As I said in my previous post McCall has done real well in the league but in context,weve had every big club in the country either implode or rebuild. At the same time weve had guys the calibre of Randolph,Hutch,McManus,Faddy,Law,Sutton, Higdon,Ojamaa,Hunphrey,Murphy so in reality finishing second is really only 1 place higher than we SHOULD be finishing at the moment. Now we have Aberdeen & United looking stronger while we look like being weaker yet again,how do we finish 2nd or 3rd again? We need fitness, organisation,team spirit,a bit of quality, luck,to be well drilled esp defending set pieces, tactically astute & flexible, maybe some new ideas from management but the fact is we still have some quality,hopefully will carry the luck and McCall has bolstered 1 criteria (team spirit) at the expense of everything else! We pay handsomely (ok not basic,but with bonuses added it is) for a team who yet again do not look fit, defend set pieces like a pub team, fail to capitalize on our own set pieces,make the same basic errors time and again and do not learn and are in the comfort zone of knowing what the team will be every week no matter what,but hey they have a great craic in Nandos every week so its all good. What do we do in training every day (well the days we actually train) because evidently it isnt fitness work,basic technical skills,defending set pieces,attacking from set pieces or game planning

I dont care how many were from open play or dodgy pens,we lost 5 goals to a Part-Time team, thats unforgiveable. And in the process,blew an easy £750k, Everyone from the manager to the first team squad should have the last 2 weeks wages docked and put into the Well Society for that abomination. And as for "Keef" aye I agree keep him out of our box,preferably on the bench until his fitness is somewhat comparable to that of a pro footballer, same happened last season and the one before,shite for 5 months then some big games in the last round of matches,how he got a 2 year deal is beyond me. For me,and Ive never been a fan of him, but Id like to see McCall on his way now. Yes weve had great league finishes but considering the City clubs have been either rebuilding or completely imploding is finishing 2nd or 3rd with the calibre of players weve had really that remarkable? A tenure that has seen us shit it and gift a win to 3rd Div Rangers, 10 man (for 81 mins) Aberdeen,A penalty loss to a freefalling Hibs, plus Albion Rovers + Stjarnan, the 2 worst results in the Clubs 128 year history, Albion + Stjarnan alone would have netted us £1m if we had won. We are developing no youngsters, McCall only grudgingly plays one of our youngsters only if there is no-one else left,thats desparation,not development. He has handed out 2 year deals to 3 of the worst keepers i can ever remember us having,as well as 35yo Keef, and Bob McfuckingHugh and has instilled a culture of poor fitness and preparation. Id fucking sell my kids for the chance to get paid £1k pw + bonuses, playing 1 football match, having sundays + wednesdays off and a working day the rest of the time of 2-3 hours. Added to 6 weeks off in the Summer where I didnt even have to bother keeping myself in any kind of fitness and getting a weeks paid lads holiday to the sun for my efforts. Id be a scratch golfer,Nandos afficionado and FIFA expert in no time. No wonder everyone at Fir Park loves their job!

Noah,my thoughts exactly. Fraser Kerr,6'3 Centre Half who has a great turn of pace,heres a novel idea,play him where he has played all his career and stop fucking about at right mid! Given 4 or 5 games together,Kerr & McManus could start to develop a decent partnership

Law starting? fair step up for him, unadventurous 4-5-1 which puts huge pressure on Ainsworth to support Sutton. Stjarnan drew 2-2 today,scoring late to equalize. They gonna be in great confidence and are scoring goals. Thursday could be a tough slog. Esp with our apparent willingness at Fir Park to hand away teams easy goals in europe.

Should be Kerr centre half and Ramsden right back. Feel for Clarkson,never exactly my highest rated player but no-one deserves to be called no better than Boab McHugh, that guy is barely a footballer nevermind a striker

Clarkson has scored 25 goals in the last 5 seasons playing at a standard that is similar or just below ours. When he left he was a 23 year old with potential and worked like a trojan. He has not progressed and if anything has regressed. Lee Erwin scored half that amount in 6 months at Arbroath last season,and was highly praised for his play, why not give him a chance and wait for something better? Clarkson would be a total step back and a poor signing when every penny is a prisoner

Would be gutted if Clarkson came back. Surely we could save the cash and let 1 of the kids run around a lot up front and score occasionally? Would be a definate step backward.

Not sure about who wanted him but he was punted due to his billy big time attitude,apparently Thompson was far from impressed and McNamara didnt play him due to it

Boyd would be unreal. Kept Killie up single handedly and if Sutton could score 20+ in this team,Boyd could score 25-30 easily

I dont think it helps him being switched between left back and mid when he is still young and learning. He came to us a full back,started there when he broke through and I remember 2 or 3 games the season before last watching and being impressed with his reading of the game,I think it was Caley 4-0 at Fir Park,he covered the centre halves 4 or 5 times making crucial blocks. He has the ability to play in the SPFL either as a full back or a winger (personally I like him as a winger),we just need to decide how best to use him and help build his confidence. Coming in at 19 and playing left back,left mid,left back,left mid,dropped after a poor game or even after a good game,back in,played when low in confidence etc. That cant help his development fully,but focus him,give him support and a run of games and he will do a good job for us.

Would be a bit dissappointed if we didnt get Ainsworth,but if its Burke instead? WOW. The guy was superb last season in the championship tho,no way can i ever see us signing him

Even if Ainsworth doesnt sign, McCall leaves or we resign Boab Malcolm on 20k pw,,most folk on here will be too busy havin a vigorous stroke at the news of Lasley re-signing to even notice lol

Ideal Top flight would be Motherwell Celtic , Rangers, Dundee , Dundee Utd , Aberdeen , Hibs , Hearts , Inverness CT , ST Johnstone , Falkirk , Morton The big city teams and Falkirk + Morton who bring decent away crowds. Get rid of Partick,St Midden,Ross Cunty + Killie run by an actual competent Chief Executive who had an ounce of commercial savvy and was able to negotiate half decent sponsorships + TV Deals

Thats it, to qualify for the europa groups is the final thing left for us, even winning a cup wouldnt be as big an achievement as finishing best of the rest again. 3 in a row is incredible!
