  1. Ok then lads, exactly who is signing Bigi and Carson as you both are apparently "in the know!" Thats the main thing that gets on my tits at this time of year , "Player A is away, heard it here first" Aye? Well why dont you enlighten us? Either substantiate your claims or stfu, its tedious
  2. Im hoping for a new deal for Aldred, Attacking Cm, Left wing back and a striker for Main to play off. Plus a backup keeper if Griffiths goes. You can see from the contract renewals, were going for 3-5-2 long ball dirge again next year so Im not hopeful of the attacking cm. We already have Campbell, McHugh,Rose & Grimshaw signed so its 3 defensive lads in the middle and speculative hoofball to the strikers again. It got us to 2 finals but unfortunately it also doesnt work against teams remotely competent. However, this could turn into another major rebuild now! In addition to the 4/5 named above, I doubt we will see Carson & Kipre next season, and I wouldnt be surprised if we got bids for Dunne, Cadds & Campbell. Also wouldnt be surprised to see Bigi leave and join a club who appreciate his talents. So going by that, hopefully 4/5 new faces to take us up a level, but very possibly 10+ new faces! Interesting 2 months ahead
  3. It was a real thankless task. Boyata is about 4 inches taller than him and he was fed a diet of 60 yard punts all match He chased what he could, the only criticism of him would be that he had a couple of chances he could/should have finished better
  4. I thought Grimshaw and Campbell in particular played well, they were just seriously let down by their captain failing to track runners, tackle or pass. Their 2 goals were a direct result of not tracking a man (both times McHugh I think) apart from that they had a lot of balls wide flashed across goal and only what amounted to half chances. Apart from the worldy from Dembeles header 2nd half I dont recall Carson having a save to make whereas we hit the bar and made 4 or 5 very good chances, just didnt have luck on our side. I thought our first 5 mins were brilliant, the snapping at their heels and harrying them had the Celtic players flustered, unfortunately tho we allowed them a soft opener after 10 and that settled them
  5. Bring back Stuart McCall! This going into a cup final believing we could beat Celtic is a bit shite!
  6. Cant play Celtic wi 10 men and we did that for 60 mins. McHugh should be ashamed of that "performance" And our "tactics" of punt it long and hope Main & Bowman get lucky did us no favours On the plus side, Campbell was great, Bigi made such a difference and Hardman Broony utterly shat out of a 50/50 wi big Cedric lol.
  7. Just on the A9 at Perth now. Was nervous/wound up last night, but worryingly confident all the way down. Probably a chance Il be a wreck by the time I hit Hampden tho lol Waa there in 1991 as a 10 year old, one of the craziest experiences of my life. Heres hopong today is the same
  8. Im picturing the scene in Spartacus! "Im Goggles & Flippers, no IM Goggles & Flippers ......."
  9. They only had to give an address, doesnt have to be local. Ive got a workmate who supports Celtic and he bought tickets for himself and his wife last weekend. Apart from Season Ticket Holders and Well Society members how can the club police it? What would the criteria be? Its impossible.
  10. Wheres Carson going? And how much?
  11. Thinking of train between Central & Mount Florida. How easy/difficult would that be? I imagine its chaos after the game?
  12. I have no idea at the moment. I was under the same impression, I thought you booked the bus with the tickets! Not fancying Train wi the work going on that day and driving/parking gonna be a nightmare so prob look for another fan bus from one of the pubs, or get a lift from a local family member
  13. I just got mine on phone, just over an hour solid on redial to get in. Gutted club buses are sold out tho. Gonna have to go with a plan B
  14. I was at the 2011 Final and my personal opinion on why our crowd was shite is that we went into the final losing our last 4 or 5 games , conceding over 20 goals in doing so. Our "build up" was McCall going on and on and on and on about how even after a successful season, our budget was being cut again and we would struggle to keep our best players. Then finally we arrived at Hampden to the news Stevie fucking Hammell was our midfield general for the match . I know I had absolutely zero enthusiasm for the game and was only there cause I didnt know when we'd be in another final! Im sure I wasnt alone
  15. Dont know what happened with Rose, didnt think it was anything Malicious tho. Main was pure stupidity from himself, tried to push Fontaine while jumping for a header and landed full weight on his wrist. Was a tough game tho, Souttar won every header that came his way as he is about 7 feet tall, but every other aerial challenge was accompanied by pushes and stray elbows.
