Why not frop Higdon? He's been pretty ineffective of late. What does Ojamaa have to do to get back in the team? A 10 minute hattrick??
-
See to be honest, there was a long spell in the game where the fitba was pretty brutal. Dire hoofball stuff. Still though! Some inspired performances eventually got the team going and we've put ourselves in pole position for the CL!!
-
Personally I know as many OF fans that go to games fairly regularly as I do Well fans, although I agree it's armchair fans that seem too be a problem.
-
I'm sorry but how can anyone give Higdon MOTM? This 'he made nothing but it's not his fault' patter makes no sense. He's painfully slow and i dare say gives away more fouls than our defenders. He can do a job but he aint MOTM material right now.
-
I was saying that the other day, I think we've had more than our fair share of luck this season! Is it me or was the football at the start of the season a lot more slick than it has been in the new year?
-
I'm sure its a drop down to the playoff. So basically huge cash bonus, glamour tie/ two cracks at the europa group stages. I will be gutted if we dont make it.
-
How people can give Higdon MOTM baffles me. I'm in no way a higdon hater type but he's just outstandingly average. For a striker/attacker he does very little striking or attacking. The only thing he does successfully is hold up the ball and lay it off, even then he gives away a foul half the time. I feel people are giving him an easy ride cos of all the shite earlier in the season.

McCall's first words in his interview sums us up against the old firm. "We thought before the game we could get a point."
-
I don't think it's old firm fans sitting in the main stand that stops Well fans coming to games tbh. The main reason is cause we're almost guaranteed to get beat against the OF.
-
What do people see in McHugh? Apart form that goal against Aberdeen I've never seen him do anything, a slower, less skillful Ojamaa.
-
To be fair it looked like there were about 200 well fans in the O'Donnell anyway, so it'd be daft to leave the seats empty.
-
Humphrey was far from the worst today, same with Ojamaa when he came on. It seems to me that Higdon has gained a special exempt from criticism status. He wasn't at his worst but how many fouls does he give away?? Almost every time he challenges for the ball he's wrestling the guy. Celtic hardly needed to turn up today, they just waited for the goals to come. Startin to wonder if I should've booked my holidays for the CL qualifiers!
-
I wouldn't say 'big games', more against decent teams he doesn't tend to turn up.

All this talk of 'voting Rangers back in' is incorrect anyway. Rangers will ask the SPL for permission to transfer to a newco, they won't liquidate before doing so.
-
I think this should be the stance people take. It's atleast somewhat realistic as oppsosed to plunging everyone into crisis due to no fault of their own.
-
Also what are peoples opinions on Airdrie? Didn't that take away the integrity of the Scottish game?
-
So I take it people have been boycotting English football since the Leeds scenario?
-
What is it happened with Leeds? Weren't they allowed to stay in the league as a newco? If so, do people see English football as having zero integrity and refuse to watch it?
-
There seems to be a misconception that youth is free. Clubs need to be able to pay competitive wages or else the good youth players will be off at the first chance.
-
People talk about losing fans if Rangers get back in. But fans would also be lost if we have to downsize considerably, having dire football and expensive prices will make fans walk away too. Catch 22 it is. I think it's infair to threaten to never come back. It's not as cut and dry as choosing 'money or fans', there's a lot of things to consider.
-
Fair enough, I suppose it really comes down to how many fans feel that strongly about it. I get the feeling some people underestimate the impact it would have, it'd be a huge scaling down job, wage cuts, players out he window, and I can't see ticket prices getting any cheaper. I don't know what would happen with things like the Well Society too. The whole landscape would change, and things clubs have been working on for years would grind to halt. I'm not necessarily against a newco having to start at the bottom, it seems only fair, I'm just not so sure it's realistic..

I agree with the sentiment, but the question still stands, do you expect chairmen to vote their clubs into financial turmoil?
-
There are so many rock's and hard places to get stuck between in this whole fiasco. Ultimately, no Rangers will mean administration and possibly liquidation for a number of SPL clubs, I don't think we can shy away from that. Motherwell are in one of the stronger positions financially I feel, so on a selfish level we could say we should just grin and bare the lean years in the name of integrity. But what about others? Can we really expect chairmen to conciously vote to plunge their club into financial crisis? I agree their HAS to be tough sanctions against Rangers, but it's a delicate business, we all know how most SPL clubs are run on a shoe string. So surely we have to come to a solution which allows clubs to continue, but at the same time punish Rangers suitably?
-
I'm thinking the same too. We're more than capable of it, I just hope we play to our abilities. It's gona be a tight one, possibly the biggest run in we've had in a good few years.

His crossing was the best I can remember in a while I thought, there was rarely anyone in the box though.
