nope and he has been a magnificent servant! However we need more legs,more tackling ability and better distribution in our midfield, all 3 areas Las is terrible in. His legs are gone understandably,his tackling ,which has always been poor,is getting worse the slower he gets and he couldnt pass water. He should be offered a contract in a coaching role only from this summer,we need to move on

if we dont punt Lasley and Hammell I really do despair. Las has been miles off everytime Ive seen him this season, he does his usual of turning it on for 1 game but now its the following 7 or 8 games where he is pure gash! We need a younger midfield unit, to keep Las means we need to try play 3 in there to compensate for his shocking lack of pace now

WTF was our formation for the last 15? It kinda fucked any momentum we had cause we had no mosfield and so bypassed it in favour of the 5 strikers lol. Moult is a great worker and Marvin is a talent,both will command us fees. Bog Kennedy was commanding too,similar to big Hutch. we really need to replace Law & Las in the summer tho. Law was relatively solid but lost his man a few times at the back post, 1 time when we should really have been punished. Lasley was the worst player on the pitch as well. Half an hour late to every tackle,couldnt find a man with amy kind of pass and just generally slow and awful. Not convinced Gomis is the answer eithet

Was dissappointed by Skippy, Law was average with a sprinkling of pish (continually losing his man at the back post) that shouldve seen us go 2-1 down. And Lasley was the worst player on the pitch

im confused by the reports on here. I thought we only lose and our midfield turns to shite when the Amazing Las is missing? We are in a dog fight and does anyone,even the happiest of clappers,see us having the organization and balls to fight our way out of it? Jesus,weve started about 18 different players and lined up in 5-6 different formations in the last 5 games! How can anyone be surprised were shipping late soft goals with that going on?

Im sorry man,a lot of what you say is bang on but I just cannot see where he holds the midfield together, all too often teams run thro our midfield as if it werent there. Las is still capable of the odd fantastic performance, but over the course of a season his distribution,speed and tackling is in the main,atrocious! He should go in the summer and concentrate on coaching or start a new venture pumping wives when there hubbys are at the game We do miss him when he is not playing,but that says more about our horribly unbalanced squad than Las's ability. Generally when he is missing we change formation as CM has been neglected by numerous managers now.

thats my point mate. But how do we replace them if/when we go down? Bringing in other players with the experience that lot have will cost a lot of money, but it will keep us ahead of the Falkirks etc. If we replace those guys with experienced journeymen from championship level (ie 7-8 Josh Laws) to compliment the youngsters in the squad, you could argue we'd be below a Falkirk/Raith. My point is EVERY ONE of our perceived "experienced" & "quality" players are old and fucked and we will need to replace the lot should we go down. That doesnt happen to any/many teams when they go down

I totally agree that Ainsworth is amazing or shite and rarely in between. But can you honestly tell me the way to treat a player whos attitude is questionable is to scapegoat them to the media after a mistake,build him up for being "unleashed" before leaving him on the bench then finally playing him and hooking him at galf time? to me,thats shocking man management

whats everyones thoughts on McGhees handling of Ainsworth? Hung out to dry one week, Hooked at half time after a horror show the next. Has he destroyed one of our most potent attacking weapons?

on paper we are better than them but thats BECAUSE of Samson,McManus,Hammell,Gomis ,Lasley,Pearson,McDonald,McFadden,Clarkson,Ainsworth. Take them out and how do we replace that to make sure we go straight back up? Theres no way we will have the money to replace like for like so we run the risk of going the Falkirk route

for lads saying they wouldnt mind us going down so we could reboot as it were, that may be a dangerous wish. for other teams they have a core of experience and blood youth, we have plenty youth to blood but its the experienced part of the squad we need to ditch completely! McManus,Hammell,Lasley,Pearson,McDonald, Ainsworth,Gomis,Clarky,Faddy would be the first players out the club and would be the costliest to replace, going with youth only is a recipe for disaster.

not really a fair comparison tho. Before, without him meant Leitch/Taylor/Laing would replace him. Now, Gomis would and Gomis is a better player than Keef will ever be. The fact is "Keef" is a near 40 year old very limited footballer. He gives 100% and has been a great servant but he is slow,his tackling is poor,passing is average and goal threat non existant. Pearson is a far superior attacking midfielder. Gomis is a far superior defensive midfielder. Logical that the housewifes favourite is the one to drop out

Id give Lionel a shot up front, Point to prove, lightning quick,great striker of a ball,good finisher and doesnt matter if he slacks a bit defensively. Drop Las for Gomis and the rest as is.
