The fact is, if it were any other club, direct re-admission would not even be mentioned. Rangers may be bigger, but they are just another member club. We've already had people who should be remaining impartial -regan etc- saying it would be a disaster. A lesser tv deal, maybe, but we would cone out of it with integrity intact. We need to get away from over reliance on tv deals etc anyway. Short term pain, long term gain. I would find it morally difficult to go back to an SPL game if they walk straight back in. What would be the point, it would be even clearer that there is a disparity between the status/importance of the member clubs.

If the commentators looked at the SPL fouls to yellows ratio they might clamp it a bit.

Also, and possibly more importantly given the situation... If Rangers do qualify for Europe, and subsequently "lose" their license, by going into admin etc. They would then be subject to a 3 year European ban(I think). As someone said, its discussed in another thread, with Real Mallorca/Villareal situation being cited as an example of a license being revoked. Edit: 3 years may be pish... depends on UEFA, but certainly a ban of some sort.

As much as I like to see youngsters coming through, there are a few who have been here a while who are clearly not going to get in the team. Better for both parties to release them, let them develop elsewhere and free up cash than having a perpetual benchwarmer.

I had club Europe hospitality a few seasons ago via someone from work. Drank their free beer, eat their free food then watched us equalize (Skippy I think?) late on. A bit of abuse from the club deck when I let out a large cheer. Fun though.