  16. Rose is done! He didnt move a muscle for about 2 minutes when he got injured. I actually thought he'd got ko-d but then looked to be favouring his shoulder/upper chest so broken collarbone sounds about right. Main is also a lucky lucky boy. He went for a petulant mid air push/barge wi a County defender and landed flush on his wrist. Thought it was a definate broken wrist/arm!
  17. That was an utter shitfest. Pumping 862 long balls to a 7 foot centre half was a tactical masterstroke by SR! Our "performance" was summed up by Bigi having the ball in cm and pointing/screaming at Cadds to run into the acres of space behind the full back so he could pass, but Cadds instead standing on the halfway line waving his arms meaning Bigi then had to try run with it and git tackled by 3 County players. Laughable! You have to feel for players like Bigi when he has to contend with hammer throwers for opposition and tactically clueless teammates
  18. Your looking at £150k for the extra OF Game, (5000 extra fans at £25 + £25k additional hospitality) Probs around £1.4m transfer cash but who knows the annual breakdowns, could be all up front, could be £350k a year for 4 years! Plus Les & Boyle get their cut. Sure I read League Cup Final appearance made you £900k & Scottish Cup Final appearances £1.5m (combined prize money,tv money and ticket sales etc), take away what we originally budgeted for and player bonuses and your looking at maybe £1.4m pure profit. If weve budgeted for 10th and finish 8th, your looking at around £300k extra and Im sure the UEFA cash was around £450k (but has to be used for youth/running costs tho will cover anything with creative accounting) So all in all your probably looking at around £2.3m pure profit plus whatever we get from the transfer cash. However, you can see were already spending this cash with the new contracts, Pete signing etc so in the annual accounts it will be substantially less. Still, a fantastic year on and off the pitch and huge credit to all involved
  19. The League cup is an SFL tournament so they need to follow their same price for similar seat bollocks. Scottish Cup is SFA so they can price it however they like
  20. Went for Main. Got his goal, worked like a trojan and utterly Man-Shamed about 4 Hearts players at the end shielding the ball, including sending wee Cochrane halfway to Wishaw
  21. Lafferty and Naismith are really unlikeable. And that Milinkovic lad is just a diving wee cunt. Big Dunne shouldve cemented him and really given him a reason to go down. Cochrane was utterly out of his depth, a coyple nice crosses but Campbell outshone him a mile. Cant understand Levein and the Tv pundits saying Hearts deserved a draw at least. We dominated 1st half and last 15 mins. They had a great half hour from ht onwards. But even then, better decision making from Tanner on those breaks and we'd have had them buried during that time too.
  22. That the 16 year old the commentators were near spunking over? Wasnt that impressed, looked decent but nothi g spectacular. Loved when Main sat him down like a wee bairn tho
  23. Thought we'd blown it with Kipre's cock-up. McHugh's goal was a screamer but big up to Carson who's wonder save meant McHugh's goal actually counted for something! Great gutsy performane, now on to Rangers or Celtic in the semi,wd prefer the other gane but everyone knows the SFA will want their glamour final
  24. Eh? How can the first be an own goal when it wasnt over the line before Main touched it?
  25. Holy actual fuck Batman! Behind Saint Brendan, Steve Clarke is the best manager in Scottish Football!! Thats based on him being one of the most respected coaches in the uk, a manager who guided West Brom to 8th in the Premiership and guiding a Killie team who struggled under McCulloch to top 6 so far with a 56% win ratio. To even compare Clarke and Robinson is utterly hilarious
