Well I suppose we don't have the figures to make a judgement. But I'm fairly confident that TV and sponsorship money are hugely significant, and greatly reducing them would jeapordise our ability to fulfill contracts nevermind offer new ones.

Those leagues, in general, have a number of big clubs that attract TV and sponsorship and the like, ours is far more reliant on two teams. I'm sure, proportionately, us losing the 'old firm attraction' would be like those leagues losing a number of big teams in one go, and surely you couldn't say they should be prepared for that. What revenues are bigger than TV, sponsorship and Rangers ticket sales then?

Rangers, TV and sponsorship would make up a very large portion of our revenue I dare say.

No one is saying they shouldn't be punished though, so aren't condoning anything, just that there are more fair and reasonable forms that punishment can take.

I think there's a lot of moral idealism going on here. It's ridiculous to say clubs shouldn't be reliant on a main revenue stream. You can't say a business deserves to go under because their main revenue stream suddenly pulls out.

No it shouldn't. There are no rules set out for a newco situationm so it's only common sense to make a FAIR punishment, ie one that doesn't hurt innocent parties more than it does the guilty club.

It's really not so simple. There very little honest dosh about for a start. Why can there be no other option for punishment? Why must all the innocent teams suffer because of the one guilty party? Someone made an analogy of not sending a child beater to jail because the kids won't get school clothes. I'd say this is like sending the father to prison, and leaving the kids out in the street to fend for themselves, and telling the them tough shit, don't you want your abusive dad to go to jail? We need to punish rangers without fucking everyone else over, cause thats what will happen. As it stands the likes of Hammel are unhappy at the reduced terms on offer. There's no chance in my mind that the likes of him, lasle or jenning will stick around if they're offered halved wages. The innocent clubs would suffer far more than Rangers IMO, which is beyond unfair.

It'd be disappointing if Randolph ended up leaving next summer for nothing. I beleive he's been better than Ruddy was when he was here, so we should really be looking to make some business out of him. He's been a wee bit off the last few weeks but still the best keeper we've had I feel.

Ideally I'd have Ojamaa in for Murphy but I don't think that goes down well on here either. I just think it's unfair that ojamaa shouldn't start when he's just scored two in 10 minutes.

Won't there be teams from other countries that have made it through the previous qualifier too? Anywhere in Western Europe will do me.
