1 issue we have is Alexander's preferred formation is 4-4-2, but we have no wingers to play that way. Although I looked back through his teams match history and he does seem to change formations for different opponents. I think tomo he will want a solid foundation so You are looking at Kelly / O'Donnell, Gallagher, O'Hara, Carroll. After that Id prob have Campbell & Maguire holding with Cole, Polworth & Hastie in behind Watt up front. Not ideal as the Cole, Poly, Hastie trio is pretty poor but its all we have.

Chris Lucketti has been Alexander's assistant most of his managerial career. Pity about Mo Ross, and not surprised Las staying for the sake of the old boys club

I remember playing for Holytown Colts against Motherwell Bridgeworks many times back in the late 80's/early 90's. The Bridgeworks pitch was angled at halfway, so you could play a pass literally straight down the line and the ball would either be 3 or 4 yards out, or 3 or 4 yards infield depending the way you were facing. If the goalies punted it and nobody got a touch, the ball would roll out for a bye kick halfway between the goal and corner flag instead of rolling thro to the other keeper

Kelly is a good signing. Now bring in Cedric Kipre, Kevin McDonald & Jason Cummings on loan along with the new Manager and that will tide us over to the summer where we can rebuild

I took little real notice about how St Johnstone played in general over the Tommy Wright years, however the one thing I do remember is them regularly beating us and always seeming to be a bit of a "bogey team". Id be happy enough with him in charge Id have been very excited about Simon Grayson a couple years ago, but his recent experiences have tarnished him a bit. No idea of the circumstances of his last few jobs, but for me he has to be the outsider Las is covered in Robinson stink and shouldnt be anywhere near even an interview, nevermind the actual job. He was part of the senior Management team who have not only underperformed, but built a team with a shocking attitude, if they arent gonna try for Robbo, they clearly arent gonna do so for Las I have to admit, until seeing his name on here, I never even realized Alexander was managing to any decent level. However, after reading up a bit on him, he's the one candidate that is most intriguing and potentially the most exciting. He is fairly experienced and from what I can see has done a good job at all 3 clubs he has managed. The Salford sacking itself was an absolute joke. Interesting times ahead, hopefully we find out soon

Theres a big difference between first team players in league 1 & 2, and reserves or players in the Conference & Lower. It looks like this Transfer Guru we have is only able to scout players within a short distance from his Newcastle home. Someone like Alexander would have far better and widespread contacts. Theres also a fair difference between building a team of Academy players, some of the better Scottish players and a handful of decent lower league English players and filling a team with a dozen shiters from the Gateshead League North
