  1. I was refering to Boyle, especially as he is the employer
  2. He called Leeann a lassie ...... should be interesting tomorrow morning. Bit unsure why Boyle hasn't offered him a contract for at least a year. How does it benefit him not to have something in paper.
  3. I think as been discussed/proposed earlier: Lukas - single guy, no ties, starting out, strong friendship with Jennings, finished season on a high. Ruddy - Wife/Child in Cambridge, wants 1st team football, ideally commutable from home. There are different issues for bringing them both. It was suggested that for it to work financially would need a healthy sell on clause to Everton and a sizeable signing bonus to offset wage structure. Has anyone ever heard of a player negotiating or receiving a sell on clause in addition to their previous club? That way they have an extra incentive to up their game during their spell with you. i.e. Everton 20%, Lukas 10%, sells for £1m £200k to Everton £100k into Lukas' hippy £700k to Well (offset salary and initial fee, £300k up)
  4. When the final whistle goes do we all put our car keys in the half-time raffle tombola to see who takes him home?
  5. First - Forest, can't see anything happening their, its well documented that Davies felt hard done to by Boyle and will spill all when he ends his career. 2nd - OK, £500k for the pair, but then you still have to sort out the elephant in the room that's their wage drop to keep things in line with the rest of the squad. Only thing to get round that is a fat signing bonus. I didn't really have Craigie as the sort of guy to discuss things like that so openly. 3rd - I would suggest that when the budgeting for 2009/10 was done last summer, with the lack of manager, squad depleted and pitch repairs and expected final league position the figure would have not made pretty reading, however where we are now is well above this amount even if you take the Celtic FP game post split into account. I reckon this is because an 8th of 9th place position was probably used as the datum and therefore bottom 6 and approximate revenues used as a result. It would probably been revised at the mid point when we were sitting top 6 and 3rd/4th a possibility to include an extra OF home game and increased TV money from our higher profile and prize money from our league position. OK, so we ended up £150-200k down from losing Celtic and the rescheduled for TV Hibs and Dundee Utd fixtures. But we gained in a little extra Sky money and I reckon £300k extra in SPL prize money than we expected (based on 4 places higher). So we are down possibly on the mid season prediction but up quite a bit on last summers forecast.

Love them both, only thing I'd change is stripey Claret, Amber and White socks on the home strip, more retro. I wonder if anyone associated with the club has or will ever direct those at Puma to threads such as this to see what has been designed and the comments associated either backing them up or advocating changes. i.e. Puma kits generally OK, not too happy with the odd collar they use of some strips.
  7. Andy Dorman added to post #1 down to Well Well and his mates.
  8. I've noticed some queery the Juke's motives and if what he's telling the press is political. I think a lot of the chat from the Duke is no doubt prompted by the fact Jennings has resigned, they appear to be good mates, live together and are in Las Vegas on holiday together. I genuinely think he can see benefit in a career here in the short term. I think Europe is a factor (however a relatively minor one) and the fact the SPL is covered by Sky so at least he gets chance around 10x per season to get put in the shop window. Let's also not overlook the camaraderie of the dressing room. With a full and productive season of good form and a fully healed knee behind him with sky high moral I don't even want to contemplate how effective and devastating he'd be next season if the sun shined on us.
  9. Based on today's news regarding Jennings, updated the first post and added extra info (decided to take advice in the end otherwise it could get confusing). Also decided to add a "Rumoured" list to see how many actually come to fruition over the course of the summer. I'll add names to it when requested, if I hear from 3+ sources or there is a report in the press (national or local). The Jim Gannon Memorial Trophy Is an award I'm proposing just for fun in this thread to recognise outstanding achievement in scouting and recognising footballing talent (Moutaouakil) If a player is nominated and they sign for the club then that person will receive 5 points in the inaugural Jim Gannon Memorial Trophy. 2 points if they are mentioned in conjunction with us and decide to go elsewhere, -1 for erroneous nonsense. Open to other suggestions for scoring. Leaderboard 14/05/2010: Evening Times ........ +5
  10. Did your warder forget to give you raw meat at breakfast?
  11. is Coke moonlighting? Dock his pay!
  12. Just to reassert my position, I merely was asking flow to advise when we could expect a photo or mock up of the design. Upon reviewing it again I admit that wasn't 100% clear especially when combined with some of the posts surrounding it covering colour issues. "confirm" wasn't used by anyone leading up to bop's post which is also misleading. Off to sit in a darkened room.
  13. Not going to have an IN's OUT's and KEEPER's list, we're not dealing with Panini cards or top trumps here.
  14. Apologies I should have elabourated for those anal types. Flow .... would you care to share when we can expect either photos or a graphic design of the 2010-11 strips please. No need to confirm the club colours.
  15. In ..... the squad ..... for 2010-11 ..... Nice try fanny mohawk!

  17. Flow .... care to illuminate us
  18. Watched football focus a few weeks back where they went to Newcastle and spoke to the groundsman there. They had won awards despite the huge 3 tier stand going round half the pitch. He explained part of the reason the pitch didn't cut up was the use of macerated elastic bands among the topsoil. We're using what ..... fibersand. My mind keeps on going back to the camera behind the away dugout showing Hateley cartwheeling into the advertising hording back in February.
  19. Doubt, I reckon Jock's legacy has kyboshed that as silly nonsense talk.
  20. Are Hearts the next Greece? Out of the current SPL is there a list of who's most financially stable? Ricky you must have a excel spreadsheet somewhere. Guessing Killie is near the bottom. Both Hearts and Hibs must have at least their real estate holdings in their assets so that will offset things to a degree. Rangers woes are well documented too.
  21. How spiffing ...... what what! How was the wicket turning? I trust you both had a jolly good time and enjoyed your cream tea.
  22. How are Hearts allowed to throw the cash about when it was reported their debt was over £30 million last week. Is nobody there saying, "wooooahhhh lets chill out a bit"?
  23. Ricky, is your middle name "Reuters"? You have better news gathering ability and sources compared to them.
  24. I thought the 2nd round was done on a geographic basis to save teams travelling too far, ie according to the above we could end up in Georgia. However it looks like the visit to Wales was more luck than anything else.
