3-0 they are pish & before anyone says they are doing well in the league just remember they have only played the shitey teams & yes Utd are shite this year.
-
Lets not forget that Clyde put Celtic out the cup not too long ago just to emphasise the need for a professional approach. Thats why like i said before start with the strongest 11 we have then if/when the game is won bring on the fringe players for game time. This approach not only gives us the best chance of winning this tie it also serves as a confidence boost to the players involved in the weekend defeat.
-
He's playing up front with a guy that cannae cross the road & another guy that disappears so often he would make Houdini look amatuer. The way Humphrey & Murphy are playing they would make any striker look mince.
-
I thought they were called h**s coz they rampage and pillage everywhere they go in true attila fashion.
-
sorry mate but can't let you get all the glory. Maybe for a case of pure blonde i might let you get in first next time
-
I would start with our strongest 11 in the hope we can get a couple of goals to re-install confidence after the yesterdays pumping. If we go 2 up then id bring the fringe players on. As McCall said it's good to have a game quickly to get a defeat out your system so the 11 on the field yesterday are the ones who need to get it out their system before going to Dunfermline for a match we really should be winning if we have ambitions for Euro qualifying.

Passing football is fantastic & should be encouraged as a necessity however when you have a chance to play an incisive through ball or have a strike at goal but instead pass it backwards or sideways then that's when it becomes tippy tappy pish. Loved the passing & movement for the Murphy disallowed goal but can't help thinking the guy who passed it to Murphy had a clear shot at goal and this may have been the better option. One pass too many? Dunno but it would appear we are working on corners on the training ground now if only we could do a bit of work on defending corners & explain giving their best player countless free headers is not the best idea.
-
The only reason we had more of the ball is because after the first goal they already had the game won. They just had to sit back watch us tippy tappy about then when we give them the ball they counter attack. I honestly don't think Rangers broke sweat in that game and if they really wanted to they could easily have scored more. Don't understand why Higdon & Humphrey get so much stick but Murphy always gets a pass. Apart from ICT Murphy hasn't kicked a ball all season but seems immune from criticism. Maybe the biggest surprise of all is that some people on here are actually surprised that we lost. Said it before that no matter how well we are playing when it comes to Rangers we are like a deer caught in headlights & forget how to play football. Delighted with our league position but don't foreget there are a few teams below us with a game in hand which can take them level with us or above us.

Wonder if we will ever see a striker of Coyne's quality in a Well shirt again. He was always a joy to watch.

Don't have a problem with loan players as long as they strengthen the squad but what happened to the money we supposedly had to sign a player? Bit worrying when we have a pretty good money making season and the budget still gets cut to the extent that money we had for a signing has been taken off the table. Just as an aside to loanees did i hear right that the English teams have to cut their playing squad to 25 but only on the last day of the transfer window? What chance do the cut players have of finding a club when they only find out they are cut right before the window closes.
-
Your having a laugh there aren't you? We are playing the old firm & the masonic half of the old firm at that. The day we get refereeing decisions against Rangers is the day that Satan skates to work.
-
According to some he would be getting splinters from bench sitting.
-
A chance to sit on the bench against West Ham, Blackpool, Leicester or a chance to sit on the bench against Dunfermline, St.Mirren, St Johnstone. Yep im sure that's a really hard one for Clarky to work out. Such a dilema im sure.
-
Doesn't matter how weary their legs are if Humphrey is gonna go on a run & leave the ball behind or do his crosses in to row z. And we've heard it all before about how we are playing really well & they are playing shit & now is a great time to play them etc etc etc. But we still always end up receiving a right good rogering & i can't see it being any different this time.
-
I think the one certainty from this game is that win lose or draw there will be people queing up on here after the game to say how pish the ref was.
-
Why can't you let journalists get on with their job of reporting? Just coz you don't like what they write doesn't change the fact that these stories appeal to the Old Firm fans who would make up the majority of their readers. So they are writing stories that will sell papers and therefore doing their job well. And although often just lazy like coping a story from the official site to the Old Firm fans that story would be seen as a scoop because i very much doubt many of them ever visit the Motherwell official site.

Going to be a very repeating thread as the vast majority of people who were around in '91 are going to say something related to that. So just to be different i'll go with big Kirky blasting the ball full pelt into the Rangers dug out at Fir park. Old Wally wasn't to happy with that
-
A Fir Tree Fanny might just bring in more punters
-
Not too bothered about this game coz im sure our players will do their usual when the blue scum run on the park and just freeze like a rabbit caught in headlights. I swear when we play rangers you would think our team had never played football before. Im more interested in how the team will react the following week. In fear of sounding like old broon i think you can tell more about your team going by their reaction to a defeat. Hope to God im wrong but i can't see this being any different to any other game against rangers.
-
Aberdeen & St Johnstone still no scored a goal yet. Get your money on a 0-0 when they play each other
-
Anyone have a squad list for last season? Was sent a signed top & as usual you can't read the signatures but each signature has a squad number beside it. The only 2 names i can make out are Brown & Knox
-
With the current squad we could finish third but it's unrealistic to think the current squad will be available for the whole season. Lasley is suspended after just 3 games & Higdon missed the second game with an injury so even assuming we don't lose players in the transfer window we will be struggling with injuries, suspensions and loss of form over the season. To be honest our bench is piss poor and that will be our downfall. And before anyone gets carried away just rember that even if we beat St.Mirren it's odds on that we will get our usual pumping from Rangers no matter how well we are playing & how bad they are.
-
Didn't he retire years ago? My question would be are St Mirren really as good as people are making them out to be? They got a point at Utd but then Utd are pretty shite this year. Other than that they drew with Dunfermline & beat the Sheep & as far as i can make out that's 2 points dropped as anyone would be disappointed at not taking full points from at home to the Sheep & anywhere against Dunfermline.

Actually i replied to that little gem the day after you wrote it but hey maybe you were on the Rangers forum that day. Im also a little surprised how all of a sudden it's fine to say Jeffers wasn't the answer but back in June it was off to the bad fire with you for daring to mention such things. "my campaign" that he was unfit and in poor form proved to be correct but i bow to your superior knowledge of Australian football and i will listen intently to your input when Motherwell are next linked with a player playing in Australia.

If you had a standing section then it would probably be full to bursting mostly with people keen on making an atmosphere. This would result in making the seating sections even more of a ghost town which for me would make the atmosphere at the ground even worse than it is now.
