I won't be too harsh on the club over this. I think it's worth waiting a while until 'Flow/LD/Boyle/Whoever sheds some light on the actual events that took place then we can form an opinion from there. Obviously my opinion and that of just about everyone else is always formed by what we hear and read, and we haven't heard much from the club yet. So I'm looking forward to hearing in a bit more detail how these events transpired and how the club view it.

I think that no matter the circumstances, our management team and any other asset of the club should ALWAYS be on contract. After the decent start to the season we had I would've had them both in and told them that the deal was, if they wanted a job, they sign on the dotted line. This gentlemen's agreement malarky doesn't wash with me. Football is a business ffs. Motherwell have either been incredibly naive or incredibly stupid in this instance - and either way, we've all had our fingers burnt as a result. Don't get me wrong, I'm pissed off at Broon and Knoxy too, but this should never have been allowed to happen.

Problem is we don't have an assistant manager to take over while we search for a new boss, so it's left to Young and can't be the easiest situation for him to be in. We need to get this sorted out asap. Hopefully the weather turns really bad and the next couple of games are off meaning we can get our new management team in before we've even had to kick a ball.
