Cant understand the negativety on here about this game after a fine win against a decent Caley side. Saints got humpedon saturday and im confident that with Humpries on fire we:ll gubb them too.
Ho ho i remember saying too how pish Townsley was just as he curled one into our net from a 25 yard free-kick playing for Hibs and then running the full length of the East Stand to celebrate. Good job i can laugh at it now....
Fab win and time had in the Highlands. Me n ma Mrs drove up friday night stayed till sunday and enjoyed another fine away win. By feck it was squeeky bum time last 10 or so in a game we should've had well sewn up but a win is a win. Only downside is Charlton gubbed ma coupon for £236. That would've paid for the trip. AAARGH!!!
Humpries for me. Set up umpteen chances which we failed to take with Blackman and Sutton the main culprits. Diddy of the match is between Forbes and a mistake ridden Saunders who edges it for me. Everytime the ball goes his way my hearts in my mouth.
Just looked into ma crystal ball and here's what's going to happen....Reynolds offski for 250 grand. Fitzpatrick and yes Forbes offski. Blackman and Gow staying for the season and one midfielder brought in and it wont be Brian Kerr whose pants. . Page and Hutchie breaking through also.
Yes looking forward already to next sat me and ma Mrs going and staying overnight. Lots of good pubs in Inverness and hopefully the mighty Well will take our anger about sats ref out on Caley and get us a good away win. We're STILL 3rd and hopefully be there after saturday. Bring it on!!
Not a great game but FAB win which was all so important for us financially as well as keeping a so far good season on the boil. We missed Lasley and Murphy big time as Hately who must surely have made the right back position his own unfortunately isn't really a midfielder although he did ok. So a good night and hopefully a good season. The Scotland fan in me wants Levein and Houston OUT! By the way.
Yep hope Lasley's fit for tuesday as he and Jennings are fab in midfield and i like Hately at right back and the excellent Stevie Hammell(are you watching Craig Levein)at left back supporting Gow Humpries and Blackman. Yes this could be a fab season for us. . Im gonna do a rendition of the Hills are alive now. .
Still chuckling at MJC'S post. . He might not be far off mind you. We haven't really been playing all that well recently and i cant see us winning both of these games. A draw on sat and any kond of win on tuesday and i'll be delighted. But knowing Motherwell.....
Yep hope he gets his move. Shame he was so pants latter part of last season(mind the 6 Hibs goals) .Or we would've sold him by now for a decent sum. As it is 250 grand will do as he'd leave for nowt in the summer. Im not a big fan of his and believe Page or Hutchie if or when he gets fit will be good replacements.
Lost interest?? Feckin hell! There is something fishy about this whole scenario. He's not kicked a ball for us for over a year which must go down as the longest injury EVER! The silence from MFC on this is defeaning so please Flow or anyone who can let us know when or indeed IF he'll play again for us as he did seem a good prospect.
Yes gey well soon Stevie..Was in the South stand hospitality last season for the Falkirk game and he came in for a chat...A nice guy and a Well legend.
Not as ideal a candidate as wee Chesney when he gets the boot fae Middlesboro in 2 weeks time. Craig Brown and Archie Knox are going nowhere folks calm down everybody. . Cant stand Ewan Cameron or his Old Firm- Hibs-Hearts show.
Im delighted with the 3 points but for long spells not the performance. We definately improved when Sutton went off and Gow came on im not a big fan of Sutton and hopefully with the 2 week break we can get him up to speed. Still mustn't grumble we're toddling along nicely in 3rd. .
Yes Jamie's came on leaps and bounds this season and if he gets a consistency about his game and broadens out a bit he's going to be a cracking player and hopefully we can cash in on him as he moves on in 2 seasons. Everyone's a winner .
Really poor 90 mins. Some right gumf performances ie John Sutton and Young Saunders has still along way to go. Showed how much we missed Hammell as left sided outlet and im not blaming Hately who did ok but i'd prefer him at right back with Hammell and Forbes on the left flank feeding Murphy and WHERE'S THE SPANIARD???. Yes not a good game but have seen these type of games before with Aberdeen and we end up getting beat...Remember Mulgrew's 88th min winner 2 seasons ago. . So at least we got a point but MASSIVE improvement required next week at Tynie or we'll get humped.
My vote goes to Keith Lasley. Really put himself about and consistent throughout the 90 mins. Diddy of the match goes to John Sutton(surely time to give Forbes a runout).
Couldn't make it today but a FAB away win. Once we get Gow up and running and Humphries crossing short of the car park we'll have a good season. Bring on the Dons who couldn't keep weans out a close today at Tannadichie. .
The phrase...Lets move on has NEVER been more appropriate. If i hear on these threads Mark Reynolds for Scotland again.... . Levein is the Scotland manager so lets get behind him. To bring up incidents in games 20 years ago....Honestly!!!!
