Losing by such massive margins can't do anything for the confidence of the team aswell, I'd argue thats maybe the biggest problem. The OF are miles a head of the rest in terms of quality, and we should get beat soundly every time we play them. On the issue of context, surely the banner was clearly not intended as "we got the law and he hates protestants" but rather Rangers fans. I've never thought h*n and tim were commonly viewed as sectarian, just terms used for old firm fans, much like sheep shagger and the like.

And the term "tippy tappy pish" is pish in itself. It's just used to describe decent passing football if we don't win. The reason we lost wasn't because we passed the ball too much it's cos we left ridiculous big holes in the back line while we tried to play some decent football.

Honestly didn't think we were half as bad as some are making out. We were undone by the mental tactic of playing so high up the field that we left gaping holes in our back line all too often. This and the fact they have players who can strike a ball, and we don't really.. Some of our football was really good to watch though (in the first half at least), the wee routine for Murphy's disallowed goal was nice. Overall good points, I'm glad we're actually trying to play football, atmosphere was good, n thought Humphrey had actually improved on previous performances too. Bad points, our tactics were shite, we got pumped..again.

Thing is though, it's not like he's outgrown the SPL. I still think he's got a fair bit to go before he could handle the premiership.. He's still pretty weak and his shooting is often quite poor. I think he'd get stifled in the EPL. If he moved right now that is.

Have to agree, as much as goodwillie's a right knob, he's currently the better player. However, if utd get 2m for goodwillie, i'd say 1m for murphy is fair in comparison. Not how it works though is it..

People talk about the sale of the land to 'part fund' a new stadium, as if we're goni get a nice new stadium basically for free. A half decent stadium move will cost at least as much as doing up fir park. I'd be gutted if we moved, and only accept it if we were all shown a plan of the new ground beforehand, as i think there would be a very slim chance of getting anything more than a flatpack metal box.

Got my ST renewal letter today and the anniversary strip design is in it. Basic claret and amber band retro top with the wee MFC logo with 125 years under it. Looks quite nice I think!
