The whole point is that it would be for people who don't currently have a season ticket. If no one takes up the offer, the club sells the tickets as normal. I don't see where the loss could come from The amount of early bird season tickets affect the club's budget for the upcoming season also, as far as I know.

That's the point. Say £370 cash in hand for a Main Stand season ticket versus £25 for a one off ticket? Bear in mind any of these people eligible would be either completely new season ticket holders or lapsed ones, so the money made would pay for the ticket 14x over. Plus I would've thought that the club would get a bulk deal on buying tickets en masse for corporate/comp purposes, so could just lump it in with that lot? Realistically you're talking a max of 2-300 people so you're talking a £7,500 outlay for an £81,000 return* *that's if 300 took the offer and everyone plumped for the cheapest season ticket in the east stand. Bob's yer uncle, that's a top paid player's wage paid for if that player is on £1500 a week.

I think my decision to get a season ticket next season very much depends on the outcome of this SPL Summit meeting at the start of may. Do the club do some kind of finance deal on the season ticket? Direct Debit or the like? I would fully expect the club to announce season ticket renewals either this week or next. How's about a deal whereby if you buy a new season ticket before the cup final we chuck in a free ticket for the final?
