Get rid of Lasley! Hinchliffe can stay as GK Coach, Mo Ross would depend how involved he was in training and decision making. If, as I expect, he had little input other than running the planned training drills then Id be ok with him staying. If he was actively involved then bye bye too. We need a clean slate, not an old boys club

Fleetwood sacked him after they had a bad start to the season (season after he won them promotion), Scunthorpe did so after he was on an 8 game run without a win (and even after that run they were still 5th!) and Salford have been slaughtered for sacking him, but apparently its "part of their plan" to sack managers when they are doing ok and they want promotion every season

He's had it tight so far in his Managerial career. Sacked by Fleetwood a few games into the season after winning promotion, sacked by Scunthorpe while 5th in the table, then sacked by Salford after a promotion, getting to a cup final & mid table before covid and then starting the new season 5 unbeaten with them in the playoff spots. Certainly a different and interesting name

Ive always liked the Rb Naismith (Jason?) who is now back at Ross County on a short term deal. Maybe we can work out a swap deal, Polworth & White go back up north for Naismith & Stewart

I would totally agree with You had we sacked Robbo anytime in the last 4 months, which is when we should have! Him leaving a day or two before the Jan transfer window opening has painted us into a corner tho. We dont have time to give "something different" a chance to work so we NEED a safe pair of hands to keep us in the division

The big concern for me about Tommy Wright would be that his success at St Johnstone came with Callum Davidson as assistant and Davidson is rated as a fantastic coach. When Davidson left to go to Stoke, it coincided with St Johnstone nosediving. Now, its clear to anyone who watches football that Motherwell are a poorly coached team so Las should be gone. That means we would need either a new assistant with a coaching pedigree or Mo Ross to step up to Assistant? (How much influence did Mo have on the current coaching setup given his position?) Bringing in Wright and keeping Las, while also being the cheap option, is also a hell of a risk in my eyes

Tony Watt was St Johnstone's best player in that season. He was offered a new contract but left to take a sack full of cash from CSKA Sofia, like we all would, then ended up at us as it wasnt for him. If anything, it could be argued that Tommy Wright was the man who revived Tony Watt's career and not the fabled Robbo. Either way, I dont think Watt & Wright would have any problems

To be fair I forgot they gave him a new contract when the Sunderland / Rangers carry on was happening. Still, makes no difference to us. We will be paying £150k max, and prob closer to £100k

When McGhee left he was on around £150k wi us as it was reported his Aberdeen salary was an extra grand a week and just over £200k. I believe McInness is on £250k currently wi The Dons Robbo was a cheap option so he was prob on £100k max

He's another one in the Danny Cowley mould. Would get us organised & competetive, but mosy likely well out of our price range

Just watched the highlights. That fucking clown in goal should never play for us again. The first 2 goals were some of the worst "goalkeeping" Ive ever seen Jake Carroll had a shocker too. Wee Allan just looks haunted. And for his detractors, (and I know it was highlights) Polworth was our best player by a mile!

FFS McLeish indeed. The guy makes Joe Biden look compus mentus! He quite clearly has issues and should be nowhere near a managerial job, for his or the clubs sake. Im not sure who we need to be honest. The right guy is probably well outwith our price range because its going to be a huge job. Even moulding his own squad is gonna be an issue with us having shite like Grimshaw, Lamie, McGinlay & White still contracted for another year and every capable footballer at the club out of contract in the summer. For me, Danny Cowley is the man Id want out of all available coaches at the mo. Did an Incredible job at Lincoln City & rescued Huddersfield from the drop. Has a phenomenal knowledge of the English Lower Leagues too! His football style may be a bit "agricultural" for some, but we would have an organized and motivated team. Outwith that, it needs to be Tommy Wright, who has enough about him to keep us up. Any other name gives me the fear, because this squad is a fucking disgrace to top level professional football. When Tony Watt, a guy who has floated round europe for the last 5 years with a majorly questionable attitude, is the one player in your team who looks to be trying, you know there are major issues
