Reckon we need a really good centre half to replace Reynolds. Someone with pace to make up for Craigan's lack of it. Very concerned with the amount of goals we shipped at the end of the season and that was when we had a class keeper to. Strange for a Craig Brown team to leak so many goals.

I remember way back in the eighties there used to be a team song that got played at each game. It was just a typical fitba team song but it was a Motherwell team song. I remember it was a pile of pants but would love to hear it again for old times sake so does anyone remember what it was called or if it's available anywhere? And if anyone has a copy of it is there anychance of sticking it on youtube or something?
-
How about we wait & see if we are actually gonna be in the Europa League before we start creaming our pants
-
Why don't we go for Ronaldo or Kaka? Oh wait a minute it's Motherwell so that means that: Players out: Anyone that attracts the interest of another club Players in: A couple of English boys no one has ever heard of END OF

So to get a top quality pitch we just need to go down to the newsagent & buy some big bags of elastic bands & chuck em on the pitch? Smashing idea that will save JB loads of cash & he can even use the spare bands to wrap around the wads of cash he's gonna hand over to buy some quality players. Good pitch, good players watch oot mould firm here we come & all it takes is elastic bands.

Is yon video no the gayest thing you ever seen especially the bit with the hankies. Bet those boys do their best to get sent to prison so they can get a good rogering every night from big hairy baws baxter.
-
Trust you chaps had a lovely high tea with jam & cream on your scones. I say Giles there's another seagull landed on the pitch that makes it 23 to me and only 21 to you. Can't wait to the morris dancers start appearing on here claiming it's a great past time.

Could be worse here in Oz when the fitba season finishes the cricket seasons starts FFS every match of this piece of pish boring rancid poofy fucking 'sport' is shown on the major tv channels. Id rather buy an Airdrie season ticket than watch cricket...........well maybe no

Pretty sure that squad your talking about was for a B international although Brian Martin did play in the Kirin Cup & also pretty sure Lambert only got picked after he played for Dortmund but not sure about that. But like i said unless it was a B international Motherwell players were generally avoided like the plague when Broon was picking the squads.
-
Broon may be a Motherwell man but when he was Scotland manager he had a funny way of showing it. Distinctly remember him always overlooking Motherwell players unless it was a B international. At the time we had players who were more than capable of doing a job for Scotland & as usual as soon as any of them left 'Well for a 'bigger' team they went straight into the next Scotland squad

Craig Brown on the official website. “We have said ‘thank you and goodbye’ to Ruddy, Jutkiewicz, O’Brien and McGlinchey – but we still have a good squad of players like Craigan, Saunders, Hammell and Jennings in midfield as well as talents like Sutton and Murphy and we can be confident if we can get some more players in”

Utd & Hibs are the teams that finished ahead of us in the race for Europe. Both these teams had a much longer close season than 'Well. I honestly think that had our squad not been so jaded & had the same close season break as these teams we would have blown Hibs out the water & gave Utd a real fight for third. So we were unlucky to finish fifth but it's done now & Utd done the sensible thing by resting players & if we complain about that then we are just Celtic with different coloured strips.
-
The players were really jaded the last few games coz the season started so early for them. So another early start to the season with such a paper thin squad could really stuff us up in the later stages of next season. Is European football worth risking a knackered squad that could be in a relegation fight? I think so coz the players deserve to be in Europe for the effort they put in this season but it could come back to bite us in the arse.
-
lmfao The thread is called never been so proud and it's all about how sections of the support are wankers.
-
Why is a game that means nothing at all to Motherwell considered a "classic"? Oh thats right we beat Celtic hence why the game meant much more to Rangers than it did to us therefore would be more at place on a Rangers forum.
-
Which is better? A game that seen the greatest comback in modern football, provided excellent entertainment to ALL fans and put us a point closer to Europe. OR a game that won Rangers the league & meant fuck all to Motherwell. Are you seriously asking this question? Would expect to see a question like this on a Rangers forum

Although this was possibly the best comeback EVER in football am i the only one who thinks losing 6 goals to a pish poor Hibs team is very emabarassing? If the defence plays like that at Ibrox i fear a Bon Accord scoreline.
-
A quote from the official website: What is all the more incredible is that he scored the goal while carrying his persistent knee injury. In fact the player himself admitted with five minutes to go he was ‘too knackered’ to take ‘Well’s penalty, but he soldiered on to become the late hero.

Dundee Utd reserves with nothing to play for against Hibs just needing a point does anyone think they won't get at least a point? Looks like we all gotta get the tea towels oot & turn into arabs for the cup final.
-
As happy as we all are the Hibs fans will be totally gutted ha ha cocks

How many of this seasons signings had you heard of before they signed? It's the Motherwell way to troll the lower leagues in England and sign unknowns. Some work out & some don't but IMO any signings we make will be players we've never heard of.

Seems to be a bit of debate about wether or not ST holders save money over the PATG fans but is there such a thing as a PATG punter who goes to every home game? IMO the people who PATG tend to pick & choose which home games to attend depending of finances, work commitments and so on. Whereas if your a ST holder you hate missing a game because you already paid for it. I realise that there are people who try and go to every game and don't have a ST because they couldn't afford the initial outlay but on a Tuesday night when it's pishing down how much easier is it to miss a game against Falkirk when you PATG. Just an opinion but i'd be interested to find out how many fans on here PATG and attend every home game.
-
Before the last game your gonnae get all the crap from the Utd camp that players are playing for a cup final starting place but the truth is they will rest their key players & the ones who do play will be fairying around just trying to get through the 90mins without picking up an injury that could make them miss the final. If Hibs don't take anything from that game then they are even worse than they look. Im afraid im shitting myself about Wednesday anything less than a win & we will need to rely on Utd doing us a favour in the cup final.
-
The worst thing about this result is that it's fucked our goal difference. If we draw on Wednesday and lose at Ibrox which is a real possibility then Hibs only need to draw their last game to finish fourth on goal difference. I believe their last game is at home to Dundee Utd who will have one eye if not two on the cup final so at least a point against them is more than likely.

Damn you must've thought these teams were really shit compared to us seeing as we only had about 5 first team players in the close season
