half. I quite like the idea of Hammell and that Kerkak playing as wingbacks but I think I'd want Hateley to sit just in-front of the centre-backs. The midfield need to be shown a video of the Man Utd vs Newcastle game on Monday and instructed to watch Scholes as to how they should conduct themselves in the games ahead. Forbes has a start next week you'd think so has a good opportunity for the first time in a while to peg out a claim and live up to what he showed at the start of last season. I wonder what Craigan would have said if he was summarising for the BBC on his brain fart during the second goal. What is it with the Claret and Amber and refs not giving us the 50-50's, or even the 95-5's in 3 good penalty claims we've had - its getting a bit boring from two McGoo's in the 5 days.
-
Don't you hate it when that happens ........
-
I thought we were meant to be the 40 in a 60-40 split, we're running the show for God's sake. Craigan .... any reason you didn't feel the need to tackle there? Jesus wept.
-
Humph: you've got to pull the trigger when you get the opportunity
-
To be fair to Randolph I think he was expecting a sidefoot shot from the striker. Saunders let him get goal-side though not ideal.
-
You're not getting one, just a £20 ticket. Based on that logic you'd get handed a week in the Algarve for buying petrol. If you go abroad UEFA rules state you have to give you passport details when buying your ticket. Therefore the club would have them for each game no doubt filed away. Look, I know its a bit early but I had an idea and if nothing else on the discussion board its created a debate.

On reflection I'd leave Sutton in the starting line-up in left midfield bringing Blackman on for him or Murphy as and when required. As you point out he has played in the left mid position adequately in the past. He will definitely start no doubt about that. Benefit is Blackman will be an unknown quantity for them as much as us and he'll be up against tired legs.
