Dunno about Victoria but here in Queensland all the TAB's offer odds on all the fitba games although it usually takes a while to fight your way onto a machine with everyone betting on the gee gees.

Think they lost every game in the group stages but they still gave us a right royal rogering. I think we will get through the first 2 qualifying rounds then in the 3rd round will get another Buharest like team & fall at the final qualifying hurdle again. But a lot depends on the luck of the draw & a little bit of luck on the park so who knows maybe this is our year to make the group stages. TBH im more worried about the first qualifyer than the second as our lack of match sharpness could easily result in another Mypa disaster.

I noticed Hibs pumped Dunfermline 4-0 yet we've had 3 pre season games had no clean sheets & not even nearly pumped anyone. And it has to be said Dunfermline are far better quality than the teams we played. I know it's only pre season & we are building up for a Euro tie but so its the same for Hibs & they can still put on a performance. Even if we do manage to win our Euro tie (by no means a certainty) i fear come the first game of the season we will really struggle to beat Hibs unless we can add a new striker.

Don't know why anyone is surprised at this. There was always gonna be an opening game moved to Sunday for TV & with the mould firm playing Inverness & Killie our game is the most attractive fixture on the card especailly after what happened in our last match with Hibs. Hope it's a boring 1-0 to the Well just to piss everyone off

Shane Smeltz from New Zealand worth a punt? Been the top scorer in the A league for last two years & is a class above most others from that league. He's also desperate for a move to Europe. Having seen him play all last season id be happy to see him given a trial. Agree with others though that all the strikers & midfielders in the world won't do us any good if we can't get a decent keeper signed up.

Their striker (no.10) has already scored 5 goals this season & they have a midfielder (no.7) who's bagged 4 already. Looks like they could be the 2 too watch out for & they are only 21 & 20 so probably fast as fuck. On a brighter note their other 2 strikers have only scored 1 apiece this season. Don't wanna disappoint you but it rains every Christmas day in Oz so beach BBQ's are a bit of a myth. Happy that our first few fixtures alternate between home & away instead of a run one way or another although would prefer our first opposition to be someone who's rusty as opposed to Hibs who will be as 'fit' as we will be. IMO the reason we got off to a good start last year was due to the fact we had competitive games under our belt & the other teams were just coming off their holidays. Utd just before the split could be a six pointer so reckon they will be more disappointed with that than us as we are at home.

Seems when doing the fixtures there's a Fixtures Working Group who provide their recommendations. This group comprises of Rangers. Celtic, Hearts, Hibs & Killie. Now is it just me or with the exception of Rangers weren't all these teams very happy with their post split fixtures? Conspiracy? There is no conspiracy

The away top looks good just now coz it's brilliant white but what happens after a few washes & it ends up off white? Will look like a pair of old y's then. And God forgive if the kitman accedentily throws the home shorts in the wash with the away top we'd end up with pink tops But overal they could've been a lot worse.

If Fraser buggers off to Pingu Utd we get another keeper (according to reports possibly Ruddy on another loan deal) but if Fraser stays then these 2 muppets will be our keepers this season. According to Brown the Airdrie boy is a quality keeper but if Airdire fans are to be believed then he's a piece of pish & Brown's showing is age & maybe needs a wee trip to Optical Express. All fair minded fans will say let's give the boy a chance but as Fraser found out Motherwell fans can be very unforgiving. Well im going to assume Brown knows what he's doing and it will all work out for the best.
